Peloton Tri 2026 Returns With 3 Classes, 1 Big Crowd

Peloton Tri 2026 members complete the Row, Ride and Run classes together at PSNY

Matt Wilpers led one squad through the Row, Ride and Run at PSNY, with Katie Wang commentating all three legs and a new cumulative scoring system tracking output across the day.

The Peloton Tri 2026 wrapped Saturday morning, September 19, at Peloton Studios New York, and the second annual event delivered exactly what members have been asking for: three classes, one squad, and a new way to track output across the entire day. The same core group of instructors and members moved together through the Row, the Ride and the Run, with a handful of additional participants folded into the bike and tread studios to fill out the room for each leg. The two-day Challenge window made sure that members fully felt the excitement!

One Squad Studio-Hopping Through PSNY

Watching the group move from the Row studio to the bike floor and then onto the treadmills gave Peloton Tri 2026 a different energy than a typical single-format class. Peloton Studios’ Instagram stories showed the same faces cheering each other on at every transition, wearing matching “The Peloton Tri 2026” shirts and medals as they finished each leg. Matt Wilpers led all three classes personally, as he is of the few instructors who teaches across Row, Bike and Tread. Between legs, members refueled in PSNY’s retail space before heading back out for the next 30 minute effort.

Katie Wang Commentates All Three Legs

New for this year, Katie Wang stepped in as the commentator for all three classes. She stayed with the group from the Row through the Ride and into the Run, calling out leaderboard updates and checking in with members in the studio at the halfway mark. Having one consistent voice across all three legs gave the event a cohesive feel to the morning.

A New Cumulative Scoring Format for Peloton Tri 2026

The bigger change this year was on the leaderboard itself. Rather than tracking each class separately, Peloton combined output from the Row, Ride and Run into one cumulative score, visible on a live leaderboard screen inside PSNY throughout the event. Members could watch combined KJ totals update in real time as each leg finished. Then a link was provided a few days later where members who used the hashtag could see their stats.

Peloton also extended the badge window so members could complete all three classes live or catch up on demand the following day and still have that output counted.

The badge portion of the Peloton Tri 2026 did have on notable quirk: some members reported a separate route to the badge by completing three classes from the same modality three times each.

Peloton Teams Showed Up in Force

Peloton Tri 2026 also drew a strong showing on Peloton Teams, with team leaderboards active throughout the day alongside individual rankings. The team format gave members outside PSNY a way to compete together even while taking the classes from home, adding another layer of engagement beyond the in-studio group.

Members clearly enjoyed the new format as much as Matt did, and Peloton has already confirmed the Peloton Tri will be back next year. What would you change about this year’s version, and what was your favorite part of the 2026 competition?
