Becs Gentry Peloton Instructor Talks the Shift to Ultra Running

The conversation centers on Gentry’s move from road racing into ultra running, with a focus on the mindset shifts and internal dialogue that come with pushing into a longer, less predictable kind of endurance event. That shift has played out publicly this year, most recently when she finished the Canyons Endurance Runs 50K in Auburn, California, a race that pushed her well past marathon distance and into genuine ultra territory. Abbate hosts the taping as part of her Hurdle podcast, which regularly features athletes navigating changes in their training and competitive goals.

Part of a Week-Long Performance House Series

The Hurdle taping featuring Becs Gentry Peloton instructor is one of several events during Rivian’s Performance House, a week-long series running July 13 through 19 and co-created with alpine ski racer Mikaela Shiffrin. The lineup includes an opening night appearance from Shiffrin, a conversation between Rich Roll and Manoj Dias on performance mindset, and daily morning workouts led by Life Time coaches, and the Hurdle podcast taping on July 15.

The event gives Peloton members in New York a rare chance to hear Becs Gentry Peloton instructor insight outside a studio setting, in a smaller, conversation-driven format tied to a broader week of performance-focused programming. Space is limited, and RSVPs can be made through Rivian’s event page.
