Peloton Predictions for 2025: Checking the Tarot Receipts
As we get ready to welcome Tarot Card Reader Erica McLean (@FITMomERICA) back to The Clip Out for her 2026 Peloton predictions, we’re doing what any responsible podcast would do first: checking the tapes and revisiting her predictions for 2025. Earlier this year, Erica pulled cards and made her bold predictions for Peloton in 2025. And now that we’re at the end of the year, it felt like the perfect time to revisit those readings and see how the universe (and Peloton) actually delivered.
Just like last time, we’re sorting her Peloton predictions into three very official categories: the ones that nailed it, the ones that were close enough that we’ll give the cards partial credit, and the ones that didn’t quite pan out. Or, as we like to say, were unrealized. Spoiler alert: Erica absolutely called some BIG things—capital B, BIG—and a few moments had us staring at the notes like, “Okay, that’s a little spooky.”
Each prediction below (lightly edited for clarity and brevity) comes straight from episode 393 of The Clip Out, recorded earlier this year specifically for 2025. No 2026 predictions yet—but you’ll get those soon.
First things first, though. Let’s shuffle the deck, flip the cards, and see how well the predictions stacked up.
Nailed It!
These Peloton Predictions Were Spot On!
Peloton Prediction #1: Completion of…..Something
Kicking off the interview, Erica saw something in the cards regarding Peloton as a whole. Erica said, “I think that there is going to be something ending and there’s going to be something new to start. It might be something that people are nervous about at first, but then they realize this is good. It’s going to take us to a good place.”
Outcome:
True! Viewed through a business lens, this year marked a major turning point for Peloton hardware. July brought the official end of the Peloton Guide, while October ushered in an entirely new chapter with the launch of the Cross Training Series—brand new Peloton hardware that leans heavily into AI to enhance the member experience.
To say members were nervous about AI becoming part of their daily workouts would be an understatement. The shift away from the Guide and toward AI-driven training was met with noticeable resistance from parts of the community. That said, AI is the next evolution of fitness technology, and it’s clearly here to stay at Peloton. And while we’re no tarot card readers ourselves, we’re willing to predict that once members see how AI can actually help them train smarter and reach their goals, adoption will follow.
Peloton Prediction #2: Jess Sims
Turning her attention toward the instructors, and specifically toward Jess, Erica said, “I saw that she could get an offer for something within broadcasting aside from what she’s doing now. This could be a full-year type of thing. I do see it has to do with basketball, just a bigger contract. I do see a lot of travel for her this 2025. In March, I see her traveling a lot. I think this is around women’s basketball or college basketball.”
Outcome:
True! Jess splits her time between Peloton and ESPN’s College GameDay in the fall, and once her GameDay duties wrap, she bounces (see what I did there?) straight into basketball season. From there, she lends her talents to ESPN’s coverage of both Women’s and Men’s NCAA basketball.
The 2024–2025 season was especially busy, and the 2025–2026 season is shaping up to be much of the same. While basketball coverage isn’t technically a year-round role, when you combine it with her College GameDay gig, it comes very—very—close. That leaves Jess with only a few months of downtime in late spring and summer before the cycle starts all over again.
Peloton Prediction #3: Callie Gullickson
The cards focused themselves on Callie next, with Erica telling us, “I feel like there’s a decision that she’s going to have to make come the Spring around April. I do see in October she is either having another baby or being pregnant. I see a girl.”
View this post on Instagram
Outcome:
True! While we aren’t sure what decision she may have had to make in the spring, we do know that Callie announced her 2nd pregnancy in August of this year and a month later shared that Cash will be getting a little sister in early 2026. And, given that she announced in August and shared her gender reveal in September, she was most certainly pregnant in October, just as the cards predicted.
Peloton Prediction #4: New Instructors
It’s the question forever living rent-free in Peloton members’ minds (right behind “Is anyone leaving???”): are we getting new instructors? Erica referenced an earlier prediction and said, “I was talking before about completion. It is a possibility for new instructors. I do see them having their eye on a younger male instructor. I feel this is an athlete but not an athlete we’ve heard about like a pro athlete. It’s somebody who played at D1 or something in college or something of an Olympic-type person. I feel there have been talks within this person. This person does have a family. They don’t live in New York. This is a back-and-forth thing with them.”
Outcome:
True and True! In February of this year, kettlebell training came to the platform and Peloton announced that Dre Mayes, a former D1 football player, would help launch Peloton’s first dedicated kettlebell program called “The Kettlebell Experience” on the Strength+ app (currently only available to iOS users…still).
Additionally, Peloton welcomed a second guest instructor, Australia’s Tim Robards. Tim does not live in New York, does have a family and did spend a lot of time flying back and forth between London and his home country of Australia while learning to become “camera ready” and filming his new content that will launch throughout 2026 alongside a number of PSL instructors.
Peloton Prediction #5: Scandal
After Tom and Crystal asked her if there would be any instructor drama or scandal in 2025, Erica said, “I did have the energy of either two instructors. I almost think it’s an instructor’s friend. I feel like these two people, even if it’s an instructor or a friend of an instructor, have known each other for a while. I have that age difference there. There could be some other relationship that we hear about. As for dates, this might not be until the summertime, like June. This person could just be a good friend of the instructor.”
Outcome:
Lordt, have mercy. Listen—Peloton instructors are famously tight-lipped when it comes to in-house drama. So when AT finally got fed up with Jennifer Jacobs’ nonsense, it was the clapback heard ’round the Peloton world. First, let’s rewind a bit: When Jennifer left Peloton in 2019, she maintained close friendships with many instructors, frequently visiting them during NYC trips and making appearances in their Instagram posts. And despite some self-promotion over the years that included the occasional thinly veiled swipe at her Peloton past, her former colleagues largely gave her a wide berth.
That all changed when she took a direct, targeted shot after joining Ladder—and that proved to be a bridge too far, especially for Alex Toussaint. In June, Jennifer made an intentionally vague Instagram post strongly implying a possible return to Peloton (yes, complete with a Peloton Bike), only to follow it up with the announcement that she was joining Ladder Fitness instead and introducing the “Ditch the Bike” campaign, which took direct aim at Peloton—the company that built her—suggesting it was nothing more than a place to hang laundry. And if that wasn’t enough, Ladder doubled down by parking a billboard truck outside PSNY on a day they knew the studios would be closed. Oh—and JJ showed up to film IG content of it, just to make sure everyone knew she was there.
AT was d.o.n.e with her B.S. With a quick apology to HR, he passionately defended his workplace and his teammates in the most AT way possible—by letting Jennifer know exactly how he felt during a live ’90s run, declaring, “I love you, but watch your f**king mouth.” And honestly? The Peloton world collectively gasped… and then nodded…and clapped. Because, same. Everyone knows that you don’t disrespect the family. So, yeah. This one was true. Obvi.
Want to see the whole thing and either refresh your memory or bask in the glory of AT standing up for the family? Add it to your stack here. Or, watch it here.
Peloton Prediction #6: Mariana Fernández
Continuing on the Instructor prediction path, Erica focused on Mariana, “The cards that I pulled with her, we may see her slowing down this year from running. It could be because maybe she’s doing too much and she needs to slow down or she’s working on something else. I do see the end of the not even the spring, maybe it could be around the end of March. Her taking a little time off. I do see her maybe traveling.”
Outcome:
True. Everyone’s favorite Tia has been open about her fertility journey, so, yes, she was most definitely working on something else this year. She’s also been vocal about the importance of prioritizing mental health, especially in the Latinx community. We adore Mariana and wish her nothing but the best of everything in 2026.
Peloton Prediction #7: Matty Maggiacomo
The cards turned their attention to Matty next with Erica saying, “I do see him getting married this year. I see all new things happening for him. I don’t know what it is but I do see him standing up for something meaningful for him.”
Outcome:
True!! After becoming engaged in 2023, Matty tied the knot with his long-time love Evan in October of 2025. And, that meaningful thing that he stood up for? We have a feeling it was for his intimate, bespoke Central Park wedding. Another new thing that happened for Matty this year was the launch of his new podcast, “Drama Club,” which you can catch on YouTube here, or listen to wherever you get your podcasts (after you listen to The Clip Out, though).
Peloton Prediction #8: Cody/Rad
Cody and Rad, although getting separate predictions, became the focus of the cards at the same time. Erica wasted no time letting us know what they said, “I got Cody having a new relationship. I got a lot like Rad kept coming to my mind about something that was going to get fulfilled for him, almost like a wish or something that he’s been wanting or manifesting coming into fruition.”

Outcome:
True! Much like a co-taught class at Peloton, this prediction turned out to be a two-for-one—because the cards focused on both of them almost simultaneously. Cody is, in fact, in a new relationship that only recently went Instagram-official, and Rad was announced as Peloton’s newest Bike Bootcamp instructor back in March. Was he manifesting it? Who knows—but a sizable chunk of the community definitely was.
Peloton Prediction #9: Someone Leaving Peloton
We’re always worried that a beloved instructor may be on the way out the door, but Erica saw a different kind of departure in the cards. “I see somebody taking more time off than usual because I see a break needed. It’s almost like I feel overused, whether they’re working out. They’re doing too much and they need to stop and they need to take this break. I do see that. We could see that in October.”
Outcome:
True. Callie taught her final live class of 2025 late this fall and announced she won’t return to the live schedule until June 2026. Whether the extended break is simply how her calendar lined up with maternity leave, a conscious choice to give herself more time adjusting to life as a mom of two, or—let’s be honest—a little of both, one thing is clear: Callie is not exactly sitting still.
Right out of the gate, she spent the first part of her hiatus promoting her new mocktail book with a whirlwind book tour. So yes—she’s probably a little tired and is looking forward to some downtime.
Peloton Prediction #10: Financials
Tom and Crystal asked Erica to see what the cards said about Peloton’s financial status. Erica said, ”I do see that there’s a decision that they’re making. The team, not the instructors. The team is already going back and forth with a decision around financial things. I feel it’s cutting stuff. It’s not necessarily instructors, whether raising prices somewhere along the line or doing something to make everything financially better for the company.”
Outcome:
True! There has, in fact, been a lot of cutting at Peloton this year—most notably the closure of all traditional showrooms and the departure of a number of employees, including some in leadership roles. It’s safe to assume there was plenty of behind-the-scenes discussion (and debate) before those decisions were finalized. And, as if we needed to remind anyone, yes—members also saw a price increase this year.
Peloton Prediction #11: The Clip Out
Of course Tom and Crystal wanted to know what the cards saw for the podcast with Erica saying, “I know you have Dr. Jenn. It’s something like that or it could be something with her that you guys are putting together for the near future. You’re going to get more listeners. The hard work is paying off for you.”
Outcome:
True and True. This year, Dr. Jenn joined Tom and Crystal to break down Unknown Number: The High School Catfish and Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser—both of which aired exclusively on The Clip Out’s Patreon channel. And speaking of Patreon, that’s where we saw some of our most exciting growth, with more listeners than ever tuning in for weekly bonus episodes, unfiltered hot takes, and Peloton insight you truly can’t get anywhere else.
That said, the main weekly podcast also saw growth this year. On Spotify alone, The Clip Out saw a 295% increase in new listenership, with the show outperforming 92% of all podcasts on the platform—a milestone completely separate from our Patreon subscriber growth. Whether you’re listening for free each week or hanging out with us on Patreon, we’re beyond grateful you’re here. Curious about the tea we’re spilling behind the paywall? Come join the party.

These Peloton Predictions Were Pretty Close
Peloton Prediction #12: Alex Toussaint
In addition to the Jennifer Jacobs kerfuffle, Erica saw a few more cards pertaining to Alex Toussaint. “I got the vibe that he was working hard on something behind the scenes. We may see him in the spring giving back to the community. There’s something that he’s going to do and he’s working hard at. I do see him going to Atlanta to do some stuff.”
Outcome:
Mostly true! Alex took his “Give Back Run Club” benefitting his Do Good Foundation on the road and, while he didn’t make it to Atlanta, he did visit Chicago, Kansas City, Dallas and San Francisco.
Peloton Prediction #13: Susie Chan
Erica didn’t just focus on the PSNY side of things. The cards focused on a PSL instructor too. Erica said, “Susie has something else big on the horizon with another race. I do see her teaming up with a supplement-type thing. I see that she’s probably going to do London in 2025. She has a lot of decisions to make around these races. I don’t know why I’m seeing Jon Hosking. I see him doing this with her. If it’s not this race, it’s one of the other marathons she’s doing.”

Outcome:
Close! While Susie didn’t run the London Marathon this year, she was heavily involved in running events around London, hosting numerous outdoor run club events. She also participated in the Royal Parks half marathon with fellow running pal/Peloton instructor Jeffrey McEachern. And did a little thing called the Sydney marathon, where she received her seventh marathon star. And, although it’s not exactly a supplement, Susie is teaming up with Respin for their partnership with Peloton to bring the peri/menopause conversation front and center for members.
Peloton Prediction #14: August
The cards were whispering August to Erica as a month of importance. “I see something happening around healthcare workers, nurses, doctors, or something like that. Whether that’s in August, I don’t know but I do see August being a pivotal month for things.”
Outcome:
Mostly true. In October, a partnership between Peloton and the Hospital for Special Surgery was introduced. We do imagine that a lot of i’s were being dotted and t’s were being crossed in August in preparation of the roll out, though. Members can now find numerous HSS classes on the Peloton platform, including a new program dedicated to rehabilitating the shoulder.

These Peloton Predictions Didn’t Quite Pan Out
Peloton Prediction #15: Mystery Instructor Decision
The cards seemed to think that there would be some behind-the-scenes decisions in 2025. Erica said, “I got a decision around one of the instructors. It’s a decision that they have to make around some sort of situation. I don’t see this person leaving, but I do see having a decision. I also see another speak-up thing for this person, speaking up against something to protect somebody else. They’re very passionate and speak up about something for the instructors.”
Outcome:
Inconclusive. Some Peloton instructors share everything, while others keep things a little closer to the vest. That said, this was a pretty broad prediction, and if any instructors were quietly wrestling with a tough decision or a sticky situation behind the walls of PSNY or PSL (or even in their personal lives), we never saw any outward signs of it.
That said… it’s also possible this prediction was tapping into the Alex Toussaint/Jennifer Jacobs dust-up, which very much did play out publicly and very loudly. If the cards were hinting at internal tension bubbling over into the open, well—consider that box checked.
Still, we’d very much like to keep believing that, for the most part, Peloton instructors are one big, happy family—thriving, unbothered, and blissfully drama-free. So, we’re ok with this prediction being inconclusive. Let us have this. We’ve earned a little joy.
Looking Toward 2026
So… how’d the cards do? Honestly? Pretty darn well. As we wrap up 2025, Erica’s predictions delivered everything from “nailed it” to “pretty close.” If nothing else, they kept us guessing, speculating, and occasionally screaming into the group chat. Tarot may not predict everything, but it absolutely understands Peloton energy—and we’re ready for the next round of cards to hit the table and tell us what 2026 has in store.
