Revisiting Nostalgia with Andrea Barber and Jodie Sweetin
The Clip Out recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Full House star Andrea Barber for an exclusive interview on The Clip Out podcast. The conversation was filled with laughter, nostalgia, and some heartwarming moments—a true treat for any Full House fan!
A Dynamic Duo Reunited
Jodie Sweetin joined Andrea for part of the interview, giving fans a double dose of their favorite TV frenemies. Andrea and Jodie revealed they are now co-hosting a podcast together, How Rude, Tanneritos!
“We’re a good balance,” Andrea shared. “Jodie is great at improv and being funny and witty. I have to plan everything out. I have to get the outlines and plan everything. Jodie is like, ‘I’m going to wing it.’”
Memories from the Full House Set
Andrea reminisced about her time on the set of Full House, where she and Jodie shared many experiences. They recounted how they spent lunches together, their moms being close, and the fun they had throwing barbs back and forth as their characters, Kimmy Gibbler and Stephanie Tanner.
“With Fuller House, we got to have so much fun with the ridiculous Kimmy-Steph bits,” Andrea said. “We’re being ourselves and making fun of our teenage selves, bad hairstyles, and our terrible fashion sense from the 1980s.”
Bob Saget’s Influence
Bob Saget, who played Danny Tanner, left a lasting impact on Andrea. She shared a touching story about her first visit to the Laugh Factory with Bob, where he performed a stand-up set. He even warned her about an off-color Kimmy Gibbler joke, showcasing his considerate nature.
Peloton Adventures
Andrea also opened up about her love for Peloton, mentioning her favorite instructor, Matt Wilpers. She hasn’t been riding recently due to health and personal reasons but expressed her intention to get back on track. Fun fact— several Full House cast members, including Jodie Sweetin and Candace Cameron Bure, are also Peloton enthusiasts. Imagine a Full House group ride!
Launching How Rude, Tanneritos
Andrea and Jodie’s podcast, How Rude, Tanneritos, is a deep dive into Full House episodes, scene by scene, filled with analysis, humor, and guest appearances from their former co-stars.
“We have great producers. They’re doing a lot of the work too,” said Andrea. “It’s been so much more fulfilling than I expected because I have such a greater appreciation for the show.”
