Cliff Dwenger and Bernarda Debut Original Music in Zurich
The Voice of Germany duo performed their first original songs together at the Swiss Karate League Finals, and the crowd’s reaction caught them off guard.
Cliff Dwenger and Bernarda have moved their music project from announcement to reality. The Peloton instructor and his longtime Voice of Germany castmate, Bernarda Brunovic, performed their first original songs together live on June 27 at the Swiss Karate League Finals in Zurich.
Bernarda shared the moment on Instagram, writing in German that the two did not expect the reaction they got. She described a hall full of energy, and said that once the set ended, young fans lined up for photos and high fives. “This is exactly why we make music,” she wrote.
How Cliff Dwenger and Bernarda’s Collaboration Came Together
The partnership between Cliff Dwenger and Bernarda goes back to 2018, when the two first met as contestants on The Voice of Germany. They reconnected as All Stars during the 2025 season, performing Beyoncé’s “Freedom” together in what Dwenger called an unforgettable moment. That reunion set the stage for the original material the pair debuted in Zurich.
Cliff teaches Bike, Strength, and Bootcamp classes in German out of Peloton’s London studio, and he has never treated music as separate from that work. In 2024, he released his first original track, the gospel hip-hop single “Work Hard, Pray Hard,” and brought a full choir into a live Peloton class to perform it. The Zurich show marks the first time he and Bernarda have released and performed original songs as a pair, rather than covering an existing track.
Peloton instructor Charlotte Weidenbach commented on Bernarda’s post, a reminder that Cliff’s Peloton community has been following this story since The Clip Out first reported on the project’s early signs back in April.
No song titles or streaming release dates have been confirmed yet. For now, the Zurich performance stands as proof of concept: a packed hall, an enthusiastic young fan base, and two artists with a shared history finally putting original work in front of an audience.
