Austrian National Day Brings 2 German Instructor Classes
Austrian National Day Launches Austro Pop Ride and Strength
Erik Jäger leads a 30-minute Austro Pop Ride and Assal Arian teaches a 15-minute core class on Monday, Oct. 26.

Austrian National Day on Monday, Oct. 26, brings two live Peloton classes from instructors who regularly lead German-themed programming. Erik Jäger leads a 30-minute Austro Pop Ride at 2:00 PM ET, and Assal Arian teaches a 15-minute Austro Pop Core Strength class at 4:00 AM ET.
Austrian National Day Class Details
Assal Arian’s class comes first. Her 15-minute Austro Pop Core Strength class is live, listed at the Intermediate level, and filed under Strength. Erik Jäger follows with a live, 30-minute Austro Pop Ride listed under Cycling.
The two formats cover different schedules and training goals. One is a short strength session and the other is a longer ride, so the Austrian National Day lineup gives members a choice instead of a single class.
Erik Jäger Brings Ride Experience
Erik Jäger has led iconic German-language cycling and strength classes since joining Peloton in 2020.
He is a regular in Peloton’s themed German content. In September, he teamed with Mila Lazar for a Two For One Oktoberfest Ride, as The Clip Out noted his history with German Carnival classes in our coverage. He also had a unique German “wandrerlust” ride earlier this year, in the “Rieselust” collection. An Austro Pop Ride on Austrian National Day continues that run of themed rides.

Assal Arian Brings Core Strength Expertise
Assal Arian teaches Strength classes, and her Instagram posts focus on form cues that make an exercise work the intended muscles are popular and well explained. The Clip Out broke these down, including reaching long before rotating and moving slowly through the sticky point of a rep. Those are the kinds of cues members can expect in her Strength classes.
The format is familiar for her. Her Reiselust Core Strength class was also 15 minutes at the Intermediate level, and her BBP (Bauch Beino Po) classes offer German-language classes built around abs, legs and glutes. She has also teamed with Erik for Two For One strength classes, including the Oktoberfest Strength class in September.
German Instructors and Austrian National Day Programming
Austrian National Day falls on October 26, and Austria has observed it since 1965. The date marks the end of the post-war occupation and Austria’s declaration of neutrality in 1955.
Themed days are a pattern for Peloton’s German instructors. All of them led a recent 30-minute outdoor class for German Unity Day. The Reiselust collection also took members on a virtual trip through Germany and Austria across cycling, running, walking, strength, yoga, Pilates, meditation and stretching classes, as The Clip Out reported in this coverage.
Both classes are listed as live, so members who want to take part should plan around the 4:00 AM ET and 2:00 PM ET start times on Monday, Oct. 26. Austrian National Day adds another themed date to a fall that has already included Oktoberfest and German Unity Day.
