Peloton Varosha Ride Among 2 Classes Removed From Library

The 15 minute Varosha Ride and Bradley Rose’s 30 minute Halloween Ride, which included Varosha footage, are gone, and members report lower Halloween challenge counts.

The Peloton Varosha Ride is no longer in Peloton’s on demand library, and Bradley Rose’s 30 min Halloween Ride is gone too. Members have noticed both classes missing, and those who took them report that their Halloween challenge count dropped after the classes were removed.

The removals come as the Hellenic American Leadership Council (HALC) calls on Peloton to pull the Peloton Varosha Ride from its 2026 Halloween collection and issue a public apology. HALC made the request on October 30, as Kathimerini first reported. The 15 minute virtual cycling experience is set in Varosha, an uninhabited suburb of Famagusta in Cyprus.

Two Halloween Classes Missing From the On Demand Library

Peloton Varosha Ride schedule listing for Wednesday, October 28 at 10 AM ET

The Peloton Varosha Ride was a 15 minute scenic class that premiered Wednesday, October 28 at 10 a.m. ET (2 p.m. BST) as part of the Peloton Halloween collection. Bradley Rose’s 30 min Halloween Ride was a separate cycling class. Neither one appears in the on demand library now.

The two classes share a location. As TCO noted in its review of Bradley’s Halloween Scenic Ride, his class travels through six stops: Bran Castle in Romania, the abandoned ghost town of Varosha, Savannah’s Bonaventure Cemetery, the Goli Otok island prison, Colorado’s Last Chance Mines, and a stormy sea. Most of those locations also run as shorter standalone scenic rides.

Peloton has not publicly said why either class was removed. Varosha footage appears in both, though HALC’s request named only the Peloton Varosha Ride.

Halloween Challenge Counts Drop for Some Members

Members who took the Peloton Varosha Ride or Bradley’s 30 min Halloween Ride say their Halloween challenge count has gone down. The drop came after the classes were removed, even though those members had already completed them.

For anyone working toward the challenge, that could mean adding one or two classes to make up the difference. The Peloton Halloween collection reaches well beyond cycling, with Tread, Strength, Yoga, Meditation, and more. TCO’s rundown of the 2026 Halloween classes covers the rest of this year’s lineup.

What HALC Says About the Peloton Varosha Ride

In a message to supporters, HALC Executive Director Endy Zemenides called the inclusion of the class in the Halloween lineup unacceptable. The organization stated that “Varosha is not a fictional ghost town or a spooky tourist attraction.” It describes the district as a real community whose residents were forced to flee during Turkey’s 1974 invasion.

More than 52 years later, HALC says, displaced families are still denied the right to return to their homes. The group frames the district’s deserted streets as a reminder of displacement and injustice. In its view, that history makes the Peloton Varosha Ride an inappropriate fit for a Halloween themed workout.

HALC’s Three Requests to Peloton

HALC asked Peloton to take three steps. First, remove the Peloton Varosha Ride immediately from its Halloween collection and related promotional materials. Second, issue a public apology to Varosha’s displaced residents and their families. Third, review its content standards so that communities living with the consequences of war and displacement are not presented as holiday entertainment.

The organization also launched an online petition. The HALC petition encourages supporters to press the company to withdraw the Peloton Varosha Ride and formally apologize.

HALC also pointed to Peloton’s reach. The organization said the company has a global audience and a responsibility not to turn the suffering of displaced families into a seasonal gimmick.

What Comes Next for the HALC Petition

Pulling themed content is not new for Peloton. Earlier this year, the company removed both Stranger Things rides from on demand, including one led by Bradley, though those removals were scheduled in advance.

The removal of the Peloton Varosha Ride from the library covers only part of what HALC asked for. The group also wants a public apology to displaced Varosha residents and a review of Peloton’s content standards. Whether Peloton responds to those two requests, and whether completed classes count again toward members’ Halloween challenge totals, are the details to watch as the HALC petition circulates.
