Peloton Instructors at London Marathon 2024

Peloton Instructors Make Their Mark at the London Marathon

On a crisp April morning in London, a unique blend of passion, perseverance, and philanthropy took to the streets in the form of five vibrant Peloton instructors. The 2024 London Marathon witnessed an inspiring display of athleticism and spirit from Ben Alldis, Hannah Frankson, Leeanne Hainsby, Jeffrey McEachern, and Kristin McGee. Here’s how the day unfolded for these dynamic fitness trainers who’ve inspired thousands from the yoga mat to the bike saddle to the pavement.

Uniting for a Cause and Conquering the Course

Jeffrey McEachern led the pack- in his second marathon within a week!- with an impressive finish of 3:39:36 showcasing a personal victory- and bolstered by the presence of his biggest fan, his mother, cheering him on. Following closely in speed and spirit was Ben Alldis, who clocked in at 3:52:04, and Hannah Frankson, who completed in 4:03:59. She’s been in London Marathon-related ads twice, and was extra proud to have finished her own.

Leeanne Hainsby, shining with sheer determination, crossed the finish line at 4:54:06, a moment made sweeter by the sideline support of fellow instructor and pro runner Susie Chan. A heartwarming video capture of their encounter reminded everyone of the tight-knit community that Peloton fosters, both among its instructors and its members.

Rounding off the group, Kristin McGee, known for her calming presence in the yoga studio, embarked on what she called “one of the hardest things she’s ever done,” completing her first-ever marathon in 5:52:59, a testament to her indomitable spirit. (Her post-race reel put us in mind of another race story that got us a tiny bit teary not so long ago!)

More Than a Marathon

What set the Peloton instructors apart wasn’t just their athletic endeavor but their commitment to a cause greater than themselves. Ben and Leeanne embarked on this 26.2-mile challenge not just as athletes, but as champions for charity, raising an astounding £52,000 for Breast Cancer Now. (Want to donate to this cause? The Hainsby/Alldis fundraising page can be found here!) Their remarkable effort ranked them 4th on the marathon’s fundraising leaderboard, an amazing achievement highlighting their influence and dedication to making a difference.

A New Chapter in Fitness Leadership

The London Marathon 2024 wasn’t just a display of physical endurance but a powerful narrative of leadership, community, and change. Each stride taken by the Peloton instructors was a lesson in resilience, a showcase of the human spirit’s capability to push beyond the imaginable, and a call to action for each of us to pursue our passions relentlessly.

The instructors’ marathon efforts mirrored their teaching philosophy — to motivate, to empower, and to lead by example. On the streets of London, as thousands cheered, five instructors redefined what it means to be a leader in the fitness industry, blurring the lines between athlete and advocate, between personal achievement and public inspiration.

The Road Ahead

As the dust settles on this monumental event, the journey is far from over for these incredible athletes and leaders. Their marathon story is a vivid chapter in their larger narrative of inspiring fitness, wellness, and positive change. For the Peloton community and beyond, these instructors have set an exemplar of merging fitness with meaningful causes, of challenging personal limits, and of the profound impact communal support and shared goals can have.

Their story from the London Marathon is not just about the miles covered but the milestones achieved in personal growth, community building, and philanthropic success. It reminiscences that in the race of life, it’s not just about how fast you run, but about the lives you touch and inspire along the way.
