What is the Make an Impact Award?
The AAS Make An Impact Award is given to an influential person with a significant platform that raises awareness to reduce the stigma associated with mental health, suicide prevention, and suicide ideation. Kendall is a Peloton fitness instructor and a mental health advocate. She has shared her personal story of mental health struggles and inspires people to prioritize their physical and mental well-being.
Kendall Has Certainly Made an Impact
Kendall’s willingness to share her personal experience with mental health and suicide ideation has helped to reduce the stigma associated with seeking help. Leeann Sherman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of AAS said, “Kendall has used her platform to talk about mental health and inspire so many people to live their best lives. It is our honor to recognize Kendall for her bravery and willingness to share her story.”
The Make an Impact Award Ceremony
The award will be presented at the 2023 World Suicide Prevention Day Benefit in New York City on Sunday, September 10th. The event is being hosted by Maria Milito, a radio personality from Q104.3. It will provide AAS with the resources and education necessary to help communities across the country. The event will feature other special guests and acts that are yet to be announced. Attendees must be 21 years or older, and advance tickets cost $25 each ($35 at the door).
