Peloton’s Community in Motion Visits Chicago Groups
Peloton’s Community in Motion program had a visible presence in Chicago over Juneteenth weekend, connecting with two organizations new to the program’s roster.
Alia McCants, Social Impact Lead at Peloton, documented the visits on LinkedIn. She visited Project H.O.O.D., which is building an 89,000-square-foot opportunity center directly across from O Block on Chicago’s South Side, and XS Tennis Inc., which promises every parent that their child will earn a full ride to a Division I school or a top-tier HBCU.
“What a privilege for them to have invited Peloton into their transformative work,” McCants wrote.

A Weekend Built Around Movement and Freedom
The trip also included a walk through the South Side with GirlTREK and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, alongside Chicago partners, for a special Sisterhood Saturday edition. McCants framed the walk around a question: what is freedom, she asked, if not the right to move bodies, families, and lives toward whatever people choose.
Peloton instructor Dr. Chelsea Jackson Roberts recently led a GirlTREK group through a yoga session at Peloton Studios New York, part of the same ongoing partnership that showed up in Chicago for Juneteenth.

New Ground for the Program
Both Project H.O.O.D. and XS Tennis Inc. represent new additions to Peloton’s Community in Motion program, expanding a partner roster that already includes the 2026 Wellbeing for Life partner class. McCants called the trip a whirlwind 36 hours, one that left her inspired by people doing extraordinary work in an extraordinary time.
For Peloton members who follow the company’s social impact work, the visit offers a clearer picture of where Community in Motion is showing up next, and which organizations it considers worth the trip.
