Peloton Influencer Event Debuts Quietly at US Open

Ally Love led an unannounced Pilates class for influencers at Hudson Yards, and she wasn’t the only instructor working outside the studio this week.

A Peloton influencer event unfolded at Hudson Yards this week without a single public listing or member email attached to it. Ally Love led a 30-minute Pilates class at the base of the Vessel, and the guest list was built entirely from content creators rather than ticketed members. The session sat inside Peloton’s broader US Open activation, which The Clip Out has covered since the partnership was first announced.

Love was joined by creators including @lexismickens and @tasiajewelx, along with members of the @fortuneandfork organization, working through a format Peloton’s own social copy described as anything but an average Pilates class. The setting doubled as content, with string lights, a US Open backdrop, and a blue-court footprint built for both movement and colorful Instagram Stories. Attendees moved through core work and strength-focused segments styled as match-ready conditioning, tying the class thematically to the tennis partnership surrounding it.

The Pilates class was not the only invite-only moment at the activation. Matt Wilpers led Peloton’s official Tennis Conditioning class on September 1, a session (open to Peloton members and the public) that filled almost immediately once registration opened. Between that moment and Love’s influencer session, Peloton ran two out-of-studio experiences inside an exciting week of fan-forward programming, that also included the Player Portrait photo activation producing personalized Tennis Player Cards for visitors, and a drawing to win tickets to a US Open match for people who did a Tread demo.

Adjacent Partnership Ties Run Deep

There are some fun parallels in this this sports-to-influencer/celebrity crossover partnership with the US Open. Aditi Shah appeared with Joslyn Thompson-Rule earlier this year as part of Peloton’s Wimbledon collaboration with The Shift (where Aditi is a founding member). Another start studded event! And it’s interesting to note, one of the influencer accounts here at this Peloton influencer event, Fortune and Forks, is the same organization where Greta Dopp appeared as a speaker for their 2026 Girls Summit.

The timing here lines up with Peloton’s expanding partnerships function. Justin Rufen-Blanchette was named Peloton’s Head of Partnerships in June, arriving from Nike and McKinsey with a background in creator-driven brand strategy. A Peloton influencer event built around a Grand Slam tournament fits squarely inside the kind of live activation his hire was likely expected to produce.

A Peloton Influencer Event With a Familiar Playbook

We also reported in March about Peloton’s approach to incorporating influencers, where sponsored classes tied to instructor brand deals came with exclusive invitations to influencers posting under hashtags like #adpartner. How will this translate to that kind of outreach? We shall see.

Peloton Residency signage on the rooftop at Santa Monica Proper

And, Peloton has already shown it is interested in turning a one-off activation into a standing format. Peloton Residency debuted at the Santa Monica Proper hotel this summer with Adrian Williams and Greta Dopp leading a three-day rooftop takeover of strength, yoga, and Pilates classes. These classes are now available to all members in a Collection.

As a side note, while there was no explicit tourism tie-in, some Reddit commenters posited that the new French Riviera on-site classes that Emma Lovewell and Katie Wang just released may be connected to some kind of promotion for travel to the region. Either way, Peloton seems to be upping their travel game for sure.

What’s Next?

Will we see these two classes in a new US Open Collection like the Santa Monica Proper? Will Peloton continue to take their show on the road for more sports collaborations this fall and winter? From down the block to across the country, we can’t wait to see where they pop up next!
