Peloton’s Newest Artist Series Features FatBoy Slim

Peloton will be dropping several classes featuring the catchy music of DJ, musician, and producer Fatboy Slim (also known as Norman Quentin – which seems like a weird piece of trivia that only Tom O’Keefe would have known) – all are premiering on February 29th and will be available on demand for you to enjoy. Fatboy Slim’s music was popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s and is a mashup of dub, reggae, and blues.   Along with touring, Fatboy Slim has performed at many festivals, as well as the 2012 Summer Olympics ( where he rose out of a party bus on a giant inflatable octopus) and assumedly a slightly more subdued entrance to perform at the House of Commons in Westminster, London.

The classes include:

  • 20-minute Full Body Strength with Jermaine Johnson
  • 30-minute Ride with Mila Lazar (German)
  • 30-minute Run with Jon Hosking
  • 30-minute Ride with Ben Alldis
  • 30-minute Yoga Conditioning with Kirra Michel
  • 30-minute Ride with Ben Aldis

And by the way, what does Fatboy Slim mean – it must mean something very deep and mysterious, right?  Fatboy Slim says it means ….. nothing.  He says he’s told many lies over the years about how he came up with the name, but admits it’s just an “oxymoron” and is goofy and ironic, and that he picked it from a list of potential band names he wrote down when he was drunk.  We say – carry on – and we’ll Praise You (like we should) as we bike, run, lift, and more!
