Crazy schedule? Try micro workouts!

Micro Workouts, Big Results: Tips from Nutrition Expert Angelo Poli

Are you struggling to find time for exercise? You’re not alone. Many people find it difficult to fit a workout into their busy schedules. But according to nutrition expert Angelo Poli from MetPro, exercise doesn’t have to take up a lot of time to be effective. In fact, short, frequent workouts can be just as beneficial as longer ones. Read on to learn Angelo’s recommendations for listener Sarah and explore actionable tips to help you fit working out into any schedule.

Short is Still Effective

Angelo suggests incorporating micro workouts into your routine. These are quick, 10-12 minute workouts that you can do at home or in a hotel room while traveling. By doing just a few of these each week, you’ll be able to stay consistent with your exercise routine and achieve better results.

In a study conducted by MetPro, it was found that clients who exercised regularly lost 33% more weight than those who did not, even when the amount of time spent exercising was taken into account. In other words, consistency is key. By doing a little bit of exercise every day, you’ll be able to maintain a healthy weight and improve your overall fitness.

Make Micro Workouts Work for You

So how do you get started with micro workouts? Angelo suggests doing basic exercises that work your larger muscle groups, such as pressing, pulling, and squatting motions. This could be as simple as doing a few sets of push-ups, pull-ups, and squats in your living room. The key is to raise your heart rate and sustain it for a few minutes.

If you’re unsure of what exercises to do, there are many resources available. Check out MetPro’s app, which offers over 650 workouts tailored to your fitness level and goals. Alternatively, you could find workout videos on YouTube or join a fitness class in your area, and of course, the Peloton app.

Finding time for exercise doesn’t have to be a daunting task. By incorporating simple, frequent workouts into your routine, you’ll be able to maintain your fitness and achieve your health goals. So what are you waiting for? Start moving!
