Peloton Space Ride Wows With Dr. Jessica Meir
Peloton Space Ride Reveals How Astronauts Train in Orbit
Robin Arzón leads a 20-minute Cycling class with Dr. Jessica Meir joining via satellite from the International Space Station.
Peloton added what it calls a first-of-its-kind class to its on-demand library on October 22, and it comes with a view from orbit. The 20-minute Peloton Space Ride is led by Robin Arzón and features special guest Dr. Jessica Meir, who appears via satellite from the International Space Station (ISS).

The class is available on demand on the Peloton platform now. Peloton will also release a special version publicly on its YouTube channel on Friday, October 23.
What Happens During the Peloton Space Ride
The Peloton Space Ride is a Cycling class taught by Robin, with a listing date of Thursday, October 22 at 12:00 AM. Meir appears alongside her from the ISS. During the class, Meir welcomed the Peloton community directly from orbit and shared a view of Earth, giving Members a look at fitness, teamwork and perspective from space.
In the Peloton app, the class is promoted with the headline “Out of this world.” The description says Meir joins Robin straight from the ISS for a class that is in an orbit all its own.
Robin noted proudly in the ride, “We’ve had a lot of Pelo-firsts, but this is certainly a special one.”
This is not Robin’s first connection to space, however. Earlier this year she led a special ride commemorating the Artemis II voyage. She’s a big space fan for sure!

How Astronauts Stay Strong in Microgravity
Meir also gave riders a look at how astronauts maintain their health in space. She shared that astronauts complete two hours of exercise each day, including strength training, cycling and treadmill running. The routine is meant to prevent muscle loss and reduced bone density in microgravity.
The mix will look familiar to anyone who rotates between Strength, Cycling and Tread classes on the Peloton platform. The Peloton Space Ride places that variety in a setting where the goal is protecting muscle and bone, no matter where you work out!
Meir on Teamwork and Perspective From the ISS
Asked what life on the ISS has taught her, Meir spoke about borders. “All of these borders and walls that we put up as human beings… really don’t exist when you see it from up here,” she said. “It gives you a valuable perspective. Truly like in this ride, we are all in it together.”
Her key takeaway from spaceflight centered on the people involved. “You look around and there are so many complex and technical systems… but the one most important element that you realize very quickly is the human in human spaceflight,” Meir said. “It’s a testament to what we can do when we put our differences aside and work together on a common mission.” Those remarks give the Peloton Space Ride a message beyond the workout itself.
How to Take the Peloton Space Ride
The class is available on demand now. A special version will be available publicly on the Peloton YouTube channel on October 23, which will make the class accessible beyond the Peloton membership.
The Peloton Space Ride pairs a 20-minute Cycling workout with a look at how exercise protects the body in microgravity, and the October 23 YouTube release will put that conversation in front of a wider audience.
