Peloton Studios Quietly Rolls Out a Critical Marketing Choice on Its Booking Site
Some Peloton members are encountering a new screen when they log into the Peloton Studios booking site. The prompt asks users to set their marketing preference, presenting two clear options: receive fitness tips, retail offers, and Peloton updates, or receive no marketing messages at all. Not all accounts appear to be seeing it yet, suggesting the feature may be in a limited rollout or test.
What the Prompt Shows
The new screen appears in the My Account section of the Peloton Studios booking site and opens with a yellow banner reading “Please set your marketing preference.” Tapping through brings up a Marketing Preference screen with two radio button options. The first, which appears selected by default, reads: “Join the Peloton community to receive fitness tips, retail offers, and Peloton updates.” The second reads: “No, do not send me any marketing messages.” Members click Save to record their choice.
Who Is and Is Not Seeing It
The prompt was first spotted by a member who came across it while navigating to the Peloton Studios London schedule. Other members who had been using the Peloton Studios booking site extensively across the same 24-hour period did not see the prompt at all. Whether this is an A/B test, a staged rollout, or a feature currently being pushed to all accounts is not confirmed.
The Timing and What It Might Signal
The prompt is appearing in the same week that Peloton named Sarah Robb O’Hagan its new Chief Content and Member Development Officer. O’Hagan’s role is focused on member engagement and content, though there is no confirmed connection between the hire and this new prompt. What is notable on its own is that the Peloton Studios booking site is now surfacing a clearer mechanism for members to control whether they receive marketing from Peloton, which is worth knowing about regardless of when or why it appeared.
What to Do If the Peloton Studios Booking Site Prompts You
If the marketing preference screen appears in your My Account section at the booking site, the choice is straightforward. Members who want fitness news, class offers, and updates from Peloton can select the first option and save. Those who prefer to opt out can select the second. If you have not yet seen the prompt on the Peloton Studios booking site, it may appear on a future visit to the platform.
