What your favorite instructor Says About You: British Edition

What Does Your Favorite Peloton Instructor Say About You: British Edition

We’re back, with another chance to spot your favorite instructor and learn a little more about yourself! And this time, lest I be accused of being American-centric, we’re traveling across the Atlantic and checking in on our international fans (and, of course, our American Anglophiles!)

Hannah

No one quite knows what’s going on with you, but that’s really okay.

If your favorite instructor is Hannah Frankson, you’re cool. More specifically, when you were in high school, you were slightly mysterious, and people found you a little intimidating and whispered behind your back, but those who had the nerve to approach you came back going, “wait, she’s, like, REALLY nice!” You love a good bath product, like bubble bath, bath bombs, homemade soap from the lady at the farmers’ market, and have an extensive collection of shampoos for your every hair mood. Your older sibling has a vinyl collection, but you collect tape cassettes, and your favorite era for music is the late 80s-mid 90s. You love anything that glows in the dark and are considering installing a few blacklights around your house. People mistake you for various random celebrities all the time, but they also mistake you for people they know- you spend a lot of time wondering how you should respond when strangers come up, say “Hey, Jessica,” and start asking about your kids… because your name’s not Jessica, and you don’t have kids. You’re an enigma, a puzzle, a self-contradictory riddle wrapped in just a little bit of mysticism, so if you need to take a step back from all that, try grounding yourself with some nice practical coaching in a very down-to-earth Matt Wilpers Form & Drills Row.

Jermaine

Natural light is your best light.

If your favorite instructor is Jermaine Johnson, you get exceedingly frustrated when anyone reminds you of the importance of dental flossing, because they’re ignoring the fact that you’ve been the ultra-champion of taking care of your teeth since an unusually young age. How dare they? A good party features planned activities like board games, lawn darts, or a fully-costumed murder mystery (if it’s a pool party, it involves Marco Polo, and you’ll supply squirt guns.) Growing up, you spent a lot of time with your grandparents, which means you appreciate some of the finer things in life such as 4:30 pm dinners, bingo, and homemade cookies. You speak two languages but have trouble switching between them. Your grandparents also got you started on a collection you’ve had since childhood- something like rubber ducks, keychains with your name, original Star Wars action figures, crystals, or postcards from places you want to go- and you continue to collect as an adult, and even geek out on some obscure corner of the internet where your collection is considered professional-level. You probably also cheerfully lift a ton of weights, so consider flushing out your muscles from time to time with something like a Hannah Corbin Recovery Ride.

Leeanne

There is NOTHING wrong with knowing your best selfie angle.

If your favorite instructor is Leeanne Hainsby and someone would like to date you, first they have to be certain to impress your circle of best mates. You’ll do anything to prevent foot germs from spreading in a public locker room, even if that means wearing socks into a shower. Ghosts visit you from time to time because they know you’re not afraid of them- you also really dig those shows where people go hunting for them, and secretly are considering reaching out to one of their producers to see if you could help. If you happen to be a man, there’s a 90% chance you’ve been described as someone’s golden retriever boyfriend. You’re a little bit outdoorsy, but that’s more picnic-outdoorsy than camping-outdoorsy, because as previously noted, you don’t really like getting your feet dirty.  You tend to be curious about the world around you- not so much people, but the literal world. Why does the sun rise just in that spot? What would happen if you added homemade compost to your boyfriend’s mom’s garden? How do rocks smooth out in a lake that’s not even moving? Rest your brain and tune out the world once in a while- a Jess King Sweat Steady Ride will help with that.

Ben

“Oh, he looks like such a nice boy.” -Everyone’s Mom

If your favorite instructor is Ben Alldis, you’re an excellent cook and you use that skill to impress potential romantic partners, but you feel just a little guilty about it because you really want them to love you for YOU, not just for your hand-tossed pizza. You’re extremely close with your parents and whenever you visit them, you go straight to the garden to help Mom harvest whatever she’s growing that season and help Dad trim back the bushes. (Only a little ulterior motive here… you go home with fresh zucchinis and bell peppers to cook with, and you feel just a little guilty about that as well, since you’d totally help even without garden-fresh produce.) You thrive on routine and regularity, and use a wall calendar, a desk calendar AND a calendar app (all for slightly different purposes, of course.)  Generosity is big with you- not only do you feed people, but you regularly donate blood, stop by the shelter to walk dogs, and sign up yearly to buy a holiday gift for a child you don’t know (and you love picking out the perfect toy for a 3 year old OR game for a 14 year old you’ll  never meet.) Try breaking out of your normal routine with a different workout- maybe this Country HIIT Cardio with Logan would be what you need to cut loose?

Joslyn

Glam’s not your default mode, but when you do it, you do it right.

If your favorite instructor is Joslyn Thompson Rule, you really like anime. It’s not a secret, but no one really knows since no one would think to ever ask you about it (and you sort of wish they would.) Things that are worth the effort for you include long-distance runs, making your own sushi at home the RIGHT way, and watching YouTube videos to learn how to fold napkins and towels into animal shapes for your kids (or so you say, because really it’s for you.) People tell you their life stories constantly, even if you haven’t asked- something about your smile makes you seem super trustworthy. Halloween is your favorite holiday- even if you’re not the one to wear the most elaborate costume or hit a crazy themed party, nothing brings you happiness quite like colorful characters, candy everywhere, and kids knocking on your door (and yes, you did get the 12 foot skeleton, and his name is Pete.) You’re maybe just a little quieter than average, and that’s not a bad thing, because it’s sort of fun being underestimated. If you’re ready to be just slightly more dramatic than usual this weekend, give one of the workouts from Callie’s Soundtrack Strength Club a try.

Loved all the requests last time we did this– promise I’ll get to them!
