Peloton announced on December 20, 2023, that they would be ending support for their First Generation v1 Bike tablet. If you own this tablet, you need to take action before June 19, 2024, or you will lose access to Peloton content.
Identifying First Generation v1 Bike Tablets
If you aren’t sure whether you own a First Generation v1 Bike tablet, you can find out by checking the serial number on the back of the console or by navigating to the device settings on your tablet and clicking on the “About Tablet” and “Status” options. Gen1 tablet serial numbers start with 7201. Eligible Members should also have received an email from Peloton with details about the change as well as information about a trade-in offer.
Peloton is offering impacted Members the opportunity to trade in their original Bike for an upgrade to the Bike+ or to upgrade their tablet at a discounted price until June 19, 2024. To redeem the Bike+ trade-in offer, members need to submit a request through the link provided in the email. You can also access the link provided on the Peloton Support page dedicated to this issue.
What Happens if You Do Nothing?
If you choose not to upgrade your tablet, you will lose access to Peloton content after June 19, 2024. You will still be able to use the Just Ride feature on your hardware but will be locked out of all of the other content and features that Peloton offers.
For more information, please check Peloton’s First Generation Touchscreen support page.
