This and That from the Peloverse, Week of April 29
Welcome to this week’s edition of This and That From the Peloverse! Here’s a wrap up of some of the smaller things that you might have missed, but things that caught our eye nevertheless.
Core Every Day in May
Matty and his Maggicmakers have cooked up a core challenge for the month of May. The class selection is up to you, but Matty will make a class suggestion every evening in his Instagram stories for something to take the following day. Wanna play along? Head over to Matty’s IG and click on the Core Every Day highlight to screenshot your May calendar. No biggie that we’re a week into the month–that’s still three weeks of work you can get in!

Legendary Climbs, Now With a Badge
That Legendary Climbs series with CDE is going to be hard, y’all, and anyone who completes it definitely deserves an award (reward??). Sadly, you won’t get a medal, but you will now get a badge if you take the classes! Upside: your cooked legs won’t have to walk up to a podium to get it.
Indie Rock Ride
Speaking of Christine, if Indie Rock is your thing, join her on the bike Sunday, May 5 at 2:00pm (ET) for a Judah & the Lion, or catch it in the On Demand library. CDE co-curated the playlist for this class with the American Folk band, so, while not an official Artist Series, the musicians did have a hand in choosing what you will hear during the class. Don’t worry, no actual lions will be involved. Probably. Unfamiliar with the band? You know I’m going to link a playlist for you. Enjoy!
It’s Benny. It’s Hardstyle EDM. Fun Will Be Had. Plus More New German Content
Loads of new German content either dropped this week or will be dropping soon. But, one thing in particular caught our eye–it appears that Benny will be teaching his first Hardstyle EDM class. Jess King first brought this style to the Peloton platform a few months ago and now it’s time for Benny to take a crack at it. What is hardstyle EDM? Don’t worry, I Googled, so you don’t have to. According to Wikipedia, “Hardstyle is an electronic dance genre that emerged in the late 1990s, with origins in the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. Hardstyle mixes influences from techno, new beat and hardcore.” And, according to Reddit, Hardstyle enthusiasts hate it when their music is called EDM. So don’t do that. But!! Do count yourself in for this class with Benny on the 6th of May.
