Peloton Residency Delivers a Winning Rooftop Reset
Instructors Adrian Williams and Greta Dopp led strength, yoga, and Pilates sessions as Peloton’s first rooftop program wrapped at Santa Monica Proper

Peloton Residency made its first stop at Santa Monica Proper over the weekend, turning the hotel’s rooftop into a three day wellness takeover led by instructors Adrian Williams and Greta Dopp. Running Friday through Sunday, the program paired strength, yoga, Pilates, and stretch sessions with branded merchandise and hospitality touches, giving hotel guests and Peloton members a hands-on look at what the company is positioning as a new kind of in-person offering.
What Happened During the First Peloton Residency

Signage across the rooftop set the tone for the weekend, with one sandwich board reading “You’re right where you belong” beside the event’s name. Friday opened with Adrian Williams leading a 20 minute Bodyweight Strength class followed by a 10 minute Full Body Stretch, while Greta Dopp closed the day with a 30 minute Pilates class. Saturday brought a 30 minute Bodyweight Strength class from Williams alongside Dopp’s 30 minute Yoga Soul, a blend of sculpt, strength, and flow. Sunday wrapped the weekend with a 30 minute Yoga Flow class from Dopp, sending members into the week on a calmer note.

Saturday evening included a gathering focused on food and community, giving attendees a chance to connect off the mat midway through the weekend. Between sessions, members also mingled near a retail display stocked with branded gear, and the setup pointed to an event built as much around connection as it was around the workouts themselves.
Adrian Williams and Greta Dopp Lead the Programming
Adrian Williams, a Peloton Strength, Tread, and Row instructor, handled the bodyweight strength and stretch portions of the Peloton Residency schedule on Friday and Saturday, working through lunges and full-body movements with the group gathered around the rooftop’s wooden Peloton sign. Williams has built a following well beyond the platform, and his in-person energy at Santa Monica Proper matched the reputation.
Greta Dopp, Peloton’s first Canadian instructor, led the Pilates, Yoga Soul, and Yoga Flow portions of the weekend lineup across all three days. Dopp has been building momentum in recent press coverage, and her rooftop sessions at Santa Monica Proper carried the same warmth and accessibility that has defined her classes on the platform. One photo from the weekend shows her sitting in quiet practice ahead of a session, described in the caption as helping her “block and practice for the first ever Peloton Residency.” Dopp also shared her own visual recap of the weekend on Instagram.
Merchandise and Hospitality Rounded Out the Weekend

A retail display near the rooftop entrance stocked branded caps, tote bags, notebooks labeled “Worth remembering,” and rolled yoga mats throughout the weekend. The setup extended the Santa Monica Proper hospitality experience into merchandise, giving attendees a physical takeaway from the event beyond the workouts. The hotel itself already carries a fitness reputation of its own, with a 24-hour fitness center that includes Peloton equipment alongside Pilates reformers and free weights, making it a natural host for the residency concept.
One Class From the Weekend Now Lives On Demand
Adrian Williams’ 20 minute Bodyweight Strength class from Friday, the first session of the entire weekend, has already made its way into the Peloton On Demand library at the Intermediate level. It gives members a way to bring a piece of the opening session home, even if they weren’t on the rooftop for it. It is not yet clear whether the rest of the weekend’s classes, including Williams’ Saturday strength session or any of Dopp’s Pilates, Yoga Soul, and Yoga Flow classes, will follow the same path to the library.

The Peloton Residency name suggests this was designed as more than a one-off. If the format returns to Santa Monica Proper or expands to other properties, the Friday through Sunday mix of live programming, retail, and On Demand crossover gives Peloton another way to put its instructors directly in front of members outside the studio.
