Peloton Triathlon Is Back Sept 19
Matt Wilpers Leads a New 30 Minute Row, Ride, and Run With a Fresh Team to Join
The Peloton Triathlon is coming back. Peloton confirmed the second running of the event for September 19, and Power Zone instructor Matt Wilpers is already steering members toward training resources ahead of race day. The format returns largely unchanged from last year: three 30 minute classes across three disciplines, with short transitions built in between.
How the Peloton Triathlon Schedule Breaks Down
The Peloton Triathlon is structured as three back to back sessions. Members will complete a 30 minute Row, followed by a five minute transition, then a 30 minute Ride, followed by another five minute transition, and finish with a 30 minute Run. Matt Wilpers confirmed the lineup in an Instagram post, writing that the event is back on September 19 and encouraging members to mark their calendars. Peloton has not released official class times yet, so members should keep an eye on the Peloton schedule as the date gets closer.
Wilpers is one of the few Peloton instructors who teaches across all three hardware categories, which makes him a natural fit to lead a Peloton Triathlon that spans the Row, the Bike, and the Tread in a single session. Members can take all three classes live on September 19 or complete them on demand afterward to count toward the event. The demand has been there for a while. One member told TCO in a roundup of fan favorite formats that Peloton was long overdue for another one, and it looks like Wilpers heard the request.
Matt Wilpers Sets Two Simple Goals
Ahead of the Peloton Triathlon, Wilpers laid out what he wants members to take from the day in straightforward terms. Goal number one is to keep moving. Goal number two is to have some fun. It is a low pressure framing for an event that asks a lot physically, three separate 30 minute efforts in one sitting, and it fits the tone Wilpers has used throughout his 2026 training content, where consistency and enjoyment matter as much as output.
Join the New Peloton Triathlon Social Team
Alongside the class announcement, Peloton launched a Peloton Triathlon Social Team on the app. The public team already has members signed up and includes challenge tracking, so participants can join or create a challenge and see where they land on a leaderboard against teammates. Peloton is also offering a four week training plan through the Peloton Triathlon Social Team, giving members a structured lead up to the September 19 date rather than
