Matt Wilpers HYROX Boston Results By the Numbers
Matt finished 130th of 1,900 in 1:11:21, with a run total that ranked 35th and a station total that ranked 392nd.
Matt Wilpers’ HYROX Boston results are in, and the splits show a race built on running. No surprise there! Matt finished in 1:11:21 on Saturday, October 10, placing 130th of 1,900 in the men’s results and 12th in the 40-44 age group, according to Hyresult.

The finish came at HWPO HYROX Boston, held October 8 to 11 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in the Seaport District. HYROX is a standardized fitness race that pairs eight 1 km runs with eight functional workout stations. It was Matt’s second race, and his first in the Singles category.
Matt Wilpers HYROX Boston Finish by the Numbers
Hyresult breaks the race into running, stations, and the Roxzone, the transition area that connects them. Matt’s run total was 31:48, which ranked 35th of 1,900. Across eight kilometers, that averages just under four minutes per kilometer, or about 6:24 per mile.

His stations total was 34:44, which ranked 392nd. The Roxzone added 4:49 and ranked 167th. Those three segments add up to the 1:11:21 finish.

Hyresult lists each ranking out of 1,900, so every number reflects placement against the same field. In the Matt Wilpers HYROX Boston results, 130th overall puts Matt in the top 7 percent, and 35th in running puts his run total in the top 2 percent.
Hyresult also plots each segment against the full field. Matt’s marker sits on the faster side of the curve for total time, runs, and the Roxzone. For stations, it sits near the peak of the curve, where the largest share of finishers landed. The page also includes separate tabs for runs, stations, splits, and a simulator.
Running Carried the Result
Matt ranked 35th in running and 392nd at the stations, a gap of 357 places. Running makes up eight of the race’s 16 segments, and Matt’s run total covers all eight. His Roxzone rank of 167th landed just behind his overall placement of 130th.
Matt contributed running-focused content to Peloton’s 12-week HYROX Training Program, which Robin Arzon and Andy Speer co-lead and which started February 27, 2026. He was one of 12 instructors involved in the program.
Andy also named Matt at a Peloton x HYROX Power-Up DC event in March. Asked whom he would pick for a HYROX relay team, Andy included Matt among his choices and highlighted the importance of the run.
His success here is no surprise, especially for followers who enjoyed his comical IG stories leading up to the competition about his least favorite station, Wall Balls.
(Many other Boston participants posted on social media about some of the sled lanes, that seemed to be a little harder than expected, perhaps a fault of the venue… but Matt did not mention this.)
How Boston Fits Matt’s 2026 Racing
The Matt Wilpers HYROX Boston race follows his debut at Legendz HYROX Miami Beach in April, where he competed in the Open Doubles division with partner Eric Rivera and finished in 1:03:06.
Matt announced his Miami entry live during a March 14 class, one day before the NYC Half Marathon. His 2026 racing schedule has also included the London Marathon and he was slated to be in the IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant on June 21, although schedule conflicts caused him to have to cancel that race. He will also be racing the New York City Marathon in a few weeks.
What’s next after that? We can’t wait to see!
