Peloton Quietly Rolls Out New Member-Blocking and Tag-Hiding Leaderboard Feature
Over the last several days, Peloton has quietly introduced a new feature that allows Members to edit who and what they see on the leaderboard in Peloton classes. Members will now be able to curate their Leaderboard both by blocking other Members or hiding Leaderboard Tags that they object to.
For the most part, the Peloton Leaderboard tends to be fairly anonymous, with only basic information available for the wandering eye to see (and Members are in control of what is shared). But, it’s not unheard of for someone to acquire a Pelo-stalker, either through a Pelo-group or in real life. And, while this feature might be mainly used to keep overzealous high-fivers at bay (you know who you are), we are thrilled to see that Peloton has added this layer of protection for people who truly need to feel that extra bit of safety while working out. Because, creepers gonna creep, y’all.
We’ve reached out to Peloton and they have confirmed that this is a new feature and not a Beta test. To access this feature, tap on (the offending) Leaderboard name to open an individual window, tap the three dots in the top right of the screen and select the modification that best fits your needs. As with all Peloton feature rollouts, it may take some time for you to receive the update.
How do you feel about the addition of this feature?
