This and That: Week of July 27

Don’t the weeks just fly by?  We sure think so – it’s already time for This and That for the Week of July 27!  Sit back, relax, and enjoy five tidbits from the Peloton news mill that you may have missed this week!

Walk-ins Welcome!

Do Thursdays at noon stress you out?  Do you never have luck getting into a class of your choice?  Well, if you happen to be in NYC, you may finally have some luck.  Peloton quietly changed their policy on allowing walk-ins to join classes if there is room available.  If there are no shows or cancellations resulting in spots available in a class, Peloton chooses who fills those spots using a lottery system from their standby list.  Previously, the standby list consisted of only members from the wait list, but they are now allowing walk-ins to be placed on the standby list.  If you’re in NYC with some free time, stop by the studio – you may end up getting a great workout in and meeting your favorite instructor!

Emma’s Officially on Maternity Leave

It’s nearly baby time for Emma Lovewell and her fiancé, Dave Clark.  Emma taught her last cycling class this week and announced that it’s time for her to head home and wait for baby.  She said she will be back in a few months and there will be Tread content dropping in her absence!  Emma, who has been a well-loved cycling and strength (core, anyone?) instructor for a while, just began teaching Tread hikes while pregnant, and we can’t wait to see what else she brings to Tread both before and after baby.  Best wishes for a safe and healthy delivery, Emma!

Ally Love to the Hosting Seat

Ally Love recently hosted an hour of The Today Show alongside Craig Melvin and Jason Soboroff.  Ally took to Instagram to share how exciting and exhilarating her time on air was, noting that she chatted with Nick Jonas about his new movie and Jessie Malone about her inspiring health journey.  We are sure Ally brought her infectious energy and positive vibes to The Today Show set, and are looking forward to hopefully seeing her host again in the future!

Christine D’Ercole Receives Heartfelt Gift

Christine D’Ercole recently shared on her Instagram stories that she received an incredibly meaningful gift from a member – his finishing medal from the Giro di San Diego Palomar Metric Century race – a 56 mile race that includes the Palomar Mountain climb that Christine featured on the Peloton platform.  His gift was accompanied by a heartfelt handwritten note complimenting Christine on how inspirational she is.  What a one-of-a-kind meaningful gift!

Hannah Frankson Found Some Vikings in Her Class

Minnesota Vikings players Joshua Metellus and former player Keenan McCardell recently took a class in London with Hannah Frankson and appeared to be having the time of their lives!  Hannah is a new but passionate fan of the NFL and per her Instagram, appeared to be fangirling, taking photos, and even learning some new dance moves with the guys! We hope the heart-pumping beats and Hannah’s energetic teaching style got them pumped up and hooked on Peloton for life!
