An Entire Decade with Cody Rigsby

Congratulations are in order for everyone’s favorite Boo, Cody Rigsby, as he celebrates 10 years with Peloton!  Cody, a self-proclaimed opinionated homosexual, has and continues to bring us great workouts, fun celebrity gossip, but most importantly, endless laughter on the bike and on the mat.  He’s the best friend we’ve always wanted, can look to to brighten any day, and we’ve now known him for ten. whole. years!  To help celebrate, we’re taking a look back at some highlights of Boo’s time with Peloton.

Back in 2015, just a year after beginning with Peloton, Cody brought us the very first Pride ride featuring DJ John Michael.  As the years progressed, members have come to expect and look forward the the Pride series that are released each year, and we have Cody to thank for bringing us our very first feel-good Pride ride!

While many associate Cody with his exciting workouts and candid comments, he actually has a very soothing voice when he tines things down a bit. Members were thrilled to welcome Cody to the meditation team in 2020.

After the pandemic boom and Peloton’s sales and memberships took a huge jump, Cody became even more popular and recognizable not only in the Peloverse, but even in everyday life.  This led to him competing and placing third on Dancing with the Stars.  He and partner Cheryl Burke, a wonderful match, marched their way through the dances each week, being carried by millions of Peloton members. Although Cody and Cheryl came up shy of the mirror ball, he’s always a champion in our eyes!

Cody has had some great series over the years (Xoxo Cody, anyone?), most of which develop a cult following.  One such series, LOL Cody, which feature rides with a steady-state approach (think of them more as Low Impact or Recovery rides), bring in a celebrity each ride for a small interview.  Cody’s star status really sunk in when he had none other than queen diva herself, Mariah Carey, on LOL Cody!

Just last year, Cody released his book titled Xoxo Cody, An Opinionated Homosexual’s Guide to Self-Love, Relationships, and Tactful Pettiness.  He went on a book tour and his book has over four stars on Goodreads.  Cody’s ability to be entertaining when he need to be, serious when he needs to be, and honest when he need to be is evident in his book, and what makes him such a well-loved and well-rounded individual.

Cody, we’ve loved every second of the ten years you’ve given Peloton so far, and we look forward to (hopefully 10+) more!  With contract negotiations recently occurring for instructions (resulting in the departure of three well-loved favorites), Cody took Instagram to let us know that he renewed his contract and isn’t going anywhere.  This was certainly music to our ears and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for our Boo.  Congratulations on ten years, Cody – you make us smile when we most need it!
