Benny Adami’s HYROX Withdrawal Protects His Athletic Future

Last Updated: March 24, 2026By Tags: ,

Benny Adami’s HYROX withdrawal from London Olympia 2026 was announced on Instagram this week, and the Peloton German-language cycling instructor was refreshingly honest about why he is stepping back. The event runs March 24 through March 29 at Olympia London, making this a last-minute call, but one he made with clarity.

Why Benny Made This Call

In his Instagram post, Benny did not sugarcoat what was happening. “Next week I won’t be starting Hyrox in London as planned,” he wrote. “My body is pushing back. I’ve asked too much of it once again.”

He acknowledged the emotional weight of the decision, drawing on memories of a missed shot from 15 years ago and a one-centimeter margin in hammer throw that once separated winning from losing. These moments still stay with him. But rather than framing Benny Adami’s HYROX withdrawal as defeat, he chose to see it as a form of gratitude toward his own body.

“My body has carried me through so much,” he wrote. “That’s exactly why I’m making this decision.”

He also addressed the question of whether he could have pushed through. His answer: technically, maybe. But it would have cost too much. “I’m not willing to let that cost me my athletic career again,” he said.

He has not publicly disclosed the specific nature of his injury.

What Is HYROX London Olympia 2026?

For those new to the format, HYROX is a fitness racing competition that combines running with functional workout stations. Each race includes eight one-kilometer runs alternating with eight exercises, such as the sled push, ski erg, burpee broad jumps, and rowing. Athletes can compete across 12 divisions, including solo, doubles, and relay formats.

HYROX London Olympia 2026 runs six full days at Olympia London, one of the UK’s most iconic indoor venues. It is one of the flagship events on the global HYROX calendar, drawing thousands of competitors from across Europe and beyond.

Benny Adami’s HYROX Withdrawal: What His Racing Background Tells Us

Benny is no newcomer to this world. The Clip Out previously covered him training and racing alongside Robin Arzon, one of Peloton’s two Certified HYROX Performance Coaches. His participation in HYROX events puts him among a small group of Peloton instructors who personally race the format they coach members through.

That first-hand experience matters. Peloton’s 12-week HYROX Training Program is designed to help members prepare for their own competitions, and knowing their instructor has stood on the start line gives that coaching real credibility. Benny Adami’s HYROX withdrawal is a reminder of just how seriously he takes his racing, because he would not be stepping back unless the stakes for his long-term health were genuinely high.

What Comes Next for Benny

Benny has not announced a revised race schedule or a target return date. He continues to teach on the Peloton platform and remains active on Instagram. Members who want to support him can catch his upcoming 30-minute Dein Konzert: Sing Along Ride, live on Saturday, March 28 at 10:00 AM.

While Benny Adami’s HYROX withdrawal is disappointing for fans hoping to see him race in London, it is clear he is making the right call for his future. We wish Benny a full and speedy recovery. We can’t wait to catch him back on the bike in the meantime, and we’ll be cheering him on whenever he’s ready to toe the start line again.
