Speaker 4: [00:00:00] It’s more than just your output, more than a bike. When you hear your shout out, you know it’s all right. Put on your magic pants and let’s go. We’re cruising into the power zone. Set yourself free. Come on.
Speaker 2: Welcome to the Clip Out Podcast, episode 4 47. This is Crystal O’Keefe,
Speaker: and this is Tom O’Keefe. So tragic moments in the household this morning when
Speaker 2: tragic,
Speaker: when the Fandango at Home app wouldn’t function,
Speaker 2: it froze.
Speaker: It just wouldn’t open,
Speaker 2: and we closed it and we turned off the television,
Speaker: did the hard reset on the tv.
I have, we have so many things on the Fandango at [00:01:00] Home app at this point.
Speaker 2: It’s, we had to watch a Judge Judy,
Speaker: we had to watch a Judge Judy. We’re trying to, we’re watching Dick, the Dick Van Dyke show.
Speaker 2: That’s our current, our current oldie show.
Speaker: Yes. And, uh, and I couldn’t get to it.
Speaker 2: It’s,
Speaker: ugh.
Speaker 2: And
Speaker: it wouldn’t open on like,
Speaker 2: way to
Speaker: start, I, it wouldn’t open on my phone either. I checked,
Speaker 2: so after you left the room, I decided to do a meditation. I usually do one of those every morning.
Speaker: Yeah. You, you normally need to do one when I’m gone.
Speaker 2: No,
Speaker: you’re like, oh, he’s gone. Hang on. I need to recenter my q or whatever that is.
Speaker 2: No that’s definitely not what’s driving it. But but uh, the Peloton app wouldn’t work. So I was like, okay, let me pull it up on the computer. That wouldn’t work either.
Speaker: I think there’s something wrong in the internet.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I got some ideas, but I’ll leave it alone
Speaker: because I do that bing thing every day where
Speaker 2: Yeah.
You get your little points.
Speaker: I can, if you use the Bing [00:02:00] app, you click on things and you can get. Points that you can redeem. Yeah. For like gift cards and stuff. I mean, I made a couple hundred dollars in Amazon gift cards Absolutely. Just by logging in and like click, click every morning and I’m done.
And um, and that wouldn’t function right either. So I think that in a few hours we’ll see a story about the
Speaker 2: cloud flares down
Speaker: or Right. Whatever, AWS service or whatever. Yeah.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker: So they just can’t tell you about it because it’s down.
Speaker 2: It’s down.
Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. So I’m just like, oh my God, we have so many.
Fandango can’t stop working.
Speaker 2: It’s like, you know, those little things matter.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: When, when everything is chaotic. Yes. So, uh, yeah, it’s not a great way to start the day. Is it important? No. Is it a third world or a first world problem? Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Absolutely. But, uh,
Speaker: oh, goodness. So. We will try to power through.
Speaker 2: We will.
Speaker: So, uh, what pray, tell do you have in store for people this week?
Speaker 2: I have to go read the little
Speaker: intro that you made. I know. Well, I did it last week. And you didn’t like it? [00:03:00]
Speaker 2: I didn’t say I didn’t like it. I was, I was in a really crabby mood and I was trying to I know you,
Speaker: I know what,
Speaker 2: oh. I’m trying so hard, like if people knew how much effort I tried to like put into not being a total bitch all the time, but god damn, the world sucks and I don’t know what you want me to do about it.
I’m doing my best. I’m doing my best. Okay, here.
Speaker: Okay, here we go. Here comes friendly chipper. Clip out Crystal
Speaker 2: this week on the podcast.
Speaker: Oh, stop that.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker: Yeah.
That’s enough of that.
Speaker 2: This week we’re diving into Pelotons potential partnership. It’s not really potential. It already happened. Yeah. Uh, with chat GPT Health and what C-E-U-C-E-O Peter Stern has to say about the future of Peloton, we’re covering all the latest news from hardware sighting. New hardware sightings rather.
Yeah. Uh, and program updates to major [00:04:00] marathon collaborations. Get ready for a deep dive into everything you need to know about the world of Peloton Fitness. I also feel like a couple of things that we need to mention is that there are things always developing. Like there are stuff happening daily, so sometimes like we’re gonna get into pretty soon, there’s, there’s things that aren’t on here that we have to cover.
Speaker: Yeah, for sure. Well, before we get to all that, yeah, shameless plugs. Don’t forget, we’re available on Apple Podcast, Spotify, iHeart. Tune in wherever you find a podcast. You can find us. But you already know that ’cause you’re here and you found us.
Speaker 2: Hi.
Speaker: But all the shows say it. We just, it’s the law. We’re required.
It’s the law. If not though, come pull us out of our cars. Um, and so, uh, while you’re there. Well, maybe leave us a review.
Speaker 2: That would be so kind. That’s,
Speaker: that’s helpful. You can also, uh, find us on Facebook, facebook.com/the clip out. Uh, while you’re there, like the page, there’s a group you can also join that’s got a little bit more activity.
It’s also easier for you to [00:05:00] start a conversation there. You post something on the page, who knows what the algorithm will do with it. Who
Speaker 2: knows,
Speaker: who knows. And then of course we have a Patreon. If, if you just can’t get enough of our witty banter there is more.
Speaker 2: Or you wanna hear the unfiltered version?
Speaker: Well, you wanna hear what we really think about things based on current polling. About 30% of you don’t. Uh, and that’s okay.
Speaker 2: It is.
Speaker: I mean, it’s not, but whatever. Uh, so we’re over on Patreon, patreon.com/the clip out. It’s $5 a month. Uh, you help out a little indie show.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker: Just doing it in our basement here.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker: Uh, we also record a show. And, uh, what we’re gonna be talking, oh, we also have you get an ad free episode every week. You get a bonus episode every week. And
Speaker 2: you get it early,
Speaker: you get it early, and you get our undying love and affection. What are we gonna be talking about over on the Patreon this week?
I’m glad you asked. The new old age, how people [00:06:00] living older but healthier is kind of reshaping American society.
Speaker 2: Huh
Speaker: Boutique fitness. Embraces the shout out, but also what happens when you get a shout out snub.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: It ain’t pretty.
Speaker: It is not pretty.
Speaker 2: Spoiler.
Speaker: And
Speaker 2: And it’s not just about Peloton.
Yeah. I wanna just point that out. This is a deep dive into all of this.
Speaker: I don’t even know if the article mentions Peloton. I don’t, perfectly honest. Don’t think that it does. It’s more about like real life ones. Exactly. And I’m like, you’re in a class of 30 people and you can’t get a shout out.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Right.
Your
Speaker: instructor is a.
I’m just putting it out there when there’s like 10,000 people in the class and you don’t get a shout out. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Not everybody can be caller 12,
Speaker 2: but, or even even hundreds. Like
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: It’s hard. It’s hard for people to, yeah, but,
Speaker: but like when you’re at the YMCA and you got a milestone and they, yeah.
Speaker 2: People don’t,
Speaker: anyway,
Speaker 2: people don’t realize how awesome those Peloton instructors are. Yeah. That get to the ones they get to.
Speaker: We also [00:07:00] got a story about the time NASA. Wanted to send a Peloton into space.
Speaker 2: This is fascinating, Laura. I did not know.
Speaker: Yeah,
Speaker 2: I love learning this stuff.
Speaker: There’s so little of that
Speaker 2: about Peloton.
Speaker: Well, yeah,
Speaker 2: there’s lots. I don’t know.
Speaker: Well, but Yeah, but not Peloton, Laura.
Speaker 2: No. There’s a lot up there.
Speaker: Yeah. Oh, I know. So, uh, anyway, that’s over in the Patreon. If you’d be so kind to join us. Lots of people have been jumping in and we greatly appreciate it. Yeah, we
Speaker 2: do.
Speaker: It’s
Speaker 2: so fun.
Speaker: Hopefully we are too. You’re liking.
So, uh, also we’re on YouTube, youtube.com/clip out. You can watch all these, uh, now in color. And then finally. Oh yeah, we have a newsletter. I’m like, I know there’s one more thing here. Uh, we got a newsletter, you can sign up for it@theclipout.com. You’ll get a mostly weekly newsletter. With the links and stuff and just a little, little tap on your shoulder.
You’re a little digital shoulder that says Hi. Remember us? So there’s all that. Let’s dig in. Shall we?
Speaker 2: We shall.
[00:08:00]
Speaker: Pelotons partnership with chat GPT has expanded to chat. GPT Health. If you don’t relinquish all of your medical records, your equipment will stop functioning.
Speaker 2: Oh my God. Please don’t tell people that
Speaker: you also now there you need to do a little. Stick and put a drop of blood into the Peloton sensor just so they can keep tabs on you.
It’s for your own good. Don’t ask any questions. If there’s one thing Americans need to understand, you
Speaker 2: must just pay.
Speaker: You must comply.
Speaker 2: That’s all you need to worry about. Yes. Don’t ask questions.
Speaker: They will drag you outta your tread Plus.
Speaker 2: Uh, yeah, so chat. GPT Health actually just launched this week. Like just the whole thing.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker 2: It’s brand new.
Speaker: Brand new
Speaker 2: and it has what could, could [00:09:00] possibly
Speaker: go wrong.
Speaker 2: Right. It has partnered with several different companies, including Apple Health, including Peloton. Mm-hmm. Lots of stuff are what’s different about this than chat GPT is that you actually. Give it your medical records.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker 2: So in a normal world, I probably wouldn’t have too many concerns about this because like, you know, you might have diabetes and you’re just trying to make sure that you’re doing all the things right, that you can be doing. And like, or maybe you’ve got some kind of like, when I got hit by a car, like, I broke a clavicle.
So like, what, what can I work on? What kind of exercises can I do? Traumatic brain injury, you know, these types things, right? But in today’s world I have concerns.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Anything can and will be held against you whether it’s true or not. Mm-hmm. So why put anything out there that, yeah. Okay.
I’m trying so hard. I’m trying so hard.
Speaker: This is what people are like, they’re so, for politics, how do you talk about this without making it political?
Speaker 2: [00:10:00] Yeah. I, I truly don’t know, but it, to me, this is really like, you need to be careful. Yeah. Like if you’re a woman of a certain age and maybe you are thinking about not having a baby, like, I don’t know that this is for you.
Um, because in our current day and age, like. That could be used against you. Yeah. If you, uh, are a person who is battling arthritis and you wanna do, like, this could be for you. This, so far, there’s nothing that works against you. But, um, if you have something like autism, this could be used against you
Speaker: potentially.
Speaker 2: Um, so you gotta be careful. And that really concerns me now. Now chat, GPT says. They have an extra layer of privacy and protection around this I trust. Yeah. Nothing.
Speaker: Yeah,
Speaker 2: They’re just going in and doing whatever the hell they want.
Speaker: We are completely protecting your data. We’re, it’s so secure.
We brought in the team that used to run Ashley [00:11:00] Madison to lock things down.
Speaker 2: Now that I might trust,
Speaker: I wouldn’t,
Speaker 2: I’m just joking. How
Speaker: many of those documentaries have we watched?
Speaker 2: Totally. But you know, with the world being what it is like I. I feel like you gotta be aware of the things that like, like there are so many groups just going in and taking the information that they want from anything.
Yeah. And all your financial information, all your whatever. So, I feel like since so many medical diagnoses can be used against you and, and even though they say they can’t legally, the, the law, the laws don’t matter. No. Anymore. So I personally would be real skeptical about using this.
Speaker: I would say just from the little bit I’ve read.
This is a super cool thing.
Speaker 2: It is.
Speaker: That I would never fucking do.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Like it, it’s super cool. Like it will tell you like, oh, if you’ve got this kind of problem, you should avoid this kind of workout. Yeah. Like, or you should focus on this. Like there are some amazing cool things that could come from this.
And I, [00:12:00] I saw several great examples of it right on chat. GPT Health’s Yeah. Website and, and they were good examples.
Speaker: Yeah. But no,
Speaker 2: but,
Speaker: but no.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Not, not for me. Yeah, not for me.
Speaker: No, thank you. Uh,
Speaker 2: I It’s not like I would judge anyone that would use
Speaker: it. No. I mean, if you, yeah, if you wanna do it, that’s you do you, it’s out there for you.
But like, man, just with the way things are trending, absolutely not.
Speaker 2: No. And our article, I feel it does a great job of, you know. Putting both sides out there. Yeah. And explaining
, I feel like we did a great job of asking questions without like, like. It’s asking questions. Yeah. You know, and one of the big things you need to think about too is an overreliance on AI when they chat, GPT can miss red flags.
And so you need to be careful about that. Don’t put too much trust in anything. People in anything use common sense. And for God’s sakes, please continue to use critical thinking, please.
Speaker: Well, I’ve said before [00:13:00] when it comes to ai, I think that, if AI is Google Maps, we are in our MapQuest era.
Speaker 2: Absolutely. Absolutely.
Speaker: There are still so many bugs to work out, so many things they don’t know. It will get better, but better can also mean worse. Absolutely. And so who knows?
Speaker 2: I don’t know.
Speaker: Yeah. So CEOs Peter Stern is addressing Pelotons future. He released a letter that normally doesn’t get released.
It’s not hidden, but it’s not like pushed out as publicly as this was.
Speaker 2: Well, not only that, he’s never done one. Yeah, like, like, okay, so, so let me explain. A shareholder letter comes out every time there is an earnings report. There is also a quarterly shareholder letter that gets posted on the investor website that is public.
Anybody can access that. And that’s. That’s the way the law works.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: When we’re following laws. Um, and, and Peloton has always abided by that. What’s different this time [00:14:00] is he did an annual letter, like a happy January, we’re starting from scratch. Right. And posted that on the investor site.
And it had nothing to do. It’s not linked to any earnings. Okay. So it was, it was completely not linked to anything. And yet, I feel that the timing is fascinating here because he basically says in the letter, he plans on doing this every year. He calls it the inaugural, you know, like, so it’s like
Speaker: his state of the union address.
Speaker 2: Yeah. And also I feel like. It’s marketing for Peloton. Sure. ’cause it was like, it was very obviously positive. I mean, these things are right. Never really negative.
Speaker: You never get a letter where they’re like, oh my God, what have we done?
Speaker 2: No, no. Uh, even when they should. And, um, and that’s not just Peloton, by the way.
Speaker: Yeah. That’s
Speaker 2: just
Speaker: the way the world works.
Speaker 2: But I also thought it was interesting because there was really no information in it that was brand new. Mm-hmm. It was all a rehash of the last earnings call.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker 2: So why are. [00:15:00] It just, it felt more marketing right. Than it felt any, anything. So like, and, and it also like indicated I’ll be back soon with more updates.
And I’m like, what does that mean? Like, like, you’ll be back for the next earnings call. Or like,
Speaker: yeah,
Speaker 2: you got some big news to share. You need to be a little clearer Mr. Stern, because I am not clear what this means. So, I thought it was just interesting. Yeah. That’s, that’s all. Yeah. It was just interesting.
Speaker: Speaking of interesting. Mm-hmm. A bench. Has been spotted
Speaker 2: mm-hmm.
Speaker: In a regular class.
Speaker 2: It has. And that is unique and a big deal for a couple of reasons. One, we have only seen a bench used in Peloton Strength in two places. One, a few programs like Indie Spears Total Strength.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker 2: Two on the Strength Plus platform.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker 2: That’s it. The other reason it’s interesting is Peloton has not been pushing their Strength Plus platform at all for a few months now. Just interesting.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: [00:16:00] And now we have a bench in a regular role, glutes and leg class. It was only 10 minutes. People of course, have to say things like, well, I want it to be a longer class.
Can anything happen without you saying, I want this? Like, no, apparently you cannot. But, um, it’s just interesting.
Speaker: Yeah,
Speaker 2: it’s just interesting and some people are oddly upset about it because they don’t have one and it’s like, you know, there’s like 10,000 other classes that don’t have a bench. Don’t take it
Speaker: and correct me if I’m, I mean, benches aren’t super expensive,
Speaker 2: right?
No, they’re not. Yeah. But some people just don’t have the room for it. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I mean, some people just. Do not have room.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: But no, but
Speaker: some people don’t have the room for a tread and they still have those classes.
Speaker 2: Right, right. Well just wait until we get to the high lit program. Oh, I got things to say about
Speaker: that too.
Oh dear. Okay. So, uh, Peloton has shuttered its Insights Lab. No more insights are to be had. They’ve had [00:17:00] every insightful thought they could ever possibly need, and they said. Farewell.
Speaker 2: They did
Speaker: fare the well.
Speaker 2: Now listen, this is actually. Fascinating. Yeah. Um, because they’ve been open for four years and what would happen is they would ask questions, people would answer them, depending on how active you were, you got points.
Those points could be resumed for clothing and things like that. And from what I have heard they have kind of stopped. They’d run outta questions like they were ing things. They were like, we don’t know what else to ask you.
Speaker: What do you think about peddling?
Speaker 2: And I feel like that says that a couple, uh, a couple things you could take from that.
One is that potentially this is an indicator. We’re not seeing anything new coming down the pipe for a little bit. Because they don’t. They don’t ask you any questions right. About anything now.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Now you could also look at it and say, they’re only gonna be working on new [00:18:00]stuff and they’re not gonna be focused on the stuff.
They’re not gonna be focused on improving the things they have and that they have different ways, like beta tests to work on new things. So you could look at it from either direction, I don’t know. Yeah. Which it is.
Speaker: Yeah. It could just be as simple as they have another way to get this information.
Speaker 2: They don’t need this. Absolutely. Absolutely. I thought it was interesting, especially because they also just shuttered their clothing affiliate program.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: In December, after also four years. It feels like these are the big picture that you should take away from this is they are trying to clamp down on anything that is not important to the very specific, specific running of the company.
Yeah. Yeah. That’s how I take it. So
Speaker: yeah, I think that’s fair. PSNY and PSL will host January run club events.
Speaker 2: Yes. The outdoor run clubs are back and they kind of took off for a few months [00:19:00]during the winter.
Speaker: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2: For obvious reasons. I don’t think I need to explain that to people. You never know though.
But in London it’s going to be taking place on January 21st with JJ and Marcel, and then in New York. It’s gonna be taking place on January 28th with Matt and this time. Check this out.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker 2: They actually gave us a link that worked.
Speaker: Oh,
Speaker 2: more than just a day.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: And didn’t just post it on stories. So that’s crazy.
Speaker: That’s feedback they got from the insight.
Speaker 2: And also there’s, um, there is a place that now it is showing on the studio booking site. This never happened before. Yeah. And now these classes are showing up on the studio booking site. I find that fascinating as well. Huh. I wish that I could talk to the people that made these decisions because I’m just like, why was it not always
Speaker: right?
Speaker 2: Like, and I’m sure there was a good reason. I, I just like to understand it.
Speaker: Right?
Speaker 2: You know, like, did they just not have the person available? Did they not know how did they not know how to build it themselves? Like, I’m
Speaker: not mad about it.
Speaker 2: No, I’m
Speaker: not [00:20:00] mad at you, bro. I just wanna know why.
Speaker 2: Fucking bitch.
Speaker: Speaking of running Peloton has teamed up with the Berlin. Half marathon.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Peloton has done, uh, a lot of the Berlin races in the past. This, I can’t remember if they did the half last year. I know they did the regular marathon. I don’t remember if they did the half. Uh, I know this will not shock anyone, but I don’t live in Berlin, so I’m not sure.
But this is really cool. They’re gonna have mates and Miles in Hamburg on January 18th and, uh, there’s gonna be surprises and goodie bags and great vibes, so. I highly recommend you register. You know what is fabulous about smaller cities like this compared to how popular it is in New York not as many people sign up for this step.
I was like, Berlin’s a big city. Berlin is a big city. I meant smaller from a Peloton standpoint. No, Berlin is. Obviously huge. Obviously huge. Yes. But when you get to go to a SA [00:21:00] smaller Peloton area Right. You get so much more access to the instructors. Yeah. You get to meet so many more people who are as like-minded as you.
Yeah. You guys already have something in common and it’s so fun. I highly recommend doing this like. When you go and you meet other people from the community.
Speaker: When we were in London, SAMO was just like working the juice bar glasses.
Speaker 2: He was not. He was not, but so delightful. He was, and we talked to him for so long.
He was, you guys have a lot in common.
Speaker: He gave us a theater recommendation that was top notch.
Speaker 2: Top notch,
Speaker: and I would’ve never chosen it on my own.
Speaker 2: If Sam Yo gives you a theater recommendation. By you. You have to stop you and do it. Just do it.
Speaker: Yeah,
Speaker 2: Just do it.
Speaker: Don’t ask questions.
Speaker 2: Just go,
Speaker: don’t Google,
Speaker 2: just go.
Speaker: You got Sam Yod. You don’t need to Google.
Speaker 2: You know the name of his group is Yes. Yo. Yes. Yo. We’ll go.
Speaker: So there’s a new pop-up store at Tyson’s Corner and Peloton gave us a little peek at [00:22:00]it.
Speaker 2: They did. And um. I know you’re thinking, well, there’s been a Tyson’s store. Tyson Scorner store forever.
Speaker: I just now really, when I hear Tyson, I’m, now, I’m just thinking about chicken tenders.
Speaker 2: That sounds right for you.
Speaker: Yeah,
Speaker 2: that sounds
Speaker: Wow. Chicken
Speaker 2: tenders. Okay. Well, I meant the rest of the Peloton world. I there chicken
Speaker: tenders.
Speaker 2: Tom’s on a cut right now. Yeah, there are. There are very few carbs in Tom’s life. I like
Speaker: chicken tenders. Let’s never fight again. It doesn’t have to be like this.
Speaker 2: There used to be a large presence, like a large store at Tyson’s Corner and that was one of, I mean, all the stores are closing, but they are, Peloton is replacing many of these stores in popular areas with a popup store or a small micro store.
Right. And that’s what this is. So we got a little look at it. It’s right in the middle of like one of the main concourse walkways. And you can try out the equipment and there’s Peloton employees there that will explain everything to you, including this lovely gentleman, Frank in the city who just seems like a delight.
I wish I could do [00:23:00] all my shopping with Frank. I love his energy. And uh, and they show you how the equipment works. So if you haven’t gotten a chance to try out, let’s say, the IQ app, Peloton iq, maybe you’ve been thinking about getting the, the tread pluses, all the new equipment that just came out. You can check out one of these micro stores and see if it’s for you.
Speaker: So Peloton is having some math issues edition is,
Speaker 2: they sure are. Um, this, I have heard one more than one person say this, but I love the picture of this because. I am not the best at math. Like my brain just doesn’t quickly do math, but even I can see the problem with this. Yes, very quickly. Same. They have three 10 minute classes stacked that they took in their history, and yet Peloton is, is giving them credit for 21 minutes.
Huh? What the hell just happened? What just happened? I don’t know.
Speaker: They’re factoring out all the instructor [00:24:00] chatter.
Speaker 2: I mean, that’s what it
Speaker: is. It’s like, tonal with time under tension.
Speaker 2: If you get a shout out, we subtract a minute.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker 2: I don’t know what is going on, but I, I mean, maybe they didn’t finish the class.
May, I mean there, there could be a thousand different reasons, but, but since many people are showing this and it’s within the annual challenge, I think it’s some kind of programming bug. Yeah. So. Good luck.
Speaker: Good luck.
Speaker 2: Good luck out there.
Speaker: Yeah. So, uh, Peloton has debuted highli training on the platform and we have an article for people that maybe need more information just about what exactly it is and what to expect.
Speaker 2: Yeah. I wanna remind people that Nikki and myself are both certified NASM training. Mm-hmm. Nikki wrote this article, so she has that trainer’s mind right in it, and she is explaining to you. Why, what it is and why Peloton is leaning into it right now. So let’s start with this program. It, first of all, when I say program, we’re calling it a program because [00:25:00] it is four weeks long and it’s five days a week.
So it’s repeatable like a program.
Speaker: Sure.
Speaker 2: However because Peloton. Show programs on TVs, smart TVs, Peloton shows, or at least Rebecca Kennedy chose to put this particular program in the collections. Okay. Okay. And it’s not all dropped in at the same time every day for those five days a week, a new class drops.
So it’s not being dropped all at once, which also happens with the program.
Speaker: Gotcha.
Speaker 2: Okay. But you’re gonna find it under collections. I just feel I need to say that because people are getting real confused.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: So the other thing is that this is different in that you’re gonna have strength, cardio, and recovery altogether.
It’s the first time Peloton has ever created a structured program that is low intensity. I’m sorry. Low impact and high intensity, and it’s structured across multiple modalities. So that is important [00:26:00]and that is what is super exciting about it. And the intensity is what’s gonna drive the adaptation.
For those of you that work out every day, it’s important to remember, and we were just talking about this this morning. Yeah. Your. Your adaptation, the changes in your body come from the recovery, not the workout itself. So for those of you that are like, I gotta workout every day. No, you don’t. Yeah.
And in fact, especially as we get older ladies, that is not helping you. But anyway. Uh, this is for anybody though. If you have joint pain, prior injuries, maybe a runner or a cyclist looking to reduce impact load because you’re always putting high impact on there. Yeah. Strength focused athletes who wanna make sure they’re including cardio busy people who need efficient, well-rounded training.
Anyone prioritizing long-term health and consistency. See, it’s for everybody. And it’s total body fitness. The other cool thing is, and this is super important, rebecca is not a bike. Teacher.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Okay, so, so this particular program includes zero [00:27:00] bike. People are losing their minds over that. So I just wanna point out that Matt was kind enough to work with Rebecca to make a table that actually shows.
What this call out means on the bike. So people can still take these classes. Oh, that’s
Speaker: cool.
Speaker 2: On their bike. Uh, you can also go outside and do it outside, like it the world doesn’t end if you like, listen to a class and take it outside. So there are multiple ways to do this. And essentially.
This is really exciting for people, but people are also very upset because they feel like there’s too much equipment that’s needed. They don’t have they don’t have a tread, so I can’t do it. Right. They don’t have a Pilates ball. You could, Rebecca is giving you ways to do all these things without the equipment.
So like, you don’t,
Speaker: don’t let that stop.
Speaker 2: You don’t let that stop you. Yeah. If you’ve got some free weights, you can do this program and I recommend that you at least try it. She also, it’s
Speaker: like the doors not having a bass player.
Speaker 2: It’s just like that.
Speaker: Don’t let that scare you. [00:28:00] Let that free you. Oh yeah.
Speaker 2: Is that with, is that in the movie?
Speaker: It’s from kids in the hall.
Speaker 2: Rebecca also created trackers. First time I’ve ever seen an instructor create trackers. The programming is gonna change every week. So like, there might be a, there might be a Pilates class this week, but next week there might be something different.
The workouts themselves are changing week to week, so. She’s going to give you a new tracker every week. She also has provided a fueling log so that you can make sure you’re eating enough. Because if you’re gonna be working out hard, you need to make sure that you are taking care of your body and fueling properly.
And we are gonna have all of those tools in one place on our website so that you can find them without going and looking through. ’cause it’s hard to find on her Instagram. Yeah, it’s all in her highlights. But then you gotta scroll through like
Speaker: Sure.
Speaker 2: A bunch of stuff to get to it. So,
Speaker: and the longer you get away from those posts, the harder they will be defined.
Speaker: Before we get to the hiring let’s talk about an exit.
Speaker 2: An exit indeed. [00:29:00] Travis. Sherwin is leaving Peloton and some of you may not know who Travis is, but he is a eight year Peloton veteran.
Wow. And that’s saying a lot.
Speaker: Yeah,
Speaker 2: a lot. I can’t tell you almost
Speaker: as long as we’ve worked there,
Yeah.
Speaker 2: I can’t tell you that I’ve ever been to a Peloton event and not run into Travis. Yeah. Because he’s always there. He’s part of the team that creates those events. And he’s also just a super sweet and nice person.
He was also the. Only Peloton employee that was left when I came through the New York City Marathon. Yeah. And gave me a high five.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: And no matter what event I’ve been to, whether it was London or whether it was the New York City event or whether it was a, a fun run, Travis has been there. Yeah. And I always get a high five and a hug and.
I love him for that and I will miss him. He’s also very close friends with Maddie, so you know, he’s a good guy.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: And, uh, he will be missed. He will be very missed
Speaker: for [00:30:00] sure. And then looking at, uh, new positions that they’re hiring for, they’re Peloton is looking for a director. I hate how corporate have started doing this director global marketing measurement strategy, like.
Can I get a of or something in there?
Speaker 2: No, you get a comma.
Speaker: Yeah. Oh, I don’t understand.
Speaker 2: SEO baby.
Speaker: Yeah,
Speaker 2: because you can’t put of in, in links and things like that. Really. It’s like there’s, you could put it in there, but it ignores it like it’s not good. SEO. So why bother with the space? It’s all about SEO.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: But um, yeah, this, this particular global marketing measurement, Strat, whatever. Yeah. Um, this is going to be. Elevating the global measurement and investment strategy, including KPI, identification, prioritization, and optimization. What does that mean? It means they’re going to identify key performance indicators to say whether or not their marketing is working across different markets [00:31:00] and different channels.
Two different countries because global is included here.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker 2: Okay. Uh, Globes and they also, this person will be partnering closely with finance to quantify and track the impact on subscriptions revenues, and the lovely famous LTV to CAC that they’re always talking about on the freaking earnings call.
They love their cac, they love their LTV to CAC ratio.
Speaker: They’re CAC hunters. This. You can’t get enough Kac in their life. Just want a mouthful of kac. They’re also, are we done?
Speaker 2: Yeah,
Speaker: that’s fine. Okay. I, I’m not gonna lie, I glazed over pretty early. I know you did.
Speaker 2: I saw,
Speaker: They started throwing acronyms at me and I’m just like.
Speaker 2: I know,
Speaker: uh, and and this, I think one is more of a precore thing, looking for a technical design lead for hardware. At least I know what that means.
Speaker 2: That’s true. Also, it takes place in Woodinville, Washington, which is another indicator. It’s precore.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker 2: For those of you who listened to last week’s episode, you already know that, uh, they are looking for [00:32:00] a design lead L seven.
Apparently there’s several levels. Of leads.
Speaker: Oh, I just thought they’re really, they’re so boring. They’re squares. It’s an L seven man.
Speaker 2: No. Um, to serve as a mechanical and electromechanical architect for our next generation of hardware. Zero to one leadership role focused on emerging categories. I love this emerging.
I love hardware. I love new stuff, and this is all coming outta pre-core, so I am. Really curious to see what they’re working on. Merge
Speaker: two people can get a hard cac. That’s,
Speaker 2: it’ll really go well with your LTV.
Speaker: Yes. And this was a LinkedIn post from Dan Monroe. I love that. It’s spelled M-U-N-R-O. It’s like he took his own name.
And just condensed it, like the job titles.
Speaker 2: Why do you, what does,
Speaker: Monroe is normally M-O-N-R-O-E and he’s like shorten it up for the SEO.
Speaker 2: You know, it’s funny you say that. I have a [00:33:00] friend that I’ve been, I’ve known since like middle school. Her middle name was Monroe because it was her mother’s maiden name spelled that way.
Speaker: Yeah. I’ve never seen it spelled that way.
Speaker 2: I’ve only seen it spelled in that one case. Yeah. I believe it’s French. French Descendency. Okay. Oh,
Speaker: very fancy.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Uh, but yeah, he also has like a bunch of patents. Yeah. Um, from what we can tell, this dude, uh, seems to have a new patent. Pretty much monthly.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: So you go Dan Monroe, but there’s like mechanical assemblies for a treadmill was the most recent one.
Speaker: Well, one of the patents was for some sort of a device that would sense when an object is getting close to the tread to shut it down.
I thought that was interesting.
Speaker 2: It is
Speaker: interesting given Pelotons tread history.
Speaker 2: It is interesting. It is.
Speaker: Speaking of interesting, you know what’s really interesting,
Speaker 2: what
Speaker: all the things we’re gonna tell you about next when we do commercials.
Speaker 2: Good luck.
Speaker: They’re so [00:34:00] interesting,
Speaker 2: so interesting.
Speaker: And but. That’s uninteresting enough for you. We will also have instructors on the news. On the other side of that, we’re gonna talk about Matt ER’s upcoming schedule, who is on Good Morning America, and which instructor is hiring. So stick around.
Speaker: if you would like to track down Matt Wiler in real life. He has provided his 2026 racing schedule for you or for our listeners in the, in the Uck. Schedule.
Speaker 2: And also please don’t be creepy. It, don’t make it weird. Don’t make it weird. He said this was an example, so this does not indicate that he’s definitely doing all these.
We have confirmation of several of these Yeah. Races. But, um, just from a stalking standpoint, I just wanna put a disclaimer out that you should not. Please don’t. Yeah. Um, follow instructors around. It’s kind of weird, but he is going [00:35:00] to be doing, uh, the New York City half on March 15th. He’s going to be doing London on April 26th.
The whole marathon, not the half. ’cause there’s no half listed. I don’t know. Anyway, he’s gonna be doing the five Why
Speaker: go all the way to London for a
Speaker 2: half,
Speaker: you know?
Speaker 2: Right, right. Do I do that? Five borough bike tour on May 3rd? You
know
Speaker: what they say in for a shilling in for a quid. Something like that.
Speaker 2: Sure.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: You might have just said it backwards ’cause we don’t even know.
Speaker: No clue. In for a euro in for a ruble.
Speaker 2: No, that’s not right.
Speaker: No, that’s not it.
Speaker 2: Uh, Highland’s Grand Fondo on June 7th, he’s doing, uh, the Iron Man, 70.3, so that’s a half Iron Man.
Speaker: And Fondo is my favorite of all the hobbits.
Speaker 2: And he hold.
Doing that June 21st, there’s the New York Roadrunners, Achilles Hope and Possibility for Mile Race June 28th, bank of America Chicago Marathon on October 11th, and the Grand Fondo Hein Capi Greenville in October 17th. That [00:36:00] is a Peloton favorite right there. The road riders used to do that all the time. I think that page has gotten very quiet these days.
Ah. But. That used to be a big one.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: For the, uh, road riders page.
Speaker: Kira Michelle was on Good Morning America.
Speaker 2: She was, yeah. She was also on a, b, c news this week. We’ll talk about that over
Speaker: bonus. Yeah. I guess while she was there, they just had her knock ’em both out. They
Speaker 2: were like, just do a bunch of newscasts.
All A, B,
Speaker: C.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Uh, she talked about stretching, meditation, all of the things to start off the year being grounded. In a world that’s burning down around you. She didn’t say that. That was my ad.
Speaker: It was implied.
Speaker 2: It was,
Speaker: uh, Robin Arza is looking for a social media manager.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Um, I thought this was interesting.
I got shit on when I said, I bet this pays a lot, but I stand by what I said. I bet this pays really well for a social media manager. Yeah. I’m not saying somebody who makes a hundred grand should quit their job.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker 2: But but like I bet for a social media manager. This pays really well. I also bet that she has some very high expectations.
Yeah. And you will work your ass [00:37:00] off. I
Speaker: think both of those things are probably true.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. I, I, uh, I think it’s really cool. If I lived in the New York area, I think I would be interested in this just because I, I really like whether you like Robin as a person or not, I just don’t know how you can’t respect.
Her brain and how it operates. Yeah. She’s a smart woman. Mm-hmm. She’s really savvy and uh, I would like to watch that at work.
Speaker: Yeah, no, I totally get that.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker: barry McCarthy. Remember him?
Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
Speaker: He was, uh. CEO of Peloton there for a minute.
Speaker 2: Hot minute.
Speaker: Hot minute. He has joined the board of Strava.
Speaker 2: Yeah, and I find this incredibly interesting, the timing of this. I’m gonna tell you why too. One reason that I find this super interesting is because Strava quietly filed IPO consideration.
They just. Under the radar. Yeah. [00:38:00] Started the process to become public and they are growing like wildfire. The other reason I find there’s a few things. One, don’t forget that Barry came out of retirement to
Speaker: Yeah, I was. I was like, I thought this guy was retired. Well, one, a
Speaker 2: lot of people joined boards who are retired.
That’s
Speaker: true. It’s not as intensive as actually, you know, running a company, but you still get to make a bunch of money.
Speaker 2: Yes.
Speaker: Yeah,
Speaker 2: that’s what, and then the other thing I find fascinating about this is there are all these companies out there. There are all these. Targeted things happen. I don’t even know what to call them, but their posts on Instagram and it’s by several different channels.
They talk about Peloton, clearly to get the clicks, but on each of them is some version of the following. Peloton. Went to shit. And then Barry came in and started focusing on the data. And the data showed that they needed to make Peloton instructors stars. So they did that. And then [00:39:00] Peloton rebounded.
There have been. At least four of these posts in the last month. And I keep getting tagged on them because people are like crystal like, ’cause it’s, it is not the full story at all. Yeah. And every single one of them appears to be selling something. But what kills me about it is that people. Actually are buying this bullshit.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Like this is, no disrespect towards Barry. I actually really started off disliking Barry and then kind of came around on him by the end. Yeah. Because I thought he was at least trying new things. Yeah. And something needed to happen.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker 2: But what bothers me about it is that, listen, this is important.
For anybody who’s been around any length of time, let me make it clear. It’s always been the community and it’s always been about the instructors. Yeah. That has always been the thing. Barry did not do shit about that.
Speaker: Yeah. Like that,
that
Speaker 2: that has always been the thing.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: And. Also, we’re not back at [00:40:00] $168 a share, so don’t talk to me about stock prices rebounding.
And also why are you talking about Barry when Peter Stern is now managing the company and nothing has changed. I don’t get why they’re so focused on him, but I find the timing fascinating. Yeah. Considering he just joined Strava’s board.
Speaker: Yeah, no, that’s, uh, hard enough to. Get conspiratorial about that.
It’s,
Speaker 2: it is, but my head’s in a dark place these days, so
Speaker: I get it.
Speaker 2: I know.
Speaker: Coming up after this, we’re gonna talk content. We got the TCO top five. Take a look at what’s on our radar, what we think should be on you, on your radar, not on you, I mean, unless that’s your, it’s not here to king. Shame and all sorts of other stuff.
So stick around.
Speaker: It is time for the TCO top five. You told us your favorite classes. So here’s what you told us. Uh, number one favorite [00:41:00] artist series class.
Speaker 2: It was recommended by Daniel Deppa Accidental pr.
This was taught by just king.
Speaker: I just wanna say. That’s a fun name to say.
Speaker 2: It is
Speaker: Daniel Deppa.
Speaker 2: It is, yeah. I don’t even know if I’m saying it correctly, but I’ll say it again. Yeah. Daniel Deppa.
Speaker: Yeah,
Speaker 2: It just rolls.
Speaker: Congratulations on your fun name.
Speaker 2: It is. And you’ve got a great, leaderboard name as well.
I
Speaker: wouldn’t even use leaderboard name. I
Speaker 2: wouldn’t either. I would be Daniel Depa.
Speaker: I would be, I would just be De Pippa
Speaker 2: Deppa.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Deppa
Speaker: Salt and Deppa. That’s what my leaderboard would name would be. De Pippa Deppa Longstockings. That’s what my leaderboard name would be.
Speaker 2: So anyway, this class was taught by just King.
It was the 30 minute Lord Rock, Lord Walk. And uh, this was debuted on the seventh of this month. Daniel said it had a good class plan and great music, and of course, Lord’s music fits just vibe perfectly
Speaker: to pip pip puree. That’s what my leaderboard name would be.
Speaker 2: I love it.
Speaker: Yeah,
Speaker 2: [00:42:00] you’re very ppy.
Speaker: Number two, your favorite cool down ride.
Speaker 2: You might sense a theme here. Uh, this fun
Speaker: names
Speaker 2: No.
Speaker: Oh.
Speaker 2: But Lord was the 10 Minute Lord Cool Down Ride taught by Christine Dele. And, uh, Carrie Logan recommended this class saying, and has excellent music in a chill vibe. Four classes fit into your, four songs fit into one 10 minute class.
I thought that was pretty impressive.
Speaker: Yeah, this is like, normally you gotta be like the Ramones
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker: To get that.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. And number three, favorite ride. Keep it and simple. Just a favorite ride.
Speaker 2: That’s right.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Well, it was taught on it dropped on January 7th at midnight Eastern time, Sam, yo, 30 minute eighties ride.
Laura Mon Steven, uh, recommended this class saying it was a vibe. That was in all caps. Okay, so she meant it.
Speaker: She said it’s a vibe.
Speaker 2: Yes, she did. She also said it was great music. Great music. Challenging but fun class plan. I was sweaty and happy when I finished it. I’ll be taking it again. Uh, [00:43:00] Amy Wickstrom also nominated this ride and said, if you’re an eighties kid at heart, you will recognize and sing along to every song.
Speaker: Number four, your favorite walk run.
Speaker 2: The artist series had it this week. A Vichi Walk plus run was a 30 minute taught by Olivia Amato. Megan Pace recommended this Walk Plus Run. She said it was a lot of fun. She loved the timing of the intervals and the music was great, making the class fly by.
Speaker: And finally, number five, your unst stackable. It’s a core class with Robin. Thankfully she’s not wearing yellow.
Speaker 2: Okay. She’s not wearing yellow, but okay. Nikki recommended this class,
Speaker: Uhhuh.
Speaker 2: And again, Nikki is an A SM certified.
Speaker: She’s no slouch.
Speaker 2: She is no slouch. That woman works out a lot. Five minute core strength, she said.
She said Robin doesn’t believe in breaks. she said, if you aren’t careful, it will grate your spine like a block of Parmesan. She said, usually I stack Robin’s core classes like pancakes for breakfast, but this one I was one and done with single [00:44:00] leg V ups, rollups bicycles, and hollow body holes, all that rocking and rolling.
Turned the core burn way up. And I actually ended up with a raw spot on my spine to prove it worth it. Yes. Will I do this class again? ASAP? Yes. Will I also wear a thicker sports bra next time so I don’t lose this layer of skin also? Yes.
Speaker: Taking a look at this week at Peloton, we’ve got. Kettlebell strength and conditioning classes.
Speaker 2: Yeah. People are so excited about kettlebell and, uh, this week we, it is being featured by a saw and it’s 30 minutes. It’s dropping on January 13th on demand. We are super excited to see more kettlebell classes and people are very, very anxious to find out when Zacharias will be getting his debut kettlebell classes because it’s been promised those will happen.
And you know what? For those of you listening out there, we haven’t forgotten about Ash. She’s supposed to be teaching Pilates and it was supposed to be, uh, announced in December, and I don’t know what the hell happened, huh? Because none of [00:45:00] that occurred. But we’re looking forward to it. It’ll happen someday.
Speaker: Uh, we also have a pop punk row with Katie.
Speaker 2: We do this is going to be a live class, 20 minutes and it will be Thursday, January 15th at 6:30 AM Eastern.
Speaker: And Jen Sherman has. One of her ever popular mix tape rides.
Speaker 2: Yeah, that’ll be debuting January 17th. It’s gonna be a 45 minute one and it’ll be on Saturday, not Sunday.
Speaker: Okay. And we have percentage hike, hike, drop classes.
Speaker 2: These are new. This is brand new. So, uh, they
are focused on keeping the speed low and the incline high. That’s what these classes are gonna be. Well. Let me say this again. We’ve already seen a couple of these. There are new hike, drop, hike percentage classes that have dropped. There’s four of them. We’ve seen a couple of them so far. And these are all already on demand.
You’ve got one by John Hoskin, Jocelyn Thompson Rule, [00:46:00] Kirsten Ferguson, and Mela. We a kind.
Speaker: Then taking a look at the radar. We have high rocks training returning.
Speaker 2: We do, there’s already several classes that are coming up. There is a new bootcamp starting on January 13th and, uh, that is taught by Andy. Very exciting. People are looking forward to it. 45 minutes.
Speaker: And Dennis Morton has a new deep dive series.
Speaker 2: He does. It is, it premiered this week and it started with outcasts. A little shout out to Dennis Morton fan page because I know they’re very excited about this. Um, and they did an amazing video. They’re, their reels on Instagram are like
Speaker: top notch.
Speaker 2: They got it going on. Yeah. Yeah. Very exciting.
Speaker: And if you love a long run, they have things for you.
Speaker 2: They do. Uh, there’s three. 360 minute classes. One is with Mariana Fernandez, it’s an endurance run. Bex Gentry has an endurance run. And then there is a hip hop run with Marcel Dinkins [00:47:00] all again, 60 minutes. I think that is the first time I’ve ever seen 360 minute run classes in one week.
Speaker: Oh wow.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker: And uh, also there is a new two for one strength.
Speaker 2: This is a big deal. Listen. I don’t know who else out there really wants Eric and a saw to be a couple, but just so you know, we’re all rooting for it over at the cup out. And this is going to be a first time ever, two for one strength with Eric and a saw. And there may be. We’re hoping yoga because they’re all constantly doing challenges.
Gotcha. They do all these holds that they do on Instagram and it’s hilarious. So we’re hoping,
Speaker: and uh, Bradley Rose has a 60 minute ride.
Speaker 2: That means four 60 minute classes this week, guys. Whoa. It’s the third time that Bradley’s ever done a 60 minute ride. It’s gonna be a nineties rock ride dropping.
Speaker: Kristen’s new running program is available.
Speaker 2: It is, remember, it is focused on beginners. Call yourself a runner, and that is going to be available on January 16th.
Speaker: Resin has a [00:48:00] special menopause ride for people.
Speaker 2: There are two classes coming up, uh, one with Susie, one with Christine. It’s gonna be a run with Susie, ride with Christine.
They’re both taking place on January 17th. Yes, they’re full because it was basically all the resin people.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker 2: Um, and uh, there’s also gonna be a panel discussion with Christine and Susie that, uh, are going to be taking place as well. Susie will be. On the big screen from PSL,
Speaker: so. Gotcha. Yeah. And uh, Greta Dopp has a sculpt flow,
Speaker 2: brand new one popping up and it’s gonna be taking place on January 17th.
Speaker: We talked about high rock stuff earlier, but there is a new 12 week. High Rocks program for people.
Speaker 2: Yeah. So first of all, let’s just, let’s just celebrate 12 weeks.
Like I haven’t seen anybody do this except for Tonal. Yeah. So, yay, Peloton, that’s awesome. And it’s gonna be 12 weeks focused on High Rocks training. Andy actually announced this live during a class. It’s gonna be dropping on February 27th. It’s going to include boot [00:49:00] camps, row classes, meditation classes, and.
Strength classes. That is very exciting.
Speaker: Yeah. That’s a lot.
Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
Speaker: Maddy Mamo has made some changes to his walk-in talks.
Speaker 2: Maddie does have changes. One of the big things that you’re gonna notice is now he’s always going to wear orange in every class so that you can easily visually group those classes together because there’s not a collection.
I mean sure he didn’t say that, but I’m saying it for them. Yeah. Also, he’s going to say, he said that the Max Incline over the course of four classes is gonna be. 5%. There’s going to be a song of the week every week. The song this past week was Prince’s Win Doves Cry. He chose it because of Stranger Things, and next week’s Max Incline will be 5%.
There’s also gonna be a power segment within the class. Sometimes it’ll be at the beginning and sometimes it’ll be at the end.
Speaker: Okay. And then finally, uh, Matt Wiler has some. Tweaks for Power Zone to help newbies.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Interesting. We talked about how there was, [00:50:00] uh, advanced beginner classes for Power Zone uhhuh.
Those showed up on the schedule last week. There actually. Those are specifically supposed to proceed power zone endurance. So like as you’re building your knowledge of power zone and you’re just starting out, you have beginner classes, then the advanced beginner, and that’s when you would then wanna kind of run into the power zone endurance classes.
He’s basically like creating, it seems to everybody that he’s creating his own, build your base. And then he’s setting it up more as a year long goal. Um, so, uh, he also said that by the end of the year they will be doing 10 minutes in zone four. He said this person said a lot of people can do that already, but that’s a really great entry point for new people.
Speaker: Yeah, for sure. And that’s great ’cause I know, I’m sure power zone can feel overwhelming.
Speaker 2: Absolutely.
Speaker: If, if you’re not already. Enmeshed.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Especially when it’s like, hold this thing for 20 minutes, [00:51:00] or whatever. You know, the thing. It’s, that’s a lot for like, like it’s a lot. For
Speaker: sure. Yeah.
Speaker: And looking at birthdays, we’ve got two this week on January 19th. It is the birthday of Cliff Wanger, or if you’re Pelotons Instagram, Clifford
Speaker 2: Clifford.
Speaker: And on January 22nd. It’s been Aldis, so happy birthday to both of you guys.
Speaker 2: Happy birthday. I will say, somebody messaged me and said, at the end of Cliff’s, every one of Cliff’s classes, he said, my name is Clifford Wanger, but you can, my friends can call me Cliff, or my whatever.
Yeah, so he says both. So I just wanted to point that out.
Speaker: So if his friends call him Cliff, well, Peloton called him Clifford.
Speaker 2: Maybe they were just trying to be respectful.
Speaker: Well, wouldn’t start any rumors, but. Hard not to read into that. So, uh, anyway, that brings this episode to a close until next week. Where can people find you?
Speaker 2: People can find me, on Facebook, at facebook.com/crystal dokie. You can also find me on [00:52:00] Threads Blue Sky Instagram and the. The Peloton leaderboard at Clip Out Crystal.
Speaker: And you can find me on Threads in Blue Sky at Tom O’Keefe Jr. Or on Facebook at facebook.com/tom O’Keefe.
