Peloton’s Top News Stories of 2025
It was a big year in Peloton news, both in the studios and out in the Peloverse. Let’s dive in and look back at some of the top stories that shaped our 2025. And for the naysayers who always wonder, “what have they done for me lately?” Here’s a little reminder…
New Class Types
Peloton kept us moving this year, adding new classes in lots of modalities.
We saw:
- Longevity classes to help us age better (and participate with family members who are on the older side)
- Kettlebell classes that added dimension to our strength workouts
- Form Fixer Row classes to help members really move with precision
- Percentage Hikes give walkers that extra oomph of focused elevation
- The return of Free Mode that gave Tread+ users the ability to manually move the belt with their feet… a tough but beloved feature
- Weekly Outdoor Run Club classes with rotating instructors
- Pace Targets on the app for runners, and on the Tread for walkers, helping members run and walk using personalized data measurements
- Menopause programming, first with the Sprint Interval Ride and Weighted Vest Collections, then with the ReSpin partnership
- HYROX training classes and lots of motivation from isntructors who are participating in the HYROX lifestyle themselves
- Rehab and “prehab” classes designed in partnership with the Hospital for Special Surgery (sounds like they really want to keep us healthy!)
- Sculpt Flow, a reimagined “yoga conditioning” that blends yoga, Pilates, and Barre with light weights

New Instructors
This fall, Peloton welcomed Guest Instructor Tim Robards from Australia to Peloton Studios London for a monthlong residency. While he was there, he filmed a number of fun 2-for-1 classes with the team there that will be dropping On Demand.
Peloton also revealed a big secret they’d been keeping for nearly a year – three new yoga instructors who made their debut just after Thanksgiving! Zacharais Niedzwiecki, Greta Dopp, and Johanna Ricouz. They are a lively addition to the yoga and strength teams!

New Tech
We knew that changes would be afoot this year and wow, did Peloton deliver. Our member experience changed with these “upgrades” (and if you are a fan or not, check out our reviews in our companion article, The Naughty and Nice List):
- The redesign of the dashboard (are you Team Reverse Background or were you happy when they gave us the option to reset it after a few months?)
- Graphic changes with fonts and badges
- The addition of mileage on the the Leaderboard
- The divisive Club Peloton that gamifies our experiences (for better or worse… I’m talking to you, super-secret-live-rides-by-level!)
- Peloton’s Chat GPT integration
- The Peloton IQ member data enhancements AND the new integrated Cross Training Equipment that ties the whole thing together

New Ways to Buy
Speaking of new equipment, one notable event in 20205 was the launch of Peloton Repowered. This is a branded secondary marketplace built to make it safer and easier for Members and future Members to buy and sell used Peloton equipment. Why is this so important? Because as some members eventually upgrade their equipment to the Cross Training series, there is now a safer path for resale of existing equipment. While there is no “trade in” program to do this per se, there are discount incentives towards new purchases.

Also this year, while Peloton did close nearly all remaining showrooms, it expanded retail access by adding the Johnson Fitness store chain to its distribution, along with Dick’s and Amazon for select models. At the holidays it also began to open popup shops in select malls.

New Tea!
The unofficial “tea” in the Peloverse was lots of fun to watch unfold this year. We had weddings and babies, and more babies, oh my! And some exiting side hustles!
- Ally Love announced the birth of her little boy (after not really acknowledging her pregnancy until she left for maternity leave and only using a lion emoji to talk about him on her IG, no name shared)
- Cliff Dwenger, ultimate #GirlDad, welcomed his second daughter, Azura
- Callie Gullickson will have her second baby early in 2026
- Selena Samuela announced that her pregnancy was to be surprise twin girls! She announced that Stella and Frankie (Francesca) were born December 13
- Leanne Hainsby Alldis and Ben Alldis announced the birth of their first baby, Ace Eddie Alldis, born December 10
- Matty Maggiacomo married Evan in a small Central Park ceremony with family looking gorgeous in their coordinated fall wardrobes
- Katie Wang married Viari in a tropical destination wedding full of Peloton instructors and beautiful sunsets
Peloton instructors love to be part of pop culture and this year was no different. We enjoyed:
- Robin Arzon got a T1 Diabetes themed Barbie Doll designed in her likeness
- Tunde Oyeneyin won the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model competition
- Camila Ramon recorded and released her first and second music singles and launched a podcast, “Hasta Abajo with Melissa Ortiz and Camila Ramón”
- Cliff Dwenger competed on The Voice Germany (for the second time!) and made it to the semi finals as a rapper
- Matty Maggiacomo launched a Broadway-themed podcast, “Drama Club with Matty”
- Hannah Corbin released a book/activity cards called, appropriately, “Did You Stretch Tho
- Callie Gullickson released a recipe book called Mocktail Hour
- Christne D’Ercole announced she is writing a book based on her Wordshops (and her daughter got married at her lovely home)
- Robin Arzon’s cookbook, Eat to Hustle, will be released in March, 2026
- Sam Yo announced his book, “The Monk’s Mindset: Finding Stillness in a World That Won’t Stop Moving” is available for preorder now and will be released in spring 2026
And former instructors made the news too:
- Kristin McGee joined Tonal and released her own app
- Kendall Toole also released her own workout app
- Jennifer Jacobs joined Ladder, and, well, we all know how that went! But if you don’t, or just want a piping hot cup of tea, we’ve got that recapped throughout our other year-end articles.
