NYC Peloton Studios Closure for Winter Storm; London Classes to Continue
Peloton Studios New York (PSNY) will close on Monday, Feb. 23, due to the severe winter storm impacting the Northeast. The Peloton Studios closure was confirmed via social media, stating that no live classes will take place at the New York facility during the weather event.
While operations at the Manhattan studio are paused, the company announced that live classes will continue to be recorded and broadcast from Peloton Studios London. Despite the Peloton Studios closure in the U.S., members will have access to the U.K.-based live schedule and new on-demand content drops released throughout the day.
The closure comes as a major nor’easter intensifies off the coast, prompting officials to declare a state of emergency across the region.

Severe Weather Forecast for New York City
Meteorologists predict the storm will bring blizzard conditions to the New York City metro area starting Sunday evening and continuing through Monday. The National Weather Service forecasts snowfall totals between 18 and 22 inches for the city, necessitating the Peloton Studios closure for member and staff safety. Some models suggest accumulation could reach two feet.
Snowfall rates are expected to reach 2 to 3 inches per hour at the storm’s peak, significantly reducing visibility. The heavy snow will be accompanied by strong winds, with gusts forecast between 50 and 60 mph along the coast. These conditions have created a high risk of power outages and impossible travel conditions.
Emergency Measures in Effect
New York Governor Kathy Hochul has declared a state of emergency for more than 20 counties, including New York City, activating the National Weather Service to assist with response efforts.
In anticipation of the deteriorating conditions, New York City officials have implemented a travel ban for non-essential vehicles. The ban takes effect at 9:00 p.m. Sunday and is scheduled to remain in place until noon on Monday. Public schools in the city have also cancelled classes for Monday.
Peloton has not yet announced when normal operations at PSNY are expected to resume following the Peloton Studios closure. Members are encouraged to check the schedule for the most up-to-date information on class availability.
