Why you loved them!

Sometimes it’s hard to pick just one favorite, but these reviews make it easy! Here’s what the TCO Community had to say about their favorite classes from the last week.

1. Favorite Peloton Two-For-One Walk + Run

2/13/24 30 min Two For One Walk + Run with Joslyn & Susie

We shared how much we absolutely loved Peloton’s Galentine’s classes last week, and it’s no surprise that our listeners chose them as their favorites! Two Galentine’s two-for-ones made this week’s Top 5, not least of which was Joslyn & Susie’s Walk + Run. We received so many great comments on this one!

Our very own Clip Out Crystal took this class and shared that she “loved hearing the story of how Joslyn and Susie met and became friends. I especially loved that they had NOT known each other for years, but instead clicked instantly once they both started working at Peloton.” And the playlist? Crystal said, “When your class starts with “Push It” and then transitions into “Raise Your Glass”, it’s gonna be lit.  And it was.”

Listener Becky Kithcart Gomez sums it up perfectly: “Susie and Joslyn’s two for one Galentine’s walk/run was so fun! The playlist was great and it felt like hanging out with girlfriends. It was one of those classes where you could make it as easy or as hard as you wanted as well.”

2. Favorite Peloton Groove Two-For-One Ride

2/13/24 30 min Groove Two For One Ride with Emma & Leanne

You don’t have to identify as a gal to enjoy a good Galentine’s class! The Clip Out’s own Chris Perone shared that even though he hadn’t taken many Groove Rides in the past, this one may have converted him. But the ride was more than just a good workout. He said, “The absolute highlight of the ride for me was seeing Emma and Leanne’s friendship shine.”

Listener Margaret Folkman Robertson is also not usually one for Groove Rides, but she enjoyed this one so much it was her favorite class of the week! She said, “I don’t really take groove rides but loved how they explained everything. The music was upbeat, they were great and the ride was just awesome. I will probably take this one again just for the energy!”

Marie KBurdick agrees, adding that she was drenched in sweat after!

In a Groove Ride, cadence always matches the beat of the music and the instructors offer optional choreography–including presses–where both hands are on the center handlebar and you do mini pushups to the beat–as well as shoulder taps and out-of-the-saddle tap-backs where you send your hips over the saddle and back to center–again, to the beat. And even if choreography is not something you’ve ever thought you might need in a cycling class, the feeling of moving in unison with the entire class is a new kind of fun and definitely worth giving a try.

3. Favorite Peloton JSS Ride

2/18/24 45 min My Mixtape Ride with Jenn Sherman

Nancy Nilsen: “The JSS My Mixed Tape ride from 2/18! She once again proved she is the Queen of the Mixed Tapes with a FU playlist that pushed me and many others to a new PR. JSS is back and better than ever!”

Sarah Lester agrees, adding that the theme was perfection and spoke to her Gen X heart!

This is Jenn’s first 45-minute class since returning from her recent medical break, and she was ready to rock. Her Mixtape signature series is where she throws it back to the old days when creating a mixtape was a skill and an art form–one at which she excels! This class’ theme is “eff you, eff off, go eff yourself,” in other words, a celebration of setting your boundaries and standing your ground against haters!

Jenn says that we’re taking no S today and she’s got the playlist to prove it, including badass belters from P!nk, Paramore, Kesha, and Alanis Morissette. The class offers plenty of opportunities to spin out any frustrations with high-cadence sprints, climbs, and long interval efforts. Jenn and the entire studio are fired up from start to finish–it would be hard hold anything back on this ride!

4. Favorite Unstackable Peloton Ride

2/17/24 45 min Your Day One Ride with Robin Arzón

Sometimes we want a class that leaves us in a puddle and washes all hope of a stack of extra classes away with it. We call those classes Unstackable, and we love hearing about our listeners’ Unstackable experiences.

For this week’s Unstackable recommendation, we received too many to just pick one, so we’re bringing you both an Unstackable Ride and an Unstackable Run!

For the Ride, Michael S. Davern shares that Robin was absolutely on fire in her Your Day One Ride: “I thought I was ok as she just had a yellow belt on. Apparently, the amount of yellow is not a clue, so any amount of yellow is a warning. This was a killer ride. Three sections, the middle filled with TABATA although every section was difficult. I liked that there was time for recoveries so you could go hard when necessary. I have noticed over the years that when you are just going through the motions on a ride or workout, the motivational phrases that the instructors use seem out of place and rather lame. However, when you buy in and go hard, they hit differently. Robin can be like that for me. Since fully recovered from her last pregnancy, she has been on fire. Her crown is back on. This is part of a 100 day cycle where she will come back to this ride again in 100 days. This ride was intended to be day one—not some day, but today. Good luck. You have been warned.”

Ginny Davis agreed: “This is both my unstackable AND my favorite ride of the week. It was challenging but it was exactly what I needed. I loved this ride.”

5. Favorite Unstackable Peloton Run

2/18/24 60 min Intervals Run with Becs Gentry

Katherine Axani brings us this week’s Unstackable Run recommendation: “Becs brought the 🔥 to both her classes this weekend (when Becs is training for a marathon, we all are training too 😂)! This one had endurance on incline, hard run intervals, and FINISHED with 15 minutes at tempo pace! 🌶️🌶️🌶️

If you are up for a challenge this week, take one–or both!–of these Unstackables and let us know if they make your favorites list next week!

Thank you!
