Rare Impact Fund Auction Sells Cody Rigsby Package for $18K
Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby was part of the Rare Impact Fund Benefit in Los Angeles, where a lululemon x Peloton experience featuring him sold at auction for $18,000. The October 14 evening raised money for youth mental health, and Cody marked the night with a message about caring for your mind.
Cody is one of Peloton’s most recognizable instructors, known for his boisterous Cycling classes and for competing on Dancing with the Stars in 2022. His role at the benefit came through a partnership with lululemon, one of the event’s sponsors.
What the Rare Impact Fund Does
Selena Gomez launched the Rare Impact Fund in 2020 alongside Rare Beauty, which donates 1% of all sales to it. The fund aims to mobilize $100 million for organizations that expand access to youth mental health services and education around the world.
It supports 30 nonprofit partners across five continents and reaches about 3.5 million young people each year. Rare Beauty’s chief impact officer, Elyse Cohen, has said the annual benefit helps the fund invest in those organizations for the long term.
Inside the Rare Impact Fund Benefit in Los Angeles
Gomez hosted the fourth annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit, titled A Night of Radiance & Reflection, at the Hollywood Palladium. Sponsors included lululemon, Ulta Beauty, Pacsun and Afterpay.
The benefit has grown since it began. The 2024 edition raised more than $2 million, and the auction is a core part of the format. The 2025 auction featured exclusive Rare Beauty experiences, vacation packages at five-star resorts and signed sports memorabilia. This year, lululemon added Peloton to that lineup.
Inside the lululemon x Peloton Wellbeing Experience
Cody was one of the auction items. The package, billed as the lululemon x Peloton Wellbeing Experience, began with a private shopping experience at the lululemon Hudson Yards store, complete with a breakfast spread for the winner and five guests. A lululemon Ambassador or Peloton instructor would shop alongside the group, and each of the six attendees would receive a $1,000 lululemon gift card.
The package also included exclusive product gifting from lululemon and Peloton and a VIP experience with a dedicated studio host at Peloton Studios New York. The finale was front-row bike reservations for a live class taught by Cody, followed by a meet-and-greet. Together, the pieces pair a shopping morning with a studio visit in New York. It sold for $18,000.
Cody’s 2026 (and it’s not over yet!)
Cody has had a busy 2026. In May, he appeared in Queerty’s weekly Instagram roundup alongside Benson Boone and joined the cast of the comedic slasher Bach Sh*t Crazy. In June, Peloton announced that he would teach live classes at Peloton Studios London from July 24 to 26, and a meet and greet was added for July 25. In New York, Navy sailors took his Pop Ride during Fleet Week. The Clip Out also covered the end of his podcast, Tactful Pettiness.
What Cody Wore to the Rare Impact Fund Benefit
Cody chose a dark brown double-breasted suit with wide-leg trousers. Underneath he wore a light blue shirt with a mustard-yellow tie, which was the brightest color in the outfit against the brown. A decorative black and gold piece sat at the collar, and a small green cactus pin on the lapel added a detail of its own. He finished the look with a mustache and tan shoes.
In an Instagram post about the night, Cody wrote: “In my mental health era. A friendly reminder that taking care of your mind isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. So call your loved ones, go to therapy, and keep shaking ass on the dance floor. Honored to partner with @lululemon and be part of the Rare Impact Fund Benefit, helping raise money for youth mental health. It’s a reminder that when we show up for each other, we can turn good intentions into real impact. Thank you @selenagomez and @rarebeauty for an iconic night and for championing such an important cause.”
His message sits close to the fund’s own mission. Cody pointed to simple actions, from calling loved ones to going to therapy, and framed the evening as a way to turn good intentions into real impact.
With the $100 million goal still ahead, the Rare Impact Fund relies on nights like this one, where brand partnerships and auction bids turn into funding for youth mental health programs.
