Peloton’s The Residency Martha’s Vineyard: Big Event Details & Schedule
Peloton’s The Residency Martha’s Vineyard Presence
Chelsea Jackson Roberts joins a five-day Oak Bluffs and Edgartown gathering built around Black culture, wellness, and community.
Peloton’s The Residency Martha’s Vineyard involvement places the brand alongside Diageo, Hers, Gold Bond, and Atlanta Life in a new five-day social hub that opened August 11, 2026 in Edgartown and Oak Bluffs. Peloton instructor Chelsea Jackson Roberts is part of the wellness programming, bringing her yoga and meditation practice to one of the country’s most historically significant Black vacation destinations.

What The Residency Martha’s Vineyard Includes
The Residency was created by Brand New: A Collective, a women-owned marketing agency known for activations at the Super Bowl, the Met Gala, and the US Open. The event runs August 11 through 15 at The Harborside Inn in Edgartown and Eleven Circuit in Oak Bluffs, and it marks the agency’s first venture into owning a cultural platform rather than executing one for another brand.
Each day of Peloton’s The Residency: Martha’s Vineyard experience follows a similar rhythm. Mornings open with wellness programming under “The Morning Reset” branded with Peloton and Chelsea Jackson Roberts, afternoons shift into founder-led panels and community hours, and evenings close with social programming, including “After Hours at Eleven” featuring DJ Drama and a special performance by Yung Joc on August 15. Diageo serves as the exclusive spirits partner, and Femme It Forward is bringing its High Tea experience to the island for the first time.
Peloton’s Role in the Programming
Peloton’s presence runs through the “Morning Reset” block across multiple days. The published schedule lists a Peloton Yoga Mat Class on Friday, August 14, at 9:00 a.m. ET, a Peloton Meditation and Stretching session on Saturday, August 15, at 9:00 a.m. ET, and a Peloton Mindful Beach Walk on Thursday, August 13, at 8:00 a.m. ET. Chelsea Jackson Roberts has built a pattern of off-platform wellness appearances over the past year, including a session at the Studio Museum in Harlem and a talk at NAMICon 2026.
Why Martha’s Vineyard Carries Historical Weight
Oak Bluffs has served as a gathering place for Black families since the turn of the 20th century, when Shearer Cottage opened in 1912 as the island’s first inn welcoming African American visitors. Inkwell Beach, named by outsiders as a slight, became a point of pride and remains a daily meeting spot for the Polar Bears swim club, a tradition dating to the late 1940s.
Writers and musicians from the Harlem Renaissance spent summers on the island, and generations of Black families have returned to Oak Bluffs specifically because it offered rest without the burden of exclusion found elsewhere. Locating The Residency in Edgartown and Oak Bluffs places the event inside that continuum.
What Comes Next
Brand New: A Collective has described Martha’s Vineyard as a launch point rather than a final destination, with plans to bring The Residency’s format to other cities. For Peloton, the appearance adds to a growing list of instructor-led activations happening outside the platform, a pattern worth watching as the company leans further into experiential partnerships tied to wellness and community.
