Peloton Removes Stranger Things Classes From Library
Peloton to Remove Stranger Things Classes from On Demand on Feb 28
Peloton will remove its Stranger Things-themed classes from the on-demand library on February 28, 2026, marking the end of this collaboration. Members have until then to take these workouts, which have been especially popular among fans of the Netflix series. The approaching removal marks the close of a creative arrangement that brought the show’s signature atmosphere to Peloton’s digital platform, blending pop culture and fitness for a limited window. It was also one of Benny’s proudest moments at Peloton!
The Stranger Things Workout Experience
Peloton’s partnership with Netflix on the Stranger Things series was widely noted when the classes launched. Designed to coincide with the final season of the series, a set of Stranger Things-themed workouts arrived on the platform last November, led by Bradley Rose and Benny Adami at PSL.

It’s important to distinguish the unique effort that went into Benny Adami’s Stranger Things ride. Unlike Bradley’s ride, which featured signature tracks, expert coaching, and was fun in its own way, Benny’s ride received special production treatment. That workout included custom visuals, audio overlays, and instructor commentary that referenced the storylines and characters from the show. Benny crafted the ride to immerse participants more directly in the world of the show, with subtle nods to major plot points and a soundtrack curated for both energy and thematic relevance.
We spotlighted Benny’s creativity several times last year, including in our Top Music Moments of 2025 article. Read more here.

Understanding the Stranger Things Phenomenon
Debuting in 2016, Stranger Things quickly established itself as a touchstone in 21st-century television, blending genres with precision. Its success is rooted in a careful balancing act, incorporating 1980s nostalgia, science fiction, supernatural horror, and coming-of-age themes. The show’s setting, in small-town Indiana, is as essential as its plot, providing a retro, nearly mythic backdrop that resonates across generations.
Cultural references abound in the show, drawing from classic cinema, music, board games, and technology of the era. This resonance is part of what made the Peloton collaboration an easy fit; both brands value a sense of shared experience and community. The impact of Stranger Things stretches beyond media: its influence shows up in fashion trends, synth-driven music revivals, digital campaigns, and more.
- The Stranger Things universe continues on stage
- And in speculation on screen
Looking ahead, the larger Stranger Things universe continues to expand. A stage show, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, brings the origin story to life with a new perspective. And there is speculation that a Netflix movie may be in the works for a future date, according to Deuxmoi.
Why Peloton Removes Some Classes
The sunsetting of the Stranger Things classes is likely a result of how Peloton manages content partnerships and licenses. Many high-profile or themed offerings, especially those tied to major entertainment brands, depend on strict content licensing. When Peloton negotiates access to a brand’s intellectual property, it often secures only temporary rights. Music tracks, brand imagery, and references can only be used as long as these agreements are active.
When licenses expire, Peloton is obligated to remove affected content from its platform. This ensures compliance with the terms set by rights holders, but it also means members can only enjoy these experiences for a limited time.
This cycle of rotating content allows Peloton to offer members a mix of evergreen workouts and exclusive experiences, all while staying agile in a complex licensing landscape. The Stranger Things classes, enjoyed by thousands, are the latest example of this approach. Members who wish to revisit Hawkins, Indiana, through Peloton have until February 28, 2026, before these workouts are officially retired.
