Earth, Wind & Fire Artist Series
It may not be September, but it is time for a new Peloton Artist Series- featuring Earth, Wind & Fire!
From Chicago to Peloton Studios
Earth, Wind & Fire is an American band founded in Chicago in 1969 by Maurice White, a seasoned session drummer. The band’s name originates from the three elements of White’s astrological sign. With a fusion of funk, R&B, soul and jazz, the band cultivated a signature sound that garnered 20 Grammy nominations and three wins. Earth, Wind & Fire’s songs preached exuberance and joy with a socially conscious message, being positive without being preachy. The band released its self-titled debut album in 1971, followed by hit albums such as “That’s the Way of the World” and “All ‘N All”. The band’s iconic live performances feature pyrotechnics, extravagant costumes and choreography, which contributed to its enduring appeal. Earth, Wind & Fire’s influence on pop music is undeniable, as their style has been embraced by many subsequent bands and artists. Today, their music continues to inspire and move fans all over the world.
