Robin Arzón Lorax Campaign Launches to Fight Heat Illness
The Robin Arzón Lorax collaboration is bringing heat safety messaging to families ahead of peak summer sports season. Peloton instructor Robin Arzón has spearheaded Play It Cool, an outdoor heat safety campaign with Dr. Seuss Enterprises designed to help families, coaches, and young athletes recognize the signs of heat-related illness.

Robin Arzón Lorax Campaign Details
The campaign’s mantra centers on three actionable steps:
- Speak Up: Tell an adult when you or a teammate feel too hot.
- Sit Out: Take breaks, move out of direct sun, and don’t push through the heat.
- Cool Down: Lower body temperature through hydration, shade, and rest.
The collaboration surfaced publicly in a short video posted to Arzón’s Instagram account, showing her working out alongside the Lorax character before the post shifts into safety messaging. Pairing the campaign with a recognizable children’s character is intentional. The Lorax, known for speaking for the environment, gives the campaign a mascot that makes heat awareness approachable for kids, translating serious medical advice into concepts families can use without added stress.

According to an Aspen Institute press release announcing the campaign, Arzón sees the initiative as rooted in giving every child a safe path to staying active. “Being active helps build confidence, joy, and resilience,” said Arzón, adding that early recognition of heat risk is what keeps kids healthy and engaged in the sports they love.

Arzón’s involvement lines up with her role as Peloton’s VP of Fitness Programming and one of the platform’s longest tenured instructors, a position that has built her a public profile well beyond the classes she teaches across bike, tread, strength, and other formats. The Robin Arzón Lorax pairing gives Play It Cool a familiar fitness voice alongside fellow campaign partner Napheesa Collier, a Minnesota Lynx player also lending her platform to the initiative.
