Matty Maggiacomo Walk and Talks Take a Break
Matty Maggiacomo Walk and Talk fans should brace for a quiet stretch. Matty taught live classes last week, but according to his own Instagram story posted July 7, the Walk and Talk format will be off the schedule – as will he – for awhile.
Matty Maggiacomo Walk and Talk Schedule Break Down
Per Matty’s IG story, he is heading into a multi-week vacation. He returns in August, and when he does, fans get one Walk and Talk class before the format goes dark again for a few more weeks. After that gap, Matty has planned a special Back-to-School edition. Following that class, he is taking more time off, with a full relaunch of the format planned for October. Matty described the pattern himself as having “method to his madness,” but details were kept quiet. (I mean, we do love a surprise from him, so we’re not mad about it!)

The timing lines up with what members can currently see in the Peloton search function. Matty’s Walk and Talk Collection is presently listed last – fully last! – in Collections. We all know that there is not a lot of rhyme or reason to how Peloton organizes these, and at the bottom of the scroll there does seem to be a stab at alphabetizing, but this Collection is definitely going to be parked here for some time. Routinely they will move more active Collections to the first few rows. So this bottom placement is a clear indicator of the current status.
A Big Send-Off Before the Break
If this is Matty stepping back for a while, he is going out on a high note. His most recent Walk and Talk, the 2026 Pride edition featuring his drag persona Mara Thonner, was one of the more elaborate installments in the format’s history. The class required split-studio production timing between Matty and Mara, an approach that our Helper Bee Sarah described as “production magic” after members caught the twist live. Classes on that level of production do not come together overnight, and it is worth wondering whether the effort behind the Pride finale is part of what is driving this pause, if Matty and the Peloton content team are now regrouping before whatever comes with an October relaunch.
Matty’s Walk and Talk has carried real narrative weight over the past year. His format has hosted Broadway crossovers with guests like Frankie Grande, celebrity walks with Mel Robbins, and invite-only theming built around The Real Housewives of Rhode Island. A hiatus from that level of output is notable on its own.

The Book Update Running in Parallel
The same Instagram story sequence included an update on the novel Matty has been writing. Based on the screenshot from his story, Matty says he is nearing the midpoint again after deleting a significant number of pages, putting him at 172 pages and 42,913 words as of that post, with 420 words written that day. He was direct about the process being entirely his own, writing “no AI, no ghostwriter,” and said he can now see the coming chapters more clearly than before.
Given that the book update arrived in the same story sequence as the Walk and Talk hiatus news, we can guess that at least part of Matty’s time away from the format may be going toward working on the manuscript. Nothing in his posts confirms that connection directly, but the overlap in timing of how he shared both updates makes us wonder.
For now, the takeaway for members is straightforward. The Matty Maggiacomo Walk and Talk format will be scarce through the summer, with only isolated classes in August and a back-to-school special breaking up the quiet, ahead of a full return in October.
