Peloton Instructors Race Weekend Ends With 4 Strong Finishes
Kirsten Ferguson ran a PR in Chicago, Susie Chan and Jeffrey McEachern raced Oxford, and Selena Samuela returned to half marathon racing on Staten Island

The Peloton instructors race weekend produced four finishes and a personal record on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Kirsten Ferguson completed the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, Susie Chan and Jeffrey McEachern ran the Oxford Half in England, and Selena Samuela raced the Staten Island Half in New York.
Four instructors lined up for three races in two countries on the same day. Each shared the highs, detours, and lessons on Instagram, and this Peloton race recap brings their posts together. Here is how the Peloton instructors race weekend unfolded, starting in Chicago.
Kirsten Ferguson Runs a Chicago Marathon PR

Kirsten Ferguson, a Peloton Tread instructor, ran the 48th Bank of America Chicago Marathon, a race she confirmed earlier this year as her second marathon. Her first came at the TCS New York City Marathon in November 2024.
Her race day recap focused on what she learned on the course. “You can’t control the conditions, but you can control your response,” she wrote over a mid-race video filmed under sunny skies. Another slide added, “Adjusting your goal isn’t quitting.”

Adjusting her goal still produced a personal record. “A PR is a PR! (Even if it’s small),” she wrote over a photo of herself with her medal against the Chicago skyline. She raced in a custom navy crop top with her name in rhinestone letters and the red six-pointed stars of the Chicago flag.

She also had support along the course. A cheer crew lined the fence with oversized cutouts of her face and signs reading “go Kirsten go! You got this!” and “26.2 miles for a mimosa.” Her caption on that slide read, “I don’t have to do hard things by myself.”
Chicago builds on a strong year of running for Kirsten, who also set a PR at the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half in March. Her finish gave the Peloton instructors race weekend its only full 26.2 miles.
Susie Chan and Jeffrey McEachern Race to the Oxford Half Start Line
Across the Atlantic, Susie Chan and Jeffrey McEachern’s race day started with an unplanned warmup. The pair had to run to find the start line of the 2026 Oxford Half. Susie captured the search in a video captioned “When you’re in charge of getting to the start line.” She also said the two always end up running more than planned, so this wasn’t a new experience for them.

Once on course, they ran 13.1 miles through the historic university city. Race photos show them side by side, Jeffrey in a red Peloton tee and Susie in a white Peloton visor. In her post-race caption, Susie thanked the Oxford Half and said the crowds were immense. She called the Peloton cheer zone a highlight, which gave Peloton a presence along the Oxford leg of the Peloton instructors race weekend.

At the finish, they posed together with medals featuring the domed Radcliffe Camera. Susie also photographed her medal in front of the building itself. The Oxford Half accounted for two of the four finishes in the Peloton instructors race weekend, along with the extra miles they ran to find the start.
Selena Samuela Returns to Half Marathon Racing on Staten Island
Back in New York, Selena Samuela ran the Staten Island Half, organized by New York Road Runners. She called it her first half marathon race in years, run nearly 10 months postpartum after having her twins. Her post-race selfies show rain-soaked roads and water beading on her sunglasses.

The number she highlighted was pace. Selena wrote that the pace she held for 13.1 miles matched the pace she was running for a 5K just last month. She credited consistent training, better fueling, looking at her data, and going for it when it mattered, all while balancing a full schedule and parenting.

Selena described the race as fuel for the road to her first 70.3, the next step in the triathlon goal she set for 2026. She added that the process is already making her a better coach and that she plans to bring what she learns into her classes. She thanked NYRR and New Balance Running for the race. Her finish rounded out the Peloton instructors race weekend with a third city.
The Peloton Instructors Race Weekend by the Numbers
For this Peloton race recap, the numbers are simple: four instructors, three races, two countries, and one Sunday. Combined, they covered 65.5 race miles. Kirsten ran 26.2 in Chicago, and Susie, Jeffrey, and Selena each ran 13.1. Susie and Jeffrey also ran extra miles to reach the start line. The Peloton instructors race weekend also included one PR, from Kirsten, and one return to racing, from Selena.
The themes from the Peloton instructors race weekend connect directly to how members train. Kirsten adjusted her goal, Selena focused on fueling and data, and both talked about balancing training with everything else. That balance of runs, strength work, mobility, and recovery is available across Peloton’s Tread, Strength, Stretching, Yoga, and Outdoor classes.
Selena’s next goal is her first 70.3. Until then, this Peloton race recap leaves members with four new finish lines from the Peloton instructors race weekend and lessons they can take into their own training, from adjusting a goal mid-race to fueling better on race day.
