Peloton Member Stories Wanted for US Open Push
Peloton Member Stories Spotlighted – Will Yours Be Next?
A new callout ties member stories to the tennis season, echoing past campaigns that turned real submissions into real-world moments.
Peloton is asking members to share their own athletic moments as part of its US Open partnership, and the callout is worth watching given what the brand has done with member stories in the past. A new campaign graphic featuring the US Open and Peloton logos poses a direct question: how has Peloton helped you feel and train like an athlete? Members are invited to submit their story for a chance to be featured, with the tennis court graphic and “Tell Us Your Story” button pointing to a submission form built around the tagline “Share your best game.” Submit yours here.
This request for Peloton member stories lands squarely inside the broader Peloton US Open partnership, which named Peloton the Official Interactive Fitness Partner of the tournament and centers on the “Your Best Game Starts Here” campaign. Matt Wilpers has already been the face of that rollout, leading a free outdoor Tennis Conditioning class at Hudson Yards and headlining a Train for Tennis program built with coach Paul Annacone. Collecting Peloton member stories now gives the partnership a second track, one that puts everyday members, not just instructors, at the center of the moment.
How Peloton Is Collecting Member Stories
The submission page keeps the ask simple. Members share how Peloton has powered their athletic performance on and off the court, with the option to submit written responses along with photos or video. It mirrors the format Peloton has used for prior Peloton member stories pushes, where a short prompt and an open-ended question generate a wide range of submissions Peloton can later draw from for social posts, email features, or larger activations.
Given the pattern Peloton has followed with past campaigns, it is worth wondering whether this round of Peloton member stories could feed something bigger than a few social posts. Earlier this year, Peloton took a similar approach ahead of the Boston Marathon, inviting runners to submit their Leaderboard names, then built an activation that displayed those names on the John Hancock building a block from the finish line.
If Peloton wanted to do something comparable for the US Open, tying member stories to a visible moment at Hudson Yards, the watch party, or the US Open Experience would fit the pattern. Nothing has been confirmed, and Peloton has not announced any physical activation tied to this specific callout. But given how many members travel to New York for the US Open, how fun would that be if they did!
What Past Peloton Member Stories Became
This is not the first time Peloton has gone looking for Peloton member stories. We covered an earlier push where Peloton emailed select members a link titled “Share Your Peloton Story,” collected during what appeared to be a broader member engagement effort. Those stories, along with others sourced through Instagram callouts, have shown up in Peloton’s YouTube “Meet Our Members” series, a collection of video features that put member journeys and Leaderboard names into context. Peloton has also run its Peloton Diaries series on its own blog, where members write about a full week of workouts for a chance to be featured.
Whether this US Open callout results in another Hancock-building-style moment (but in NYC) or stays contained to social features and blog posts, the pattern is consistent. Peloton keeps returning to Peloton member stories as a way to put its community front and center during marquee sports moments, and the tennis season now has its own version of that ask.
