The Rise of Unofficial Strength Programming at Peloton

The Rise of Unofficial Strength Programming at Peloton

Peloton has no shortage of official Programs and Collections for members seeking structured strength routines. However, a trend is building steam that’s capturing the attention of the community: Unofficial Strength Programming. These instructor-led, self-curated plans offer flexibility, creativity, and a personal touch that’s resonating with members. From Andy Speer’s much-needed 2025 Density Deload to Joslyn Thompson Rule’s 2026 year-long strength split, let’s explore how these unofficial offerings are reshaping the Peloton experience. And we’ll tell you about a new one you won’t want to miss!

Unofficial Strength TS60 x Density March 2026

Andy Speer’s March 2026 TS60 Block: A New Era of Strength Training

Fans of Andy Speer may already be on board with his weekly TS60 class blocks, his high quality Programs like Density, and the fan-based weekly Trifecta class planning (for much more about all of these, please read this article). But now… beginning March 2026… something exciting is happening: the current TS60 Block will incorporate classes not only from the TS60 Library, but also specific classes from Density!

But wait, there’s more! This extra-long 6-week TS60 Block also includes a Benchmark at Week 1 and a Test at Week 6! Just like an Official Program!

If you are new to this world (or just want to have a little more structure), this will be time well spent. Over the next 6 weeks, the classes will include a Live TS60 on Sundays, a class from Density, and an older TS60 (these classes are already chosen and detailed in the graphics provided by Andy and his fan group). The focus is on pure strength (as opposed to conditioning) and the goal at the end of the 6 weeks, at the Test, will be not to increase reps but to do basically the same reps but with 5 or 10 pounds heavier. Just like we did with Density, but.. it’s during a TS60!

Andy has worked with Chad, one of the admins of his fan group, Andy’s Speerheads and Total Strength Crew (recently his two groups combined to a single account), on creating this crossover programming. Incorporating member interests has long been on Andy’s radar, and this is already sounding like a big hit. He recently took to his IG to answer questions about getting started.

More Unofficial Strength Programming to Try

joslyn’s unofficial split plans for 2026 Each month’s Monday live strength classes are designed as a bigger-picture program that can be followed as a 3-day-per-week plan for 4–6 weeks (or longer). unofficial strength split

Joslyn Thompson Rule’s Unofficial Strength Split

Jos has taken her strength programming to the next level with her Unofficial Strength Split. Initially launched in January 2026, this program has evolved into a year-long strategy. Each month, Joslyn’s Monday live classes are designed to form a cohesive weekly split, focusing on progressive overload and functional strength.

The split includes:

  • Day 1: Full Body Foundations, emphasizing stability and multi-directional movements.
  • Day 2: Upper Body Mechanics, paired with core work for a balanced approach.
  • Day 3: Lower Body Power, targeting glutes, legs, and single-leg stability.

This structure allows members to repeat and build upon the classes over 4–6 weeks, making it a perfect fit for those seeking consistency and measurable progress. Joslyn’s coaching style, known for its technique-focused and supportive approach, has made this program a favorite among members.

The Unofficial Movement: More Options for Members

Peloton’s unofficial programming isn’t limited to Joslyn and Andy. Other instructors have also embraced this trend, offering unique and flexible options:

The HiLit Program: An Official Member Favorite with Unofficial Vibes

Peloton’s HiLit (High-Intensity Low-Impact Training) program has been a game-changer for members looking for effective yet joint-friendly workouts. This program combines high-intensity exercises with low-impact movements, making it accessible to a wide range of fitness levels. Members have praised HiLit for its versatility, offering everything from strength training to cardio, all while minimizing strain on the body.

While this is an official Peloton program. Rebecca designed it holistically and clearly. Members knew what to do every day, and she communicated with them ongoing through her IG. Unlike other Peloton Programs which get dropped in the Library and then are just left there for members to take or not, the interactivity of Rebecca’s involvement really gave this more of an “unofficial” feel, and added the the community aspect of member-driven activities.

TCO Helper Bee Liz took the program and said it deserved all its high praise. Read her review here.

Why Unofficial Programming Matters

Unofficial programming highlights the importance of listening to what members truly want. These programs reflect a deep understanding of the community’s needs, with instructors engaging directly with members through platforms like Instagram to share their plans and gather feedback. This level of interaction fosters a stronger connection between instructors and members, creating a sense of collaboration and shared purpose.

As Peloton evolves, it’s worth wondering if platforms like their Teams could eventually replace Instagram as the go-to space for these interactions. A dedicated, integrated spot could provide an even more seamless way for instructors to share unofficial programming, interact with members, and build a thriving, engaged community. We see this with some of their programming, but it’s not there yet.

Do you like Unofficial Strength Programming? Do you engage with instructors on Teams or Instagram to get this input?
