SeaWheeze Returns: Peloton Instructors Bring Dynamic Energy to Vancouver

SeaWheeze, Lululemon’s Vancouver race and festival weekend, is back after a seven year break and runs August 6 through 8, 2026. Erik Jäger and Hannah Frankson are both listed as official pacers on the event’s Meet Your Pacers page for the August 8 race. Erik, Peloton’s Berlin based strength and Power Zone instructor, and Hannah, who teaches across bike and tread, will help runners hit specific finish times along the course. Adrian Williams is dipping his toe into the marathon waters and Dr Chelsea Jackson Roberts will be teaching.

A Brief History of SeaWheeze

SeaWheeze first launched in 2012 and quickly became one of Vancouver’s signature summer events, drawing about 10,000 runners each year from across Canada and beyond. The 21.1 kilometer course winds along the city’s waterfront, passing through Stanley Park, downtown and Kitsilano, the neighborhood where Lululemon got its start. The SeaWheeze race weekend built its reputation on more than just running, pairing the half marathon with sunrise yoga sessions, live music and the Sunset Festival in Stanley Park. The last in person event took place in 2019, followed by two virtual editions during the pandemic, before Lululemon officially closed the race down in 2022. After years of requests from the running community, the brand announced a full return to Vancouver for 2026, bringing the half marathon back to the city where it all began.

Peloton Instructors and Their Marathon Backgrounds

Hannah Frankson’s running journey has moved quickly. She completed her first marathon at the 2024 London Marathon, finishing in just over four hours after training with fellow Peloton instructors including Leanne Hainsby and Ben Alldis. More recently, she ran the HOKA Hackney Half in May 2026, which she described as her first half marathon distance race. She is currently training for the NYC Marathon. Erik Jäger has built a steady running résumé closer to home, taking part in the Berlin Half Marathon multiple years running and leading Peloton’s community shakeout runs and mobility sessions around race weekend.

Adrian Williams, meanwhile, comes to distance running from a different background entirely. Known on Peloton for sprint focused tread, row and strength classes, Adrian does not have a marathon or half marathon on his public record, which makes his current SeaWheeze training block something of a new frontier for him. He posted on Instagram that a recent five mile run was his longest training run in a year as he builds toward the half marathon distance.

Confirmed: A SeaWheeze Yoga Session and Peloton Meet and Greet

The details are official. According to SeaWheeze’s PreWheeze event page, a guided yoga session at Jack Poole Plaza at 12 pm will be led by Dr. Chelsea Jackson Roberts, Peloton instructor and Lululemon ambassador, focused on gentle movement, mobility and breathwork to help runners feel grounded ahead of the miles ahead. Friends and family are welcome to join, and sign up is available on site. Separately, a Peloton Meet and Greet booth will let attendees meet instructors Adrian, Chelsea, Erik and Hannah in person. It is scheduled for 2 – 3 pm and registration is not required for the meet and greet, so members can simply stop by, say hello and grab a photo.

What to Expect This Weekend

Keep your eyes peeled for more news from Vancouver as instructors post through the weekend. This is an event that is sure to bring joy to many who have missed this race over the last few years.

My daily therapy is provided by Peloton and I truly believe that movement is medicine. I don't discriminate - bike, tread, yoga, strength, pilates and a ton of meditation. By day, I am a psychotherapist and director of a large counseling center in NJ. I am particularly passionate about women's mental health, especially in midlife. By night, I am a mom to 2 dachshunds and a scruffy mutt and wife to a chiropractor that keeps us all moving (yes, that includes the dogs!). Besides Peloton, I am obsessed with hard rock (think Octane on Sirius), Law and Order everything and a good thriller. Find me on the Peloton leaderboard at #JustAskForHelp.
