Speaker 3: [00:00:00] It’s more than just your output, more than a bike
Crystal: Welcome to the Clip Out Podcast, episode 481. This is Crystal O’Keefe.
Tom: And this is Tom O’Keefe.
Crystal: Hi.
Tom: Hi. So as people know, or they might know-
Crystal: Yeah …
Tom: we always have our classic TV show in rotation. We
Crystal: do.
Tom: And so, and I am nothing if not a completist. Mm-hmm. So we watched Night Court. That was nine seasons.
Tom: And then-
Crystal: And then …
Tom: we rolled into the Night Court reboot.
Crystal: Which I didn’t even know was a thing.
Tom: Yeah. I’m like, “Surprise, there’s three more seasons.”
Crystal: I was like, [00:01:00] “What? What, what?”
Tom: Which was a little wonky at first
Crystal: Yeah, but it actually, it actually got going But it- I enjoyed it … it
Tom: found its footing.
Crystal: Although- It got-
Crystal: that ending
Tom: It got canceled on a cliffhanger.
Crystal: I hate when that happens.
Tom: I know. And,
Crystal: uh- It makes me mad …
Tom: and, uh, I was really surprised how little they leaned on bringing back people from the original Night Court. Mm-hmm,
Crystal: yeah.
Tom: I mean, obviously John Larroquette comes back. Mm-hmm. He’s on every episode. He’s a main character.
Tom: But-
Crystal: I love how you say obviously.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: No one
Tom: knows this. Obviously. No, I think people know this. It was… But, and, uh, and then Roz came back a few times.
Crystal: Yeah. But- That filled my heart with joy.
Tom: Yeah. But then other than that, like- That
Crystal: was it …
Tom: you got the hillbillies, the Weirs.
Tom: Yeah. And then, like, one other guy.
Crystal: The turtle guy.
Tom: The turtle guy showed up
Crystal: out of- Tortoise Nervosa …
Tom: out of the blue, and then that was it.
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: You didn’t… You never saw Mac.
Crystal: Mm-mm.
Tom: Obviously Harry Anderson and Markie Post are no longer with us.
Crystal: And, and Bull.
Tom: And Bull. And but, uh, yeah, it was just kinda weird. So anyway, we [00:02:00] finished that, and we have now moved on to-
Crystal: Mm-hmm
Tom: The Muppet Show.
Crystal: Yes, we have.
Tom: Yes.
Crystal: Yes. It’s really cute watching how much you enjoy it.
Tom: Well, I, I am pretty adorable.
Crystal: You are pretty adorable. Well,
Tom: to you anyway, so that’s all that matters.
Crystal: That is all that matters.
Tom: So, but, uh, but yeah, so we’re, we are two episodes in.
Crystal: Yes.
Tom: And, uh, it’s actually been pretty good.
Crystal: It has. Yeah. It has. I always enjoy when we start a show. It’s, it’s about, like, three or four seasons in that I’m just like, “Okay”, ’cause we watch it, we end up watching it twice a day.
Tom: For the most part, yeah.
Crystal: And, uh, and so there are… almost all shows, even if I start off loving them- Yeah … by the end I’m, I’m ready for it to be over.
Crystal: Yeah. Just because, like, I’m, I’m just ready for something new. I, I- For sure … they’re not meant to be watched that close together for that long.
Tom: Right. Especially shows back then.
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: Even when they went into repeats, you’d watch them maybe once a day.
Crystal: Right.
Tom: But not… Although some of the bigger shows, they would show, like, an hour, they’d show two.
Tom: That’s true. Or, like, they used to [00:03:00] show, like, growing up they would show M*A*S*H, like, in the afternoon and then again at night. There were certain shows that were like that, so.
Crystal: My parents watched M*A*S*H every night at 6:00 PM.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: Every night.
Tom: In St. Louis, uh, it they showed it at, like, 4:00.
Crystal: Mm-hmm.
Tom: And then they showed it at 10:30. It ran at 10:30 for, like, 10 or 15 years.
Crystal: Well, St. Louis had five channels.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: We had three.
Tom: It was quite the controversy when they finally stopped showing M*A*S*H at 10:30.
Crystal: I bet it was.
Tom: People were up in arms.
Crystal: I bet they were.
Tom: They were… It was like, oof.
Crystal: So Peloton.
Tom: So Peloton.
Tom: That’s what we’re here to talk about.
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: Well-
Crystal: Yeah …
Tom: you are the one who talks about it. I’m the one who inserts random pop culture references.
Crystal: And you did. So- You checked that box.
Tom: Yeah. I could insert more. Locally, Larry Connors, the news guy-
Crystal: Uh-huh …
Tom: he was famous for whenever the news was over, he would say, “Coming up next, MASH.”[00:04:00]
Crystal: Oh, did he say it like
Tom: that? That’s how he would say it. And like when he, he left and took a job at another station in town, and then people were like-
Crystal: Ba, ba … “
Tom: But they don’t have MASH on that station.” It’s not the same as, “Coming up next, Love Connection.” Like it just doesn’t work. Only works for MASH.
Tom: Larry Connors-
Crystal: Yes …
Tom: he is the character of the news reporter in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas-
Crystal: Oh …
Tom: is loosely based on him.
Crystal: Really?
Tom: He was the guy who broke that story-
Crystal: Oh …
Tom: by going to-
Crystal: Oh …
Tom: said house.
Crystal: Just for research, I’m sure.
Tom: Purely for research.
Crystal: Of course.
Tom: The ’70s-
Crystal: It was a wild time …
Tom: were a very different time.
Tom: You wonder why everybody wanted to be a journalist back then. So what pray tell do you have in store for people?
Crystal: Well, we are gonna talk about Peloton. They were recently at the IFA in Berlin.
Tom: Mm-hmm.
Crystal: They also just recently posted a job [00:05:00] opening for the global instructor development director.
Tom: I have applied for that.
Crystal: No, you have not. And it’s, this is an interesting story. Like, we have to circle, like we have to spend some time on this.
Crystal: Okay. This isn’t just a job posting. There’s a story behind it.
Tom: It signals something more.
Crystal: There’s a lot.
Tom: Mayhaps.
Crystal: Uh, and then we have- A possible date for highlight, highlight- Oh … plus three.
Tom: I thought we had a date.
Crystal: Well, we always have a date.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: Okay. And then, uh, Peloton and Precor, they are sponsoring another conference, which is completely separate from the IFA conference.
Crystal: And then, uh, Peloton was also named in the 2026 UK Women’s Health Fitness Awards. Besides all of that news- Mm-hmm … we also have instructor news, when exactly Leanne Hainsby will be live in the studio.
Tom: At long last, we know.
Crystal: When Olivia is gonna be in the London studio, [00:06:00] what Ash Pryor’s up to this week, and who is celebrating five years with Peloton.
Crystal: Not to mention, we, uh, have some other c- connected fitness news. We’re gonna talk about Tonal and their spotlight this week. Interesting artist series that’s kind of happening all week, so we’re gonna, we’re gonna talk about what we have to look forward to for the week. Not to mention, tons of new content that dropped, some of which you probably haven’t heard about yet, so you’re gonna need to, you need to listen up.
Tom: I promise you I have not heard about any of it.
Crystal: Oh, I know you haven’t. Okay. But I meant for other people.
Tom: Oh, that makes more sense.
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: Okay.
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: Well, before we get to all that shameless plugs, don’t forget we’re available on Apple Podcast, Spotify, iHeart. Tune in wherever you find a podcast, you can find us.
Tom: While you are there, be sure and follow us so you never miss an episode. Maybe leave us a review. You can also find us on the Facebook, facebook.com/theclipout. While you’re there, like the page, join the group. What else? Oh, we should also mention here- We were featured in a [00:07:00] major motion picture.
Crystal: Yeah.
Crystal: Clip out.
Tom: In, uh, in the- … the new movie Fall 2.
Crystal: You can’t watch that movie without thinking about us.
Tom: You cannot. It,
Crystal: it’s impossible.
Tom: The, it’s, uh, it’s a sequel to the movie Fall.
Crystal: Mm-hmm.
Tom: Which is actually a pretty good little movie. It is. It’s about two girls that climb a decommis- commissioned, uh, broadcast tower and get stuck up there, and then it’s like- And it’s
Crystal: a whole thing
Tom: and then it’s like, “Oh, are they gonna fall?” And in this one, her sister climbs a mountain, walks on one of those little narrow, like, plank things they put on the side of mountains that you see on the YouTube sometimes. Yeah. And, uh, but they have these chains that you attach yourself to, so you, if you fall, like, you won’t fall to your death.
Crystal: Right.
Tom: And and every time they do it, they say, “Clip in.”
Crystal: Clip out.
Tom: Clip out.
Crystal: Clip out.
Tom: And they, they say clip out like 20 times-
Crystal: It’s so funny … in
Tom: the movie. It was so weird.
Crystal: It was really funny when we were watching it, because every time they did, we would like, “Clip out.”
Tom: Yeah. We’re like, “That’s us. They [00:08:00] owe us a dollar.”
Tom: So… And as we all know, Fall 2 mania is sweeping America.
Crystal: Right. I
Tom: think- Sure, sure …
Crystal: I think it
Tom: made in the tens of dollars last week Ooh I think it did like $4 million at the box office. I
Crystal: mean, it’s a good it’s a decent little movie. It’s a solid movie. It is. Yeah, it is. Yeah, especially for this time of year.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: Yeah. So- I wouldn’t go to the theater for it. Yeah Like, there’s movies I think, like, you need to go and see this in the theater.
Tom: Although a lot of it’s designed to, like, make you feel like you’re gonna fall, right? And that probably works better on a big screen than- That’s true … on your TV, but-
Crystal: That’s true
Tom: but, uh, but anyway, I just, I thought I would throw that out, that we’re, we’re in a big time movie. We’re famous. We
Crystal: are
Tom: so famous. So, uh, also don’t forget we have a Patreon, patreon.com/theclipout. Five bucks a month, you get ad-free episodes, you get early episodes, you get all sorts of bonus content.
Tom: There’s so much back content there that you can dig into. You can also try it free for seven days. Mm-hmm. This week over on the bonus, we’re gonna talk about the estrogen [00:09:00] patch shortage-
Crystal: Yes …
Tom: and how that’s impacting husbands nationwide.
Crystal: Yeah, it’s always about the men.
Tom: I’m trying to keep people interested in it.
Crystal: Right. Oh, oh. Right. Oh, wow.
Crystal: You know that 80% of our listenership is women, right?
Tom: I’m… this is what they call rage baiting.
Crystal: Yeah, it is.
Tom: It’s good for the clicks. They’re clicking to other shows right now. Which instructor took their first FTP?
Crystal: And what does it mean?
Tom: And what does it-
Tom: Foretell? And then also, which instructor is celebrating 30 years in fitness? So we will have all of that over for you, over on the Patreon for you. You can also, uh, watch us at the YouTube or sign up for our newsletter at theclipout.com. So there’s all that. Let’s dig in, shall we?
Crystal: We shall.
[00:10:00]
Tom: so we have a new story that fell in our laps late last night. So new it wasn’t in the tease at the top of the show, which is Peloton has launched an integration with Meta’s new AI product.
Crystal: Yes. Yes. Muse is the new AI product. Yeah. Uh, so Muse launched yesterday.
Tom: Okay.
Crystal: And the partnership with Peloton launched yesterday.
Crystal: So I can only assume that Meta did this thing where, that a lot of companies do these days, where it’s like, “We’re launching in a couple of months.”
Tom: Yeah, they reach
Crystal: out- “Join us.” …
Tom: to major outlets to be like, “Here’s early access, so when it does launch, we have things.” Nobody wants to push out a, a video game system with no games, right?
Crystal: Yeah. Yeah. And so, uh, they have a bunch of partnerships right out of the gate. They also have a bunch of, you know, reviews right out of the gate, ’cause they’ve had people b- reviewing it all along. Right. And of course, people using it. But yes, this is access right out of the gate. It is a partnership similar to what they did [00:11:00] with ChatGPT.
Crystal: There… I know that there is just a lot of criticism any time you say the words AI.
Tom: Right.
Crystal: The letters AI.
Tom: Right.
Crystal: But also, uh, this one in particular is getting a lot of pushback. When you go to sign up for it, apparently, I haven’t tried it, this is all thirdhand information-
Tom: Right …
Crystal: but it’s from a trusted source.
Tom: Okay.
Crystal: You have to basically sign your life away. You have to give them permission to do everything.
Tom: Right.
Crystal: That’s concerning. Meta is not known for- W- how shall I say? Respecting privacy. Mm-hmm.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: They are definitely not known for doing the right thing for people. Yeah. And so, uh, there’s a lot of pushback just because it’s Meta.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: And I… But I am curious to hear, a few people have signed up for it and tried to… I mean, I’m sure a lot of people have signed up for it, but a few people have put online what their actual thoughts [00:12:00] are.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: And, uh, the, nothing is, like, amazing about it so far. Uh, it does a really good job of looking at your past metrics.
Tom: Mm-hmm.
Crystal: And maybe in the future there will be more to kind of use it for future classes, planning, et cetera. But at the moment, there’s not a lot that stands out about it other than the fact that it’s new.
Tom: Gotcha.
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: You gotta watch those terms and conditions. I, uh, I was- Ooh … moving fast when I had to wash Mark Zuckerberg’s car.
Crystal: Oh, no.
Tom: Yeah. That-
Crystal: I’m so sorry to hear that …
Tom: I mean, it’s what happens when you just click yes ’cause you wanna get to the next screen.
Crystal: You know, uh, I had a situation at work this week where we were using AI to do some voice work for some, like, beta tests that we were doing.
Tom: Mm-hmm.
Crystal: And, uh, so anytime we use something new, we have to run it by our legal team.
Tom: Sure.
Crystal: Well, I don’t know how many people are aware that some states require that you disclose that you’ve used it that you’ve used AI to create something. So, our legal department was [00:13:00] trying to figure out, like, could we use this? And so I sent them the terms and conditions because I’m not going to read it, ba- like what you just said.
Crystal: Right. Like, it’s just stuff, right? But they were like it’s gonna take us about a week to get through this,” because they link to so many other terms and conditions- Whoa … that also need to be read. And I was like, “Mm, why don’t y’all hold off on that? I think that it’s not worth it, and we should just- Yeah
Crystal: even though it’s just for a beta, we’re gonna hire a voice actor because this is… we don’t really need to pay a lawyer to read-
Tom: Right …
Crystal: that many terms and conditions when we’re not even sure we’re gonna do it. So just, you know what? Just da.” But I just thought it was kind of fascinating how many terms and conditions were linked in the terms and conditions.
Crystal: Right.
Tom: Oh my God.
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: That’s crazy.
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: It just also feels kind of sketchy.
Crystal: It does.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: It does.
Tom: So Peloton was at IFA Berlin-
Crystal: Mm-hmm …
Tom: or as I like to call it, IFA.
Crystal: IFA.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: Well, then that would be two Fs, I think, Tom.
Tom: IFA?
Crystal: Okay, I’ll go with
Tom: IFA Okay
Crystal: All right
Tom: And, [00:14:00] uh, Peloton was, uh, spotlighting the future.
Tom: I’m assuming their own future, they’re not just predicting things
Crystal: Yeah, that is true. Yeah, that is true. Uh, it, it’s a… If you don’t know what IFA is, it is a tech event that is… It’s in Germany this year- Mm-hmm … and it connects consumer electronics, home appliances, and future tech. So what is the one, the really big one we have here?
Crystal: Consumer it’s like CSA or something like that- Yeah … that happens in January- Yeah … every year. So, Nick Caldwell, Sarah Robb O’Hagan, and Matt Wilpers were all there. They took the creator stage, and they described a platform that moves past the bike, the tread, and the row. So no, uh, word on what it is, but I will tell you, the company, when they’re talking about where it’s headed next, bike barely came up.
Tom: Interesting.
Crystal: Very interesting. Yeah Especially knowing they keep saying, “This fall there are new things.”
Tom: Yeah
Crystal: We don’t know what the new [00:15:00] things are, but this fall we’re gonna see new things.
Tom: It’s like when TV used to have new seasons.
Crystal: Yeah. Remember that?
Tom: This
Crystal: fall. I kind of miss it. I- I kind of miss that
Tom: I do too.
Tom: Like, I know that they still try to pretend like they do. It’s not the same at all I saw a promo, but I’m like, they’re like, “The fall season.” I’m like, it’s not the same ’cause there’s never not new TV anymore, so.
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: And the summer gave you a chance to catch up-
Crystal: Right …
Tom: on the other things- Right
Tom: that you didn’t watch, where you can never get caught up now, although Lord knows I try.
Crystal: Yeah, you do. And you drag me along with you.
Tom: I do. So on the heels of that event, Peloton is also looking for a global instructor development director.
Crystal: Yeah. So keep in mind… Okay here’s the history here.
Tom: Okay
Crystal: This position has been open since February of 2024.
Crystal: Now, I’m not saying they have been trying to fill that position- Right … since February of 2024. Some dumbasses that read it, that’s what their [00:16:00] assumption was, but that’s not what anyone said. It’s just that Austin Kegley left that position, and i- it’s never been filled again.
Tom: Mm-hmm.
Crystal: Now, all of a sudden, Peloton is looking to fill the role And that’s fascinating.
Crystal: That’s fascinating because Peloton was in Berlin this weekend. Also, I should say, I think that Matt Wilpers might have done an oopsie, because last week he said he was gonna be in Berlin and there was gonna be a big announcement. Mm-hmm. That announcement never happened.
Crystal: I think that he spoke out of turn.
Tom: He got out over his skis.
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: But also, we’re talking about that’s global. IFA is definitely a global positioning,
Tom: like- It is on the globe.
Tom: Grr. I mean, technically anything’s
Crystal: global. Grr. And, uh, I think it’s fascinating that as Peloton spends [00:17:00] its time in Berlin, they open up this new position.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: Well, it’s not new. They’ve reopened this position after being open for a couple of years and, uh, uh, we know that there’s new things coming. I just wonder-
Tom: It’s hard not to think these things are interconnected.
Crystal: Yeah. I think that this is telling. I think we’re gonna see new instructors in… I think we’re gonna see it in markets we haven’t previously seen them in. Or we’re going to see it in markets that we’ve already seen them in, but we’re gonna see more instructors. So maybe a combination of those two.
Tom: Interesting.
Crystal: That’s, that is my, my thought process. And keep in mind, this particular role, uh, renews, or excuse me, signals renewed investment in how Peloton casts, coaches, and develops instructor talent worldwide. That’s the whole point of this role is to make sure that all of the instructors are taught the same.
Crystal: While we haven’t had new instructors for a bit-
Tom: Right …
Crystal: that’s why it’s been open.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: That’s why [00:18:00] they didn’t need to fill the position. So the fact that they’re opening it now, it ju- it signals something here. I think it’s pretty clear. Also… Well, you know what? I’m gonna save this part for the, uh, bonus. Okay. But, but I will just say, there’s some fun little backstory here about the person who used to be in this role and how they responded w- upon seeing this role was open.
Crystal: I thought it was really interesting.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: Especially when you take a look at his Instagram and you see that Peloton has been completely scrubbed. He put a little, a little– He put some comments out there, and we will talk about that over in the bonus.
Tom: Is Highlight Plus Three in the works? I don’t know how it couldn’t be.
Crystal: Right? I mean, just like in the movies, when anything is- Yeah
Crystal: just like it, when with the movies, anytime it’s popular, you’re gonna see a new one.
Tom: Will there be a new Avengers?
Crystal: Right, right. Yeah. Yes, 20 years later. Yes, there will. Yeah. Um, [00:19:00] so Highlight Three, according to Rebecca at the Highlight, uh, celebration, ’cause they celebrated Highlight Plus- Right … and, uh, the 100 people got to go.
Crystal: Part of that celebration was Rebecca talking about the fact that there is a Highlight Three in the works, and we’re looking to see that in early 2027. Mm-hmm. So I don’t have an exact date, but we do know it’s not gonna be in the next quarter, so.
Tom: That makes sense.
Crystal: It does.
Tom: It takes a minute.
Crystal: You need to spread these things out anyway.
Crystal: Yeah. You know?
Tom: You need recovery.
Crystal: I just think it’s really funny because I’ve had so many people reach out and say things to me like, “What should I do next?” And this is where I have said for years that Peloton needs to really beef up their progression. It would be so in their best interest to create programs and then say, do this next” Yeah
Crystal: because that’s what people want. And so those of you asking me what should you do [00:20:00] next, listen, I, I don’t know. I d- I, I don’t know. Like, I do Tonal, so I’m not… I’m I love what they’re doing with Highlight- Mm-hmm … and I love seeing that people are enjoying it so much, but I don’t have a next for you.
Tom: Right.
Crystal: But I am hearing really good things about the new Katie four-day split- Mm … that it is really tough. People did day one and called it things like a monstrosity.
Tom: Yeah. Like in a good way.
Crystal: In a great way. Yeah. They couldn’t move their triceps. Right. Washing their hair was impossible. Like, it was they were…
Crystal: Uh, somebody said- So
Tom: I’d be safe …
Crystal: somebody said, “I c- I’ve never had… I’ve had a lot of muscle shake when I’m working out. I’ve never had my chest shake. That was new.” And I was like, “Whoa, that is, that’s intense.” Yeah. Hmm. That’s intense on a lot of levels.
Tom: Yeah. Who doesn’t like it when a chest shakes?
Crystal: I knew you were gonna say that.
Tom: So, uh, Peloton and Precor are teaming up at the [00:21:00] Beyond Active Conference.
Crystal: Yeah. So, uh, this was posted over on the LinkedIn. Ooh, heard of it. And, um, Dion Camp Sanders posted about it. They’re gonna be- In, this is, this takes place in Dallas in November. And, uh, Peloton says that they are going to talk about the new experiences that Peloton are developing to support commercial operators and their members at Precor and Peloton for business.
Crystal: I feel like that’s pretty fascinating.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: Because we have been saying for years Peloton needs to lean into this, and I cannot tell you how excited I am to see that Peloton is really leveraging Precor in a way that I think makes sense and is good for Precor and Peloton.
Tom: At long last.
Crystal: At long last. Yeah.
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: Uh, and then, uh, finally for this portion of the program, Peloton was named in the 2026 UK Women’s Health Fitness Awards.
Crystal: Yeah. Uh, this is a, a [00:22:00] good one. Boy, I saw this little, I saw this little circle here and I thought, “Oh my God, it’s the button we made- Yeah. … a million years ago for the Pelot- I am the Peloton prophet.
Crystal: Uh.
Tom: We still have about 200 of those left.
Crystal: We do have a lot. Um, but yeah. So the Fitness Awards for 2026, it’s for the apparel, the brands, the tech, all the equipment that, that Women’s Health Magazine in the UK loves, and Peloton was featured quite prominently with their equipment. I thought that was a really cool thing, and I love seeing that for Peloton.
Crystal: I d- I… Now I have no notification if this is a paid thing. I know a lot of… Sometimes there are- Those awards can be, yeah … those awards are, you know, you pay to be in it. But I will say this, the Tread and the Peloton Bike Plus with Peloton IQ were both listed in the, um, in the equipment. And I found it interesting because the Peloton Row was not.
Crystal: The Concept2 Row was [00:23:00] listed.
Tom: Hmm.
Crystal: So make of that what you will, but, uh, I just thought the whole thing was kind of fascinating.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: So.
Tom: It’s nice to see them getting attention over there. They need it more over there than over here, right? So.
Crystal: They do. They absolutely do.
Tom: And coming up after this, we’ve got instructors in the news. We’re gonna talk about the return of Leanne. We’re gonna talk about who’s gonna be popping into PSL this month, and Ash Pryor and her new partnership. So stick around.
Tom: leanne Hainsby Aldis is officially back at Peloton.
Crystal: She is. Uh, she posted a reel this week showing that she was in the studio- Yeah … which was really nice to see. Um, her first live class back is going to be Sunday, September 13th, 9:30 AM Eastern, 2:30 PM British Standard Time. It’s gonna be a 30-minute pop ride with Leanne.
Crystal: I know people are so, so excited about this. I mean, it’s, it’s been a long [00:24:00] time. It’s been a long time. Yeah. So this is exciting. We also just wanna point out that we had seen that she was gonna be on the schedule the 14th and the 15th, and it was listed on the schedule. It has been removed from the schedule.
Crystal: And, uh, it never came back. Yeah. So make of that what you will. I d- I don’t know. I can’t explain. Yeah. I can’t explain anything. I don’t know why they do what they do, so
Tom: I don’t think they do either sometimes.
Crystal: Sometimes. Yeah. Sometimes.
Tom: Uh, speaking of PSL- Mm-hmm … Olivia Amato will be there in September.
Crystal: Yeah, she will. She’s gonna be there, um, September, I think it was 11th through 13th that she’s gonna be there. And, uh, if you have not gotten a chance to meet Olivia, you live over in the UK, this is your moment. It is your
Tom: moment. This is your moment.
Crystal: Mm-hmm.
Tom: It’s your time to shine.
Crystal: It is.
Tom: Yeah. Ash Pryor ha- makes her debut as a NAMI-
Crystal: Mm-hmm
Tom: ambassador.
Crystal: Yeah. NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, [00:25:00] and she, Ash, is marking Suicide Prevention Month as her debut of a NAMI ambassador. This is really cool because, uh, she is able to direct followers to mental health resources, and a lot of people need it.
Crystal: And, uh, I feel like with all the things that are happening in the world, there is so much heaviness and sadness and stress and, uh, just a lot to wade through. There’s just a lot- For sure … on top of the things that people have never been able to conquer, you know? Yeah. Like, uh, you know, homelessness and things like that.
Crystal: Right. So, so, like, it is a really tough time, but the figures are showing more than one in five US adults experience mental illness each year, and one in seven US youths ages six to 17 experience a mental health disorder each year. And suicide remains second leading cause of death among people [00:26:00] ages 10 to 24.
Crystal: Yikes. So, Ash’s message is you are never alone, and I hope people really take that to heart. I will also say, this is, uh, one of our amazing helper bees, Lisa Warner- Mm-hmm … is running for she’s running the Great World Race. So that’s the one that’s seven races- Seven- … seven continents … seven continents in seven days.
Crystal: Yeah. Yes. So seven marathons, seven continents, seven days. Sh- Bex Gentry did it a couple of years ago, and she actually inspired Lisa. Well, Lisa is racing in support of national suicide awareness.
Tom: Okay.
Crystal: And, uh, you can join, uh, you can easily support the effort by joining Lisa and, uh, there is a registration link that I have posted on my bio on Instagram.
Crystal: She has it posted on hers of course, but she’s looking to get 777 people registered for the awareness of suicide prevention and for people to run any amount of [00:27:00] miles while she’s out there running those seven days. Um, and that will put money in the pocket of people, uh, of this group. Gotcha. So I think that it’s a wonderful celebration of people trying to come together and help other people.
Crystal: I think that is a good thing, and we need as much of that in the world as we can. So I, uh, just wanted to point that out while we’re talking about Ash’s partnership.
Tom: Absolutely. Marcell Dinkins is celebrating five years with Peloton.
Crystal: Yeah. I, uh, I can’t believe it has been five years. They of course have a greatest collection- Mm-hmm
Crystal: greatest hits collection. Um, there are now over 50 classes that are in the collection and, uh, it’s crazy to think that is since she joined in 2021. Again, I say it is just amazing that these people joined after the pandemic. Yeah. Like my brain just-
Tom: Right …
Crystal: my brain just freezes when I think about that.
Crystal: You know?
Tom: It is such a, a, a delineating [00:28:00] moment in time of like, was this pre-pandemic or post-pandemic? In the same way that you, a lot of people use 9/11. Mm-hmm. Was it a pre-9/11 or post-9/11? Yeah.
Crystal: Yeah. And I can’t believe that’s been 25 years. I know. I just, I still remember that day so vividly. Yeah. I’m sure most people do.
Crystal: Yeah, and
Tom: we’re in the Midwest- Right … so I can’t even imagine.
Crystal: No. People- Yeah. Ugh.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: Yeah. Absolutely.
Tom: tonal was getting some love from Fortune Magazine.
Crystal: They were, yeah. So they highlighted Tonal and, uh, they were doing a whole feature about what Tonal is, how they are using AI, how they are reaching out to their customers, and just highlighting what an amazing piece of equipment-
Tom: Mm-hmm …
Crystal: that it is.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: Uh, it was part of a feature about AI.
Tom: Right.
Crystal: But Tonal got a huge spotlight in this feature, and it was a really cool thing for Tonal, so.
Tom: Yeah, they’ve been making lots of tweaks to that lately with just having AI assistants in terms of, like, I [00:29:00] guess coaching moves and-
Crystal: Mm-hmm …
Tom: helping you select programs and things like that.
Crystal: Yeah. Like, it doesn’t, it doesn’t really change how the equipment works. Nothing’s really different with that. But how you inter- interact with it to look up things or figure things out, uh, they actually added this, uh, feature called Tia and that’s their AI assistant. I love it, though, because you can do things like show me all of the programs that do X, Y, Z.
Crystal: For example, in my mind, it’s lift heavy with shorter with less reps because that’s what I should be doing- Right … as a, a woman in perimenopause. And they give you all of the different programs. And then they even give you a sug- if you ask, they will give you a suggested order in which to take them.
Crystal: So, uh, I, I think that is where AI can be extremely helpful.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: You know, and not detrimental to society.
Tom: I would say especially when it’s being organized by a company [00:30:00] that knows what inputs to include.
Crystal: Yeah, they’re being so intentional, Tonal in general-
Tom: Right
Crystal: is so intentional about making sure that people have the education behind what they’re doing. They have so many great people on their, their health board that really know their stuff. Like s- exercise scientists b- the breaking, cutting edge of people who are at the, the forefront of this technology right now, exercise technology specifically.
Crystal: Right. And, um, I just think that it’s, it’s really cool.
Tom: Yeah, I feel like you can trust AI from somebody like Tonal or Peloton in a way that I wouldn’t just ask ChatGPT randomly for, for workout
Crystal: advice. It really bothers me when people do that. I see it all the time. People are like, “Well, I just asked ChatGPT to give me a workout.”
Crystal: And it’s like, well, but it’s not, it’s not at all what you necessarily need. Yeah. Like, it didn’t, it didn’t ask you any of the questions. It didn’t do any follow-ups. It doesn’t know where you struggle or where your muscle [00:31:00] weaknesses are or your imbalances, or even ask you about them. It just gives you a work- I mean, anybody can do that.
Crystal: Right. You, you might as well have a dartboard up. Yeah. Like, it it’s frustrating.
Tom: Might as well use Ask Jeeves.
Crystal: Right? Really? Really.
Tom: there is a Wolfgang Petry artist series kicking off Schlager Week.
Crystal: Yes. So Schlager Week is going to be a party all week from the German instructors, okay?
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: Every day there is a theme, and, this first artist series is Wolfgang Petry, as you said. He is kicking off the entire week. I need to tell you that you can get a badge just for Schlager Week.
Tom: Mm-hmm.
Crystal: Any of- you take any of the classes, and it’s an amazing badge. It’s like a disco ball, but it’s- Ah
Crystal: rainbow and- … glitter. It’s beautiful. But all week long there are gonna be different artists that are gonna be part of this and, uh, Vanessa Mai is actually going to be live and in the studio and [00:32:00] taking classes.
Crystal: That’s one of the artist series. So it’s gonna be a whole week-long event, so get your schlager on.
Tom: Coming up after this, we’ve got content, all sorts of stuff to talk about. Jess Sims has a new program, a new partnership between Peloton and Spotify, and who has a special tribute to Tim Curry. So stick around
Tom: We should kick off this segment by just letting people know you have not lost your mind. There is no TCO Top 5 this week. Mm-hmm. It is taking a week off because it was celebrating Labor Day.
Crystal: That’s right.
Tom: So-
Crystal: That’s right …
Tom: it will return next week.
Crystal: I was celebrating Labor Day- Yes … and I didn’t feel like doing the work on Monday. I was taking a day off.
Tom: So, be careful stacking things for the next week, ’cause we haven’t told you-
Crystal: That’s true …
Tom: what is unstackable.
Crystal: That’s true.
Tom: So-
Tom: So you are in grave danger right now.
Crystal: Grave. Grave.
Tom: So-
Crystal: Be careful …
Tom: be careful. We’re thinking about you. Thoughts and prayers. Until then, Jess [00:33:00] Sims-
Crystal: Mm-hmm …
Tom: has a new program, Do Hard Things. Come on, Jess Sims.
Tom: You know I’m gonna be reading these.
Crystal: Oh, geez.
Tom: Whoa. Come on.
Crystal: I didn’t even think about it that way. Oh my God.
Tom: I’m a little disappointed.
Crystal: I am a little disappointed.
Tom: So tell me about doing hard things.
Crystal: Okay. Well, this program is set to launch on September 21st, and, uh, we don’t know too much about it, but we do know that, uh, Jess Sims is not known for going easy on people.
Crystal: She has, uh, you know, her 60-minute, her Sims 60, which is known for being brutal. Yeah. It’s, it’s made the, Unstackable many, many times. Many,
Tom: many times.
Crystal: And, uh, we are not sure yet if this is going to be boot camps, if this is gonna be pure strength. What do we have? Right. We don’t know. We don’t know yet, but we are going to be able to check it out on September 21st.
Crystal: I’m guessing they will probably put some, uh, details out just [00:34:00] before. But everything is hard. Choose your hard. Then choose it again and again.
Tom: Wouldn’t it be funny if people went to take this class- Mm-hmm … and it was just her teaching trigonometry?
Crystal: I feel like people would be a little disappointed.
Tom: Like, well, it’s hard-
Crystal: It’s true. That is true …
Tom: for many of us.
Crystal: Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I’m sure- I’m
Tom: sure there’s some people out there listening that are like, “Trigonometry’s not hard, you dipshit.”
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: Well, cheers.
Tom: And they’re like-
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: Of course, Mr.
Tom: Muppet over there- … doesn’t know how to use trigonometry. That tracks.
Crystal: Everybody has their talents.
Tom: Yes.
Crystal: Math is not one of ours.
Tom: Yeah. It is certainly not one of mine, so, moving right along. Peloton and Spotify teamed up for a Songs of Summer collection.
Crystal: Yeah, they put together a collection of all the hits of summer.
Crystal: Mm-hmm. And, uh, you’re able to check it out over on the, uh…
Tom: Spotify …
Crystal: [00:35:00] the Spotify.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: And, uh, there’s going to be also classes that you can take that have they’re from Matt, Camila, John, and Ally, and they are going to be all dropping on demand, so you’re able to take those classes. So it’s a nice little partnership continuing the growth with Spotify.
Tom: So I have a follow-up question, which I’m scared to ask, ’cause you might not know the answer, then you’ll be mad that I asked it. That’s true. Do we know, is this, like, historically songs of, that have been popular in the summer? Or is it songs of this summer? This
Crystal: summer.
Tom: Okay.
Crystal: I actually don’t know. I just assume.
Tom: Okay. That makes sense.
Crystal: Yeah. ‘
Tom: Cause they’re probably not going back to the ’50s.
Crystal: No.
Tom: They’re probably not, like, here-
Crystal: The licensing is just too… Like, w- if we can’t get the licensing- … straight on modern songs, like, we’re not gonna go back 50, 60, 70 years.
Tom: A lot of times those are cheaper, ’cause people don’t
Crystal: I know, but there’s a…
Crystal: You know,
Tom: eh. Yeah.
Crystal: Mm.
Tom: For sure. And, uh, we’re not gonna talk about it here, but I just thought I would tease for the Patreon that over, [00:36:00] uh, on the Reddit- They’re all up in their feels about the French Riviera collection.
Crystal: Boy, are they.
Tom: They’ve got some thoughts.
Crystal: They’ve got some very, very mad thoughts.
Tom: There’s lots of pearl-clutching and, uh, and we’re gonna, we’re gonna make fun of them.
Crystal: Yeah. So- Plus, we’ll tell you about that badge too.
Tom: Okay. That’ll be over in the Patreon. So, uh, Mariana Fernandez paid tribute to Tim Curry.
Crystal: Yeah. First of all, all these amazing people passing away all in one month, like, woof- I, I-
Crystal: it’s been a lot …
Tom: I feel like what we’re seeing is the culmination of our society creating more celebrities than ever.
Crystal: Maybe.
Tom: Right? And so it feels like-
Crystal: I don’t know. Dolly Parton, Tim Curry they’re, they’re pretty, like- I’m
Tom: not saying that… I don’t mean that in a bad way, I’m just saying there are a lot more ways to be famous.
Crystal: I just, I’m just saying- Yeah … they were famous in the traditional sense. Yeah. Both of them. Yeah. And, and so, it’s been a lot. Yeah. Like, it’s [00:37:00] been emotional.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: I just, like, why can’t evil people- … kick the bucket? That would be… I just, I just wish there were like I talk about the fairness police.
Crystal: Yeah. This is where the fairness police would be real handy.
Tom: That would
Crystal: be. Because I just think that once you have done enough evil in the world, your time is up- Yeah … and you’re out.
Tom: Yeah. So I just remember- … growing up, if some- if a famous person died- Yeah … like a non-newsy politician type person.
Crystal: Okay.
Tom: There were basically three levels You get mentioned at the top of the news-
Crystal: Mm-hmm …
Tom: an Elvis Presley, a John Lennon.
Crystal: Sure.
Tom: Right? Or you get mentioned in the last two minutes.
Crystal: Okay. “
Tom: Oh, by the way, Doug Henning passed away.”
Crystal: Okay.
Tom: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right? And that was it. I remember
Crystal: those days.
Tom: And then there were the people that just didn’t rate at all.
Crystal: Mm-hmm.
Tom: Right? And so, and s- and so, like, I feel like Dolly Parton would’ve been a top of the news.
Crystal: Hell yeah.
Tom: And I feel like Tim Curry would’ve been a closing segment.
Crystal: What?
Tom: I don’t think he would’ve been a [00:38:00] top of the news. I-
Crystal: What?
Tom: Yeah. I-
Crystal: He’s an icon.
Tom: I mean, to s- to some pe- I- not in the same way Dolly Parton is.
Crystal: Not in the same way, no. I agree. But-
Tom: And, and I’m not trying to shit on Tim Curry- I know you’re not. I- I’m just I’m just saying that, like, and I… But I think because of the internet, because we have so many more celebrities and more people in the past, someone like Tim Curry passing away- Mm-hmm … it would’ve been, like, a smaller segment on the news.
Tom: It would’ve mattered to a lot of people, but there wouldn’t have been a way for them to rally around that maybe more niche celebrity- No,
Crystal: that’s, that’s true …
Tom: like there is now. And so you, you see stuff like this, which is good.
Crystal: I just, I think I see him, I guess because I grew up, like, Rocky Horror Picture I know that he didn’t even like that by the time his career-
Crystal: was towards the end. Yeah. He hated that he ever did it. He, like, regretted it. But he was such a huge part of my, like, high school years. Mm-hmm. [00:39:00] I mean, I was so sheltered, and I will never forget whenever I was, like, 17.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: I’d just moved out of my parents’ house and I went… There was a local place God, what was that theater called?
Tom: The Tivoli.
Crystal: No.
Tom: Oh.
Crystal: It was a little theater in in the North St. Louis. It was, like, a little one, and it, it closed not that long ago. Like, it’s been around forever. But it was a little, tiny theater, and they played Rocky Horror. And my best friend at the time took me with all of her friends, and wow. I had no idea this world existed.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: What? What?
Tom: It’s funny the kids today-
Crystal: I know …
Tom: like to kind of look back at Rocky Horror and be like, “Ooh, it’s problematic.” And, like, by t- with today’s lens- Oh,
Crystal: sure …
Tom: sure. But-
Crystal: Sure …
Tom: you gotta remember, at the time,
Crystal: there was- That was groundbreaking …
Tom: there was nothing like it.
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: And the community that you want to be offended by it-
Crystal: Embraced it Like, embraced
Tom: it And felt
Crystal: seen ‘
Tom: cause, right.
Tom: And it allowed them to have a [00:40:00] focal point where they could gather.
Crystal: Yeah
Tom: And, and even people who maybe w- weren’t part of that community, but weren’t hateful towards that community could also gather, or maybe even accidentally be exposed to the idea- Yeah … that this community existed, right?
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: And so, like, that it’s important to view things with a historical context.
Crystal: It is. Yeah. It is. And I mean, I know Tim Curry did a lot more than that.
Tom: For sure.
Crystal: He had a huge career.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: But that is, to me, that was a major flashpoint in my growing up years of just- Yeah … it’s like one of the first times that I saw how, how sheltered I had been- Yeah
Crystal: my entire life. Like, literally I had no idea things like this existed- Yeah … in the world. So, I love Tim Curry for that, and I love, I love a lot of things he did. I just, he was a very funny person.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: And I, I think it’s really cool that Marianna did this, but it was a, a tribute and, uh, she did a class all around his Broadway and film career.
Crystal: Yeah. So there were songs from all kinds of things that he did [00:41:00] in her class.
Tom: Yeah. She included, uh, something obviously from Rocky Horror. Of course. From Spamalot because he originated the role of- Arthur, I think. One of them, you know.
Crystal: One of them.
Tom: But and then something from Annie, ’cause he was in the movie Annie.
Tom: Yeah, yeah. So, uh, and I think sh- did she maybe even use a song from the Broadway production of Clue?
Crystal: She might have. Yeah. Because she definitely included stuff from Broadway, so- Yeah … that may be… And I’ve never seen Clue, the Broadway production-
Tom: Right …
Crystal: of Clue.
Tom: The mus- yeah. It’s, I- Yeah,
Crystal: the musical version.
Tom: I think it’s a musical. Right. Now I’m second-guessing myself.
Crystal: She had, uh, she had If the Worlds Were Like Movies, Manhattan, and Exits, they all came from My Favorite Year, the 1992 musical that he got a Tony for.
Tom: Oh.
Crystal: Uh, and then Easy Street nodded to his film work as Rooster Hannigan. That was the-
Tom: That’s Annie
Crystal: Annie. And then Always Look on the Bright Side of Life referenced Spamalot- Mm-hmm … which you just mentioned. And then a cover of Sweet Transvestite closed out the theatrical arc. Um, and of [00:42:00] course that was, that was from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. And she also worked in A New Argentina, which was from the 2006 London cast recording of Evita which rounded out the set with additional Broadway material.
Crystal: I did not realize that there was even a 2006 version of Evita. Man, I loved that movie when it came out.
Tom: Did you?
Crystal: I had the whole soundtrack. I was obsessed. I had the, I… it was because it was Madonna.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: So I was obsessed.
Tom: I’ve never seen the movie. I’ve seen the play-
Crystal: What? …
Tom: multiple times, but I’ve never seen the film.
Crystal: It’s actually pretty good.
Tom: Oh, okay.
Crystal: Yeah. Must’ve been during that timeframe you weren’t watching movies.
Tom: I’m just-
Crystal: You’re not into it.
Tom: I’m just not a Madonna guy. And honestly, I’ve seen Evita a few times and I’m like, “I get it.”
Crystal: Yeah. Like, I- I could see that. I had nev- Yeah … again, again, this was my awakening to the world.
Crystal: Yeah. This was 1997 or something like that. Yeah. And, uh, I had… I was like, “What? Other countries struggle?” Dude, yeah.
Tom: Ah, youth.
Crystal: Ah, youth indeed.
Tom: Yeah. So, uh, Katie Wong has a four-day split.
Crystal: Yeah. This is the one I was talking [00:43:00] about earlier that people are calling a monstrosity- Oh … in a good way.
Tom: Right. Like
Crystal: it’s- Yes.
Crystal: Like, it was so tough. Yeah. It was so tough. It will probably be listed as an unstackable as well. But yeah, so, uh, there’s four days of full body strength. And, uh, so each day focuses on a muscle group, and so without, through the week- Mm-hmm … you end up getting a full body workout. And, uh, they, they recommend that you repeat it for four to six weeks to be able to see results and to see change, like, um, heavier weights.
Crystal: Progress. Progress, yes. Yeah. And, uh, so people are loving it so far. Very excited about it.
Tom: I will say if you’ve done it once and y- they want you to repeat it for, like, four to six weeks, I will say from Tonal, sometimes when I do those really aggressive ones- Mm-hmm … like, uh, what are, like- Muscle Mountain or- Yeah.
Tom: whatever. Extreme Volume or something.
Crystal: Extreme Accumulation. Yeah.
Tom: That it’s like that first week is so hard.
Crystal: So hard.
Tom: And you’ll be surprised-
Crystal: Your body just adapts so
Tom: quickly … how much [00:44:00] easier week two gets. Like, you do week one and you’re like, “There’s no way I can do this,” and then you do week two and you’re like, “Oh, this…
Tom: Okay, I’m okay.”
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: Yeah. Like, it’s… Like, not that it’s not hard, but it’s not like that first week. It’s just- That
Crystal: first week just kicks your butt- It’s- … ’cause your body is learning and you’re- Yeah … and figuring things out, and then the second week your body’s already learned.
Tom: And- It… Yeah, it’s just fascinating how quickly your body can learn it.
Tom: So, like, if you did it once and you’re like, “That’s enough,” maybe try it again. It won’t be as difficult.
Crystal: Listen to you learning things.
Tom: You know what I mean? I’m basically a personal trainer.
Crystal: Yeah.
Tom: Except with no learning of any kind. Just keep that in mind. Andy Spears’ TS60 changes have been confirmed.
Tom: We talked about this a little last week- Yeah … but now it’s, it’s all official.
Crystal: It- he, Peloton put it out, so yeah. Yeah. But, uh, yeah, it’s 30 minutes. Calm down, people. It’s for September.
Tom: Just take it twice. Now it’s a 60 again.
Crystal: Yeah. Don’t get me started on that.
Tom: Okay.
Crystal: Yeah, people, pe- nope.
Crystal: And I just wanna say, yes, I know it still shows 60 minutes on the schedule. I don’t know why they [00:45:00] do what they do, man. Yeah. I don’t know.
Tom: Yeah. It… That’s all confusing.
Crystal: It is confusing.
Tom: Yeah. Uh, Club Peloton gets a strength class.
Crystal: Yeah. I believe this took place on the 7th. Yeah, the 7th. And, uh, it was a 20-minute chest and back strength that Ben Aldis taught.
Crystal: Uh, and that was anybody champions and above could join this class live.
Tom: Okay.
Crystal: Now it’s on demand, so anybody can take it. Right. So if you haven’t checked it out, might be a good time.
Tom: We have new Fit Family classes.
Crystal: We do. They drop this week, and, uh, one of them includes a Disney crossover. There’s a class… There’s a screenshot showing the classes tab that has tiles like- titles like Disney Fit Family Fun, and there’s also some that show Family Sleep Meditation along a, alongside a warmup ride and a warmup run.
Tom: We also have new Latinx Hispanic Heritage Month classes and Oktoberfest classes.
Crystal: Yeah, they’re rolling out through late [00:46:00] September. There’s just, like, a lot of new things coming out. There’s also gonna be Katie’s Taco Cat class.
Tom: Okay.
Crystal: Uh, that’s the one that’s a, a pyramid.
Tom: Gotcha.
Crystal: And Taco Cat is
Tom: the- You do it, like, forward and backwards …
Crystal: because T-A-C-O- Right … and then C-A-T is the opposite, so Taco Cat.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: Uh, and then Rad’s 60-minute strength class. There’s going to be an Oktoberfest run pl- or walk plus run. Uh, there’s also gonna be a ride.
Crystal: There’s gonna be a strength. And, uh, there’s going to be other… The October cla- Oktoberfest, there was three of those, and The Latin Heritage History Month, there are tons of classes for this. Like, there, there are so many that I’m not gonna list them all but they are going to be dropping.
Crystal: They’re gonna be live and on-demand classes through the month, so make sure that you check those out.
Tom: And I will say this about the taco cat class. If you think that’s difficult-
Crystal: Mm-hmm …
Tom: you should see her A Man, A Plan, A Canal: Panama class. That’s even harder.
Crystal: What?
Crystal: A [00:47:00] mana plan?
Tom: A mana plan, a canal, Panama.
Crystal: Where’d you get that?
Tom: That’s, if- it reads the same way forward and backwards- I know,
Crystal: but where did you get it?
Tom: It’s just a famous-
Crystal: I’ve never heard that one.
Tom: Yeah.
Crystal: Huh.
Tom: So.
Crystal: Learn something new every day.
Tom: You do with me.
Crystal: I know.
Tom: And it’s almost always useless. And then finally, where have the metal rides gone?
Crystal: I don’t know. According to one of our tipsters, they disappeared. Now, they could be back. I have not verified this independently, but-
Tom: Right …
Crystal: at least for a short time, they were all gone.
Tom: The rock rides were there.
Crystal: Rock rides stayed, metal rides gone.
Tom: Metal rides, not so much.
Crystal: What does it mean? They hate the metal.
Crystal: Why are they gone? Are they gone forever? Was it just a short time? We don’t know. I don’t know. We have more questions than answers.
Tom: Peloton doesn’t like that devil music.
Crystal: Stop.
Tom: They’re trying to protect you.
Crystal: Stop.
Tom: So, uh, that’s-
Crystal: Somebody out there will actually believe you.
Tom: Good. So that’s it. There are no birthdays this week.
Crystal: Oh, wow.
Tom: So, uh, we have reached the end of the show. Until next week, [00:48:00] where can people find you?
