Peloton New Product Categories Debut Fall 2027
Peloton new product categories are officially heading our way in fall 2027, a timeline CEO Peter Stern confirmed during the company’s fiscal fourth-quarter 2026 earnings call on Aug. 6. It marks the first entry in what leadership called a roadmap of entirely new categories, with additional launches expected in what executives described as “a march of progress thereafter.”
Stern declined to name the categories on the call. He was specific, though, about what separates these launches from Peloton’s typical hardware updates. Rather than adding to the existing bike, tread, or strength lineup, the products tied to the Peloton new product category roadmap are meant to open total addressable market categories Peloton does not currently compete in at all.

CEO Peter Stern discussed Peloton new product categories in the August 6, 2026 earnings call.
Although Peloton dabbled in strength offerings via the short-lived Guide, Peloton’s current hardware lineup spans Bike, Tread, and Row, so an entirely new category would represent the company’s first true expansion beyond their established fitness modalities rather than into one of them. That framing is part of why executives spent time on the roadmap despite declining to name specifics.
How the Skōp Acquisition Fits In
Executives loosely connected part of that ambition to Peloton’s acquisition of Skōp, a connected Pilates reformer company, in June 2026. CEO Peter Stern said the deal will strengthen Peloton’s Pilates research and development, building on a category the company has already invested in through an increased amount of content. Stern also pointed to member demand as part of the case for investing further in Pilates, noting that Pilates content taken by members rose 44 percent in the fourth quarter. Stern did not tie Skōp directly to the fall 2027 launch, and Peloton has not said whether Pilates hardware is among the categories included in the Peloton new product category plan.
The Peloton New Product Category Timeline and Revenue Sequencing
Executives said they expect revenue growth to arrive before subscriber growth as the Peloton new product categories begin rolling out. For fiscal 2028, they indicated the financial impact will be front-loaded on the commercial side as new products ship, with subscriber growth following through net adds after that. That sequencing echoes how Peloton has talked about its other current growth bets, where equipment revenue tends to land before membership numbers catch up. It also sets expectations for investors who may otherwise expect subscriber counts to move in lockstep with each new launch.
Part of a Broader Growth Push
The roadmap for Peloton new product categories is one of three growth initiatives Peloton flagged on the call. The Peloton Commercial line, which brings a connected bike and treadmill built for high-volume commercial gym locations, is set to launch by the end of calendar 2026. Peloton also pointed to continued expansion of its wearables integration strategy, building on partnerships already in place across its connected fitness ecosystem. Executives framed all three initiatives together as reasons they expect growth to accelerate beyond fiscal 2027, even as the company’s own fiscal 2027 guidance projects a revenue decline.
While Peloton has not detailed what the new category actually is, how it will be marketed, or how it will compete against companies already established in adjacent fitness and wellness categories it is worth watching and keeping an eye out for clues. With more than a year remaining before the fall 2027 launch, those specifics, along with how Peloton new product categories connect to acquisitions like Skōp and rising member engagement in Pilates, will determine how much weight the announcement ultimately carries.
