“The Reset” – Peloton’s Next New Class Type? A Second Clue!

Is “The Reset” a New Class Type for Peloton?

The Reset may be a new class format Peloton may be building, and the social media activity around it is generating real excitement. No official announcement has been made, but short videos from two instructors are circulating, the community response has been strong, and the concept is gaining traction fast. Katie Wang is the latest instructor to share content connected to The Reset, and what she posted has members asking for more.

What We Know About The Reset So Far

No official word has come from Peloton about The Reset. What exists right now is a series of short social media videos from instructors that point toward something new taking shape.

The concept appears to be a short, focused class format designed to address the physical effects of prolonged sitting and screen time. The idea positions Peloton as something members can reach for during their workday, not just during a dedicated workout session. A mat and the Peloton app appear to be all that would be needed, which would make it one of the more accessible formats the platform has offered.

Andy Speer was the first instructor to share content around The Reset earlier in March 2026. For full details on what Speer shared, The Clip Out has that story here.

What Katie Wang Posted

Katie Wang is now the second instructor to share content connected to The Reset, posting a short video through Peloton’s Instagram that got straight to the point.

Rather than a broad overview, Wang identified three specific things that many members may not realise they are getting wrong with their core training:

  • Bracing incorrectly. Most people have a version of bracing that feels right but is not actually working effectively.
  • Training in only one range of motion. Core work that only moves in one direction leaves real gaps in strength and stability.
  • Missing anti-rotation work. One of the most overlooked elements of functional core training, and Wang is putting it front and center.

The through line is functional core training, teaching the core to perform the way it needs to in real, everyday movement. The comments reflected genuine enthusiasm, with members asking for more videos like it. That kind of organic response is hard to manufacture.

Why Wang Is a Natural Fit for This Content

Wang is a rowing and strength instructor whose coaching style is built around efficiency, power, and movement quality. Rowing is a full-body discipline that relies heavily on anti-rotation strength and precise bracing mechanics, which means the themes she is bringing to The Reset sit right at the center of how she already teaches.

Her version of this content is not a departure from her coaching identity. It is a direct expression of it, applied to a format built for accessibility rather than intensity.

Two Instructors, Two Disciplines, One Format

The fact that both Speer and Wang are sharing content around The Reset within the same month is worth noting. They come from different coaching backgrounds and bring different movement vocabularies to the same concept.

Here is why that matters:

  • It suggests The Reset, if it does launch officially, is being developed with a range of instructors and disciplines in mind rather than sitting within one lane.
  • Two instructors sharing content independently points to something more coordinated than a one-off social post.
  • The community response to both videos indicates the appetite for this kind of content is already there, before any formal launch has taken place.

Three Things Worth Knowing About Katie Wang

  • Katie Wang spent more than five years at Barry’s Bootcamp before joining Peloton, where she has built a following across rowing and strength disciplines.
  • Wang is headlining the 2026 Faces of Fitness Festival in Chicago alongside Adrian Williams and Jess Sims, teaching a bodyweight strength class on the main stage.
  • Her row bootcamp classes are among the more technically focused offerings in the Peloton library, with a consistent emphasis on form, mechanics, and movement efficiency.

Worth Watching

Nothing is official yet. Peloton has not confirmed The Reset as a class type, and no launch date exists. But two instructors sharing focused, well-received content around the same concept in the same month is a signal that something is in motion. If The Reset does become a formal part of the Peloton platform, the groundwork is already being laid, and the community is already paying attention.
