The Clip Out Editorial Policy

Last Updated: May 4, 2026By

The Clip Out is an independent news and podcast publication covering the Peloton fitness community. We have been reporting on Peloton since 2017 and are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Peloton Interactive, Inc. in any way.

Our Editorial Mission

We exist to keep the Peloton community informed with accurate, timely, and honest coverage of news, product updates, instructor developments, and community stories. Our goal is to be the most reliable independent source of Peloton news that members can trust to report what’s actually happening, not what any company wants them to hear.

Accuracy & Verification

We are committed to publishing accurate information. Before publishing, our editorial team:

  • Verifies claims through at least one primary or credible secondary source wherever possible
  • Clearly attributes information to its source
  • Distinguishes between confirmed facts and developing or unverified information
  • Does not publish rumors as news

When we are unable to fully verify a claim but believe it is newsworthy, we say so explicitly in the article.

Corrections Policy

We take corrections seriously. If we publish something inaccurate, we will:

  • Correct the error promptly upon discovery or notification
  • Note the correction transparently within the article, including what was changed and when
  • Never silently delete or alter content to hide an error

To report an error, contact us at [email protected] or use our Contact page.

News vs. Opinion

We publish both news reporting and opinion or commentary. We label these clearly:

  • News articles report on events, announcements, and developments and aim to present facts without editorializing
  • Opinion and commentary pieces represent the views of the named author and are labeled as such
  • Podcast content includes a mix of news discussion and personal opinion, which is inherent to the format

Editorial Independence

The Clip Out is editorially independent. Our coverage decisions are made solely by our editorial team and are never influenced by advertisers, sponsors, or brand relationships.

  • We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage
  • Sponsored content, if published, is always clearly labeled as such
  • Our Sponsors page lists brands we have worked with commercially. These relationships have no bearing on our editorial coverage
  • We cover Peloton critically and honestly, including negative news, regardless of any business relationships

Our Team

Our editorial team includes trained journalists and subject matter experts who are deeply embedded in the Peloton community. Author bios are published on each article. Questions about editorial decisions can be directed to Crystal O’Keefe at [email protected].

Updates to This Policy

This editorial policy was last updated in April 2026. We will update it as our practices evolve and will note the date of any significant changes.

About the Author: Crystal OKeefe

NASM certified personal trainer. Peloton junkie since 7/15/16. Owner of the bike+, tread+ and the rower. Two kids in college, a doggo named Twix (which Twix? The left, of course!), and a wonderful husband who co-hosts The Clip Out with me. He's so supportive that he will spend hours a week talking about my favorite subject (so long as we can throw in pop culture!). Find me on the Peloton leaderboard at #ClipOutCrystal
