Celebrating Menopause at Peloton Studios New York: A Special Event
Celebrating Menopause at PSNY: A Re-Spin Partnership Event
January 17, 2026 was a very special day at PSNY for members who had taken part in the PRESS study, the result of a partnership between Peloton and Re-Spin Health. The study outcomes released last week were impressive, reporting that 84% of women who participated experienced an overall menopause symptom improvement. Click here to read more about the results.
The Special Event Format: Two Classes; a Panel; Plenty of Connections
The invitation-only event offered the opportunity to take 2 live classes in the studio – a 30 minute Sprint Interval Run with Susie Chan or a 45 minute Sprint Interval Ride with Christine D’Ercole. Some members were lucky enough to get into both. Following the classes there was a reception with small bites and mingling along with a panel discussion moderated by Christine. I was a participant in the study and happily attended this event to share all of the scoop.
Christine has discussed the importance of Sprint Interval Training (SIT) for some time, offering a few classes before the official menopause initiative at Peloton. Currently there are 12 rides to choose from in the library. SIT consists of short bursts of hard exercise (10-30 seconds) followed by longer recovery periods. The benefits of this training for midlife women are numerous including an increase in lean muscle mass, improvement in aerobic fitness and better cardiovascular health.
The Classes

Christine’s Sprint Interval Training Ride
Christine’s 45 minute SIT ride did not disappoint. She was thrilled to have PRESS participants and Re-Spin coaches in the room to celebrate that we are around to experience menopause. She vulnerably shared the confusion she felt when her midlife body could not always perform when racing, and as a result she is so invested in specialized menopause training content.
The SIT intervals started at 20 seconds, decreased to 15 seconds and ended with 10 seconds. Several riders had never taken the format before and her coaching was exquisite and her enthusiasm obvious. Halfway through class she asked if anyone was nauseous yet. Truth. These classes are not for the faint of heart. She reminded the group that a 45 minute class should be taken only one time per week, whereas a 20 or 30 minute class may be done twice a week.
As always she encouraged careful consideration of the words we use when we speak to ourselves, especially in the menopausal years. The room happily shouted along with her, “I am I can I will I do.” The playlist was full of empowering female artists including Alannis Morissette, Bones UK, Lady Gaga and P!nk.

Susie’s Sprint Interval Run – New!
Susie’s 30 minute Sprint Interval Run was the first of its kind on the platform. She highlighted the importance of celebrating that movement makes women feel better, especially in menopause. The roadmap included 5 intervals of 1 min easy run, 1 min moderate run and then all out hard pace for 30 seconds. She imparted many positive messages, with the most salient being the importance of not beating yourself up. What is critical is simply showing up as best you can and just keep moving. It’s also never too late to start something new. The playlist was motivating and inspiring featuring bangers from female artists like Pat Benatar, Sia, Shakira and Halsey.

The Panel Discussion with Re-Spin and Peloton
After a quick shower and some lovely chatter and a delightful spread of healthy snacks, it was time for the panel discussion with Christine and Susie, joined by Re-Spin leaders Dr Sarah de la Torre, CMO and Dr Elizabeth Knight, Head of Research. The information was extremely valuable, current and inspiring. There were even some exciting surprises. Here are the highlights:
- The beauty of the PRESS study was that it was done in the real world where women could do the components “imperfectly” and flexibly without lab controlled precision and it still worked and showed positive outcomes
- The study met women where they were with all their existing menopausal symptoms and life experience, and then gave education, specific movement types, and community support
- Menopause is many symptoms, day to day and head to toe, and there was improvement in just about every category they looked at
- Christine highlighted the necessity of giving ourselves grace, being kind in how we talk to ourselves and focus on having agency, especially during these years – sometimes we just need to skip the interval
- Susie joined Peloton at age 46 and was impressed with a company that wanted someone her age to join the team – they encouraged her to talk about her peri-menopausal experiences in her classes in an effort to normalize things for members
- Lifestyle choices – movement, nutrition, sleep, stress management, relationships and community – are critical to the menopausal years and Re-Spin offers individual plans to help clients go from point A to point B
- The partnership is powerful – Peloton brings the energy, momentum, motivation, community and special menopause classes and Re-Spin brings the coaching, education, and content
- Re-Spin looks forward to more research – taking a more individualized approach and studying what workouts we choose and how that impacts outcomes
- And drumroll please…. MORE CLASSES ARE COMING! Peloton will offer brand new Jump Training classes along with additional weighted vest programming, SIT rides and runs, and a member favorite – hikes on the Tread
- An audience member requested Pelvic Floor classes and the panel thought that was worth taking back for further discussion and consideration

The panel discussion ended by bringing to the front of the room the 5 coaches that worked with members during the 60 day study: Jessica Corwin, Monika Pierce, Maria Luque, Jill Foos and Darlene Thomas. In their comments they thanked members for sharing their stories and their vulnerability, creating a supportive and valuable community and being willing to try new things.
A Special Event That Resonated With Members
Last year was full of change at Peloton, including a renewed focus on health and wellness, with exercise being only one part of the equation. The menopause initiative and partnership with Re-Spin has clearly resonated with members.
I had an opportunity to chat with #Katebev44 and #My5cats, visiting PSNY from Massachusetts, who participated in the study. They enjoyed the good, sound advice provided by coaches, the informative webinars with expert speakers like Dr Vonda Wright and the validation and normalizing of individual experiences. Both had taken classes from the Menopause collection, mentioning Joslyn Thompson Rule’s strength class, Susie’s run/walk and Christine’s SIT training as standouts.
There is so much more to come from Peloton in 2026 as they grow their longevity programs and offer visibility to a life stage often under addressed in fitness offerings. At The Clip Out we are here for all of it and look forward to keeping you in the loop!
