Exciting News: Peloton Joins the HOKA Hackney Half Marathon With Two Instructors Running the Race

Last Updated: March 13, 2026By Tags: , ,

The Hackney Half Marathon just got a major boost. Peloton has announced an official partnership with the HOKA Hackney Half Marathon ahead of the May 17, 2026 race in London. Two UK instructors are confirmed on the start line: Hannah Frankson and Susie Chan.

What the HOKA Hackney Half Marathon Is

The Hackney Half Marathon launched in 2014 and has since grown into the largest half marathon in London. More than 27,000 runners are registered for 2026.

The event is now part of a broader weekend called HOKA Hackney Moves, running May 15 through 17 on Hackney Marshes in East London. General entry tickets sold out in a single day when they went on sale last May, marking four consecutive years of record sell-outs.

HOKA stepped into the title sponsorship role this year after three years as the official footwear and apparel partner. Beyond the race itself, the weekend includes a Community 5K, a Schools’ Challenge, live music, and a full festival village. In 2025, more than 60,000 people visited Hackney Marshes across the two-day event.

What Peloton’s Hackney Half Marathon Partnership Involves

Peloton is the Official Cross Training Equipment Partner for the 2026 HOKA Hackney Half Marathon event, and its role goes well beyond a logo placement.

In the weeks leading up to race day, Peloton will host special run clubs from Peloton Studios London. The first one is just around the corner and it is a good one. On Monday, March 16 at 6:00pm, Peloton Studios London is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day run club led by instructors Erik Jager and Joslyn Thompson Rule. Participants can choose a 5K or 3K run or walk option, and everyone is encouraged to wear something green. The route finishes at Guinness Open Gate Brewery London, which is right opposite Peloton Studios London, for a post-run cooldown. Please note that the brewery portion of the event is open to attendees aged 18 and over only.

Peloton has been building out its London run club programming steadily throughout 2026, and you can see what those events have looked like in our Peloton February 2026 run club coverage.

On race weekend itself, Peloton instructors will lead warm-ups and cool-downs at selected HOKA Hackney Moves events. Runners will also be able to book complimentary spots for on-demand, mat-based strength classes at Peloton Studios London on Sundays in the lead-up to the race. Over the event weekend, Peloton will have a stand where runners can try the Bike+ and Tread, enter competitions, and explore what the platform offers. There will also be a dedicated Peloton cheer zone near mile 9 of the course.

The framing behind all of it is cross-training. Peloton is positioning itself as the training partner that helps runners show up healthy to the start line. That fits how Peloton has been presenting its Tread and broader fitness platform to running communities, and it connects well with resources like the Peloton Road to Half Marathon program, which guides members through structured half marathon training.

This is not the first time Peloton has embedded itself in a major race weekend. The brand previously partnered with the Generali Berlin Half Marathon in 2024, showing a consistent interest in race event partnerships.

Hannah Frankson Is Running the Hackney Half Marathon

Peloton UK instructor Hannah Frankson is lacing up for the HOKA Half Marathon in May. Hannah is a London-based Tread and Bike instructor who has been with Peloton since 2019.

She is a natural fit for a race rooted in East London community culture. She is also no stranger to big running events. She ran the 2024 London Marathon and finished in 4:03:59, a race she described as a personal milestone.

Seeing her take on a half marathon closer to home, on a course that fits her community-focused coaching style, is a treat for UK Peloton members.  If you want a front row seat to the journey, follow Hannah on social media. As she works through her training in the weeks ahead for the Hackney Half Marathon, her behind-the-scenes stories are sure to be worth watching.

Susie Chan Is Running Too

Susie Chan, Peloton’s UK running instructor and ultramarathon veteran, is also confirmed for the HOKA Hackney Half Marathon.

Susie actually ran the original race back in 2014, the event’s very first year, and is now returning to the course for 2026. That is a full-circle moment worth celebrating.

She has spoken publicly about how her training philosophy has evolved toward a more balanced model that blends strength work and yoga alongside running. That is exactly the cross-training approach Peloton is centering this partnership around.

For anyone who wants to learn more about Susie’s remarkable running background, her book Trails and Tribulations is a great place to start.

A Strong Fit for Peloton’s UK Strategy

The HOKA Hackney Half Marathon partnership is consistent with Peloton’s broader push to grow in-person community presence, which the company has flagged as a strategic priority.

Peloton Studios London is the natural hub for UK community activations. Anchoring around a sold-out London race with two instructors on the start line and a cheer zone on course is as concrete a community play as the brand can make.

For UK members interested in the run clubs leading up to the race or the race weekend activations, keep an eye on Peloton Studios London’s social channels and the HOKA Hackney Moves website as May approaches.
