Progression Rides Collection

Peloton’s Progression Rides Collection

Last Updated: February 23, 2026By Tags: ,

Peloton offers Progression Rides, a series of workouts designed to help members build aerobic endurance through gradual, controlled effort. While the collection is called Progression Rides, the individual classes are labeled as Progressive Push.

A wide range of instructors leads these classes, so you can stick with a favorite or try someone new. Instructors include Hannah Frankson, Ally Love, Benny Adami, Leanne Hainsby-Aldis, Bradley Rose, Emma Lovewell, Erik Jäger, Tunde Oyeneyin, Mila Lazar, Robin Arzón, and Sam Yo. Classes run in English and German and last between 30 and 45 minutes.

The collection shifts focus away from all-out effort and high intensity. Instead, riders work on steady progress and consistency. Each workout leads users through easy, moderate, and challenging segments so you stay in control and never feel breathless.

The Progression Ride builds capacity over time. You won’t push for maximum output in one session. Riders start in a calm state and establish a comfortable baseline. Then, you move into a moderate effort. This stage balances comfort and light challenge to get you ready for the next step. As one member said after taking a progression ride, “These will be a big hit for riders who like predictability and a little more control than the Power Zone rides give.”

The last phase of each workout is a controlled but tough push. You hold a higher effort and keep your form steady. This approach helps you get stronger and builds aerobic fitness in a steady, deliberate way.

The Structure of Progression Rides

The Progression Ride uses a clear three-part structure. Each workout blends intervals of effort with active recoveries. These recovery periods give your body a reset before the next push. This plan keeps you moving, lets you finish strong, and helps you get the most from each ride.

These workouts take you through a clear sequence:

  1. Easy Effort: The session begins with a low-intensity segment to warm up the body and establish a comfortable pace.
  2. Moderate Effort: The intensity increases to a sustainable, moderate level. This phase aims to elevate the heart rate and engage muscles without causing strain.
  3. Challenging Effort: The final push involves a controlled, high-effort interval that challenges endurance while remaining manageable.

This system uses gradual increases and active recovery to boost stamina. You learn to manage your energy at every stage. Moving through easy, moderate, and challenging levels helps you better understand your fitness. You gain steady, measurable progress. The workout keeps control and consistency at the center of every ride.  You can read The Clip Out Review of the first Progression Ride here.

Building Aerobic Endurance with Progression Rides

The Progression Ride focuses on building aerobic endurance. You’ll train your body to keep going for longer instead of just sprinting through short, tough bursts. These classes strengthen your heart and boost your overall fitness with steady, progressive effort.

Control matters in every ride. Instructors show you how to set your pace and pick the right resistance. Even during the hardest parts, you keep good form and stay safe. You feel each effort but never get breathless or worn out. This approach builds both confidence and consistency in your training.

This collection works for all fitness levels. It gives you a clear plan to boost your endurance. Peloton makes steady progress easier to reach with this structure. The format lets you track results as each session gets more comfortable. Progression Ride stands out from Peloton’s high-intensity and power-based options, offering a new way to train.
