CVV’s Real Routes Series Gets Personal With a New Paris Mountain Ride
CVV Brings Peloton Real Routes to His Own Backyard
The next Peloton Real Routes ride from Christian Vande Velde is heading to Paris Mountain State Park in South Carolina, just north of Greenville, where CVV lives and trains. The class is officially titled “45 min Real Routes: Paris Mountain” and is scheduled as an Encore class on Wednesday, March 11 at 6:30 AM, but it will drop On Demand at midnight.
How the Real Routes Series Got Started
The Peloton Real Routes series launched in October 2024 with a ride up the Col du Galibier, a legendary Tour de France climb in the French Alps. Since then, the collection has grown with additional entries, all built around routes from CVV’s professional racing career. You can read more about how the series came together in The Clip Out’s original Real Routes coverage.
The Paris Mountain addition marks a different kind of entry for the collection. Rather than pulling from the archive of pro racing routes, this one reflects where CVV actually rides today.

What to Expect at Paris Mountain State Park
Paris Mountain State Park sits five miles north of Greenville and is one of the most popular cycling destinations in the region. The park covers around 1,540 acres of forested ridges, quiet lakes, and historic terrain. The top-rated trail for mountain biking is the Sulphur Springs Trail, a 4.0-mile route with 672 feet of elevation gain. For riders looking for more IRL distance, the Paris Mountain Big Loop stretches over 10 miles. The terrain is wooded and rolling, a very different character from the high-alpine grades that have defined the Real Routes collection so far.

What Makes This Real Routes Addition Stand Out
The Real Routes format puts riders inside a simulated version of an actual route, following CVV through the terrain with scenery and a resistance profile built to match the real geography. For members who have ridden the series since its debut, Paris Mountain is a new kind of entry point. It shifts the frame from “ride where the pros raced” to “ride where CVV actually rides,” which carries its own appeal for anyone who has followed his return to Peloton. For more background on CVV’s history with the platform, see The Clip Out’s coverage of his return.
