Peloton Instructor Summit Sparks Hybrid Class Questions

Peloton Instructor Summit: Standout Moments at PSNY in Fall 2026

A guest speaker with three Olympic golds, new Peloton Apparel and a deleted reel that raised hybrid class questions.

The Peloton Instructor Summit returned to PSNY last week with an Olympic gold medalist as guest speaker, a run of outfit changes and a short-lived reel that hinted at a class combining Bikes and Treads. Peloton does not publish an agenda for these gatherings, so this recap draws on what instructors shared on Instagram.

Who Shared Moments From the Peloton Instructor Summit

Instructors filled their Stories with behind the scenes updates. It was really a game of who is reposting who! We particularly enjoyed Johanna Ricouz’ post, above, in which acknowledged the incredible excitement of her first Peloton Instructor Summit with the realness of the 48 hour sprint that she brings to her platform.

It was lots of fun to see everyone’s pictures, including many that included the incredible Behind the Scenes team members, from the PAs we know from visiting the studio to the more corporate side team members. We are so appreciative of what everyone brings to make our classes come to life!

Emma Lovewell’s post event hilarity summed up the event in two parts!

Outfit Changes and New Peloton Apparel

The PSNY instructors clearly enjoyed hamming it up for the cameras. Posts from the Peloton Instructor Summit show a number of outfit changes, and several of the looks included new Peloton Apparel.

Peloton Instructor Summit PSNY 2026 - Jess Sims with Kara Lawson

Guest Speaker Kara Lawson Brings Olympic Gold to the Stage

Kara Lawson took part in an on-stage conversation with Jess Sims at the Peloton Instructor Summit.  She is head coach of the USA Basketball Women’s National Team and of Duke Women’s Basketball, a three-time Olympic gold medalist, and a former WNBA player and NBA assistant coach.

A Possible Peloton Hybrid Class Raises Questions

A reel from the Peloton Instructor Summit posted on September 30 – and since deleted! – appeared to show people riding Bikes while others walked on Treads in the same studio at the same time. Some members viewed the reel before it was removed, and were intrigued!

If this was an early look at a Peloton hybrid class, it would give members who own both a Bike and a Tread a new way to train in one session. It could just as easily have been a one-time summit activity, however. Peloton has not announced anything. But we will let you know if and when they do!

Brands Robin Arzon Featured at the Summit

Robin Arzon posted Stories from the Peloton Instructor Summit that doubled as a guide to what was on site. Of particualr note, she tagged Counter Service for boxes of wrapped sandwiches labeled The Cortese, Green Goddess Chicken Club, Steak and Mushroom Melt and Gigante. Counter Service is the sandwich brand led by Peloton co-founder Tom Cortese as CEO, and one sandwich on the menu carries his name. Our coverage of how the brand started and his Leap Academy talk about leaving Peloton.

The rest of her Stories tagged a Matchaful cart serving matcha, Dagne Dover notebooks and pouches set out on rows of seats, and candy from Alex Karwoski that included Sour Patch Kids, Skittles and Good and Plenty. She also shared Zacharias holding a bushel of apples, which he brought from his very own land! And he sure did look the part!

Peloton Instructor Summit History and the Reconnect Rides

Peloton holds instructor summits annually, and members tend to watch for whatever instructors post from behind the scenes. Earlier in 2026, summits at PSNY and PSL produced the first Reconnect Rides, where all of the instructors in each studio rode together. Denis Morton led the 20-minute PSNY ride, which became a Premiere on January 25, 2026, and Hannah Frankson led the PSL ride, which Premiered on February 1, 2026. Our full recap of the Reconnect Rides also covers guests including Jesse Israel at PSNY and Damian Hughes and Mel C at PSL.

Notably, Ally Love is headed to PSL later this month to teach a UK Black History Month class and most likely for an equivalent Instructor Summit. (And Hannah Frankson did credit her with helping her develop the concept for her new 1:3:5 Ride…)

Whether anything from this Peloton Instructor Summit at PSNY or any upcoming activities at PSL yield more content to follow is something we will keep watching!
