A Familiar Format for Peloton and NYRR

The NYC Marathon shakeout run follows a format Peloton and NYRR have used ahead of other New York races, including the Brooklyn Half and the United Airlines NYC Half. In 2024, the partnership also hosted a full slate of marathon week events.

Two of this year’s leaders have been regulars at Peloton community runs. Matt Wilpers led a free shakeout before the NYC Half in March, and Mariana Fernández hosted Peloton Run and Flow in New York in August, pairing running with restorative yoga.

For anyone running the TCS New York City Marathon, the NYC Marathon shakeout run offers a low-pressure way to loosen up, meet the Peloton community, and log a final easy loop with three familiar instructors before race day.
