Hannah Frankson NYC Marathon plans are official. The Peloton instructor confirmed this week that she has entered the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon, marking her second marathon since a three-year break from the distance.

A Second Chance, More Fun

Frankson called it a “say yes summer.” Lululemon invited her to run the Seawheeze half marathon in Vancouver this August, and Peloton asked if she wanted to take on the Hackney Half Marathon closer to home in London. She said yes to both. Then, somewhere in the middle of all that yes-saying, she stopped waiting to be asked.

“That, my friend, is how I’ve entered myself in the New York City Marathon this year,” she told followers, describing it as the natural extension of a summer built on stepping outside her comfort zone.

Hannah Frankson NYC Marathon Plans Follow Her First Half Marathon

The Hackney Half Marathon carried extra weight beyond the Peloton partnership. It marked Frankson’s first half marathon distance, run alongside fellow Peloton instructor Susie Chan, who has run the Hackney course since its 2014 debut. The two spent the spring leading Peloton Studios London run club sessions together ahead of the May 17 race, and crossing the actual start line was the payoff of that shared training block.

Her first marathon came at the 2024 London Marathon, which she finished in 4:03:59. This fall’s race will be her return to the 26.2-mile distance after that three-year gap.

Twelve Weeks to Central Park

Frankson says she plans to approach this training block differently than her last one. She’s promising a more honest look at the process, a slightly more serious approach to the work, and more fun along the way. That means longer long runs stretched across roughly 12 weeks, more energy gels, more running fits, and dedicated recovery sessions built into the plan from the start.

The 2026 TCS New York City Marathon falls on Sunday, November 1, marking the race’s 50th anniversary running through all five boroughs before finishing in Central Park. For Frankson, the Hannah Frankson NYC Marathon build starts now, roughly three months out from race day.

She’s already asking her community for help, putting out a call for good running routes around Hackney as she logs training miles at home before race day. Saying yes to the opportunities in front of her got her here. This time, she’s the one doing the asking.
